There are about a million different reasons why we love to watch television. After a long hard day at the office, it allows us an easy and brief escape into another world. There are all kinds of different shows and characters we can invest our time in, and it really does feel relaxing to deal with the drama of these characters instead of our own for a moment. That being said, there is still another important reason why we watch. We are of course talking about the extremely attractive cast members. Today we will be taking a closer look at some of the particularly handsome characters we have seen over the years.
Today's quiz is all about honoring the amazing hunks that television has given us. They exist in all kinds of television genres. Whether we like the drama, the comedy, or the action, there is a hunk out there for all of us. Today we will be listing some of the more notable TV hunks one by one. Everyone is going to get the opportunity to "pick or pass" on each one. Once we have an idea of everyone's taste, we will be able to dish out some truly handsome television characters to everyone!
Conrad Hawkins (The Resident)
This surgeon is very talented, and he certainly knows it. While his skills are common knowledge around his hospital, he isn't exactly the most popular guy on the surgical floor. Conrad long ago gave up trying to get the truth out of colleagues and patients, and he instead now views surgery as nothing more than a business. Needless to say, his bedside manor leaves little to be desired. All of that being said, the guys is still a hunk! Thoughts?
John Nolan (The Rookie)
John Nolan has just gone through a life changing experience. Normally when these things happen, we reevaluate our lives and what we are doing with them. John has been doing just that. Having a newfound respect for life, John has decided to go after his dream. He is finally becoming a cop! However, being the oldest rookie on the squad is not exactly going to be easy on the guy. Marshall Eriksen (How I Met Your Mother)
In a show with three leading male characters, Marshall Eriksen still manages to stick out. Of course this may be because he is 6 foot 3, but it could also be due to the fact that he is just too adorable! His character is in love with Lilly. The two of them share a deep and meaningful, yet silly and lighthearted relationship. Many of us have often wished for a Marshall Eriksen of our own while watching the series! Pick or pass?
Jack Pearson (This Is Us)
Jack Pearson is widely known for being one of television's best fathers of all time. In the show This Is Us, we see Jack Pearson and his wife preparing to have triplets. We get to see specific scenes of them raising their children, and we also get a glimpse into their futures. Jack is no longer around in the future focused scenes, but when he is there, he really does steal the show. Do we have any Jack Pearson fans?
Barry Allen (The Flash)
Barry Allen is no ordinary TV character. When he was just a boy, he witnessed something that changed his life forever. His mother was gone, and his father was wrongly locked away for the crime. Fast forward a few years, Barry is now a crime scene investigator, determined to find out the truth about what happened all those years ago. Oh, and he is also the fastest guy in the entire world! Not too shabby ladies! What do we think?
Shaun Murphy (The Good Doctor)
Here we have our second surgeon. While they both may have the some profession, Shaun murphy is nothing like Conrad Hawkins at all. Shaun Murphy is by far the youngest surgeon to ever work at his hospital. If that did not already make him stand out, he is also autistic. He has trouble connecting with humans on a emotional level, but he certainly knows how to cure them if they are ill. How do we feel about this young doctor?
Dwight Schrute (The Office)
Okay so we realize that Dwight may not be a hunk in the most traditional sense, but not everyone out there spent 9 seasons dreaming about Jim. It seems only fair to include Dwight for all of the Angela's out there. Dwight has an over the top kind of personality. He takes things like safety and paper sales extremely seriously, and he does not have much patiences for things like practical jokes. Is there anyone here who thinks Dwight is a solid pick?
Joe Goldberg (You)
Alright so this one is a little weird. Joe is not exactly the type of guy anyone should be actively looking for, but for the purpose of this question, lets base this one strictly off of his looks. Before we knew everything we do now about Joe, he was just a cute guy working in a book shop. He was not at all creepy, but he was actually kind of sweet and charming. Would anyone here pick episode 1 Joe?
Ben Wyatt (Parks and Recreation)
There is something to be said about a man who always tells the truth. When Ben first arrived in Pawnee, he was there to evaluate their government funds and he had no intention of keeping the parks department running. Of course his plan eventually changed as he fell in love with the leader of the parks department, but he was always completely honest with her about both their relationship and their work. How is everyone feeling about Sir Benjamin Wyatt?
Jeff Winger (Community)
Jeff is not exactly the most honest guy around town. For starters he is a lawyer by trade. If that was not already teeling enough, he also faked his way through law school. Now he has been totally busted, and he is heading back to community college to make up his missing credits. This may not make him seem like a huge catch, but his new school friends seem to be pretty good influences on him! What do we think about Jeff?
Derek Shepherd (Grey's Anatomy)
Here we have the leading man of the show Grey's Anatomy. Before Derek's passing, he was one of the world's top neurosurgeons. He worked out of Seattle, but patients from all over the globe would fly in just to have him as their doctor. Derek was also a loving husband and father. He may not have been perfect, but his hair certainly always was. Any fans of this show know he was the true hunk of the series. Pick or pass?
Mark Sloan (Grey's Anatomy)
Since Grey's Anatomy is pretty well known for their very attractive cast, we figured we would sneak a second one in here. Mark Sloan was an extremely successful plastic surgeon. He was childhood best friends with the previously discussed Derek Shepherd, and he was actually in love with the younger sister of Derek's wife. Sadly like Derek, Mark is no longer with us, but his memory will live on forever. How is everyone feeling about the leader of the Plastics Pose?
Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad)
Jesse Pinkman was not exactly living an ideal life when his story on television first began. To be honest, he wasn't really living an ideal life by the end of his story either, but his final episode certainly was a powerful one. Jesse was involved in all kinds of bad business. He trusted the wrong people, and found himself in over his head. Even through all of this though, Jesse kept his good heart. Is he a favorite hunk of anyone's?
Archie Andrews (Riverdale)
So this Archie Andrews is a tad bit different than the one we used to read about in the comics. In season 1 of Riverdale, Archie was a pretty standard teenager, just trying to juggle as many things as possible. He wanted to play football and pursue his musical interests, but that's a lot for one kid to manage. These days Archie has found himself in all kids of trouble, but luckily his buddies Betty, Veronica, and Jughead are always around to help him out.
Jon Snow (Game of Thrones)
There is no denying that Game of Thrones has been one of the most popular television series of all time. That being said, the show doesn't have all that many hunks still playing active roles. Jon Snow is no doubt the dream boat of the series at this point. He was once the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, and he has since been titled the King of the North. Now we are all just waiting to see what he's got up his sleeve for the new season!
Jim Halpert (The Office)
For those who did not show much interest in Dwight, maybe Jim is more your type? Jim Halpert is the funny guy in his office. He is constantly witnessing a ton of ridiculous stuff go on, and he never fails to drop a funny comment about the situation. He is also known for being a very creative prankster. Throughout the 9 seasons of this series, we have watched Jim go to some pretty great lengths to pull of a perfect prank.
Ari Gold (Entourage)
Who remembers HBO's hit series Entourage? The show was about Vincent Chase, an up and coming Hollywood hunk. However, we are actually talking about his agent in this question. Ari Gold is known for being one of Hollywood's best agents, but he is equally known for his aggressive behavior and his inability to talk without cursing. All of that being said, he is also quite a hunk himself. How is everyone here feeling about Ari Gold? Should we pick or pass?
Barney Stinson (How I Met Your Mother)
Barney Stinson is our second leading man from the series How I Met Your Mother. Even though Marshall and Barney are best friends, they could not be anymore different. Barney is all about the suits. Throughout 9 seasons, he was seen without a suit maybe only a couple of times. Barney is also known for being quite the ladies man (honestly, that is putting it nicely). He may not be the most respectable guy in town, but can we still call him a hunk?
Seeley Booth (Bones)
Seeley Booth is a special agent for the FBI. He works very closely alongside his partner (who also happens to be his wife). Even though these two are very close, they both have fairly different approaches to their work. Seeley likes to look things from a human standpoint. While his wife is obsessed with evidence and facts, Seeley always likes to think a little more outside of the box when solving mysteries. Do we have any takers for this special agent?
Charlie Kelly (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia)
Charlie Kelly is an interesting fellow. He is not exactly the brightest bulb in the box, but he does co-own and operate a bar with a few of his buddies. The bar would have a decent shot at doing well, but most of the time Charlie and his buddies forget to leave any product behind for the paying customers. Charlie lives in a small apartment, which he shares with the father of his friends. Best to keep that in mind when selecting a choice for him...
Danny Castellano (The Mindy Project)
Danny Castellano is a doctor living in Manhattan. Already sounds like quite a catch doesn't he? He was born and raised in Staten Island, and he still regularly goes back to see his mother. Danny has one young son named Leo, but his relationship status is usually up in the air. He is a man of habit for sure, but when he is with the right woman, he has proven himself to be flexible. How are we feeling about Dr. Danny Castellano?
Harvey Specter (Suits)
Harvey Specter is one of New York City's top lawyers. After he was promoted to senior partner at his law firm, he decided to go out and hire Mike Ross as his associate. Mike of course did not have a law degree, but he was smart enough to not need one. Harvey actually like the fact that Mike was not technically a "legal hire". Harvey enjoys living on the edge a bit, and hiring Mike certainly made his life a bit more interesting.
Captain Hook (Once Upon a Time)
Captain Hook was not part of the original cast of fairytale creatures we met in season one of this series. He came around a bit later, but he quickly cemented himself in as a main character. He can usually be seen sporting his pirate look, even when walking around in our world. He tends to go back and forth from being a hero and being a bad guy, but his heart is usually in the right place. Pick or pass?
J.D (Scrubs)
Here we have yet another doctor. J.D is the main character of the show Scrubs. For 8 years J.D worked at the same hospital as a doctor of medicine, but he has since left that job behind to become closer to his son. He now works as a residency director at a different hospital. A while back he married his long time work-friend Elliot, and he has been best friends with the same man for as long as we have known him.
Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory)
Now here is a man that may not fit everyone's tastes, but we know for sure there is at least one woman out there who absolutely loves him. Sheldon is not an easy guy to befriend. He is extremely smart and he has a hard time resisting the urge to point out when others are wrong. He likes things done in a certain way and he has difficulty coping when his rules are not followed. Even though he is flawed, he has managed to find the girl of his dreams.
Jake Peralta (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
Jake Peralta is a detective in Brooklyn. While he does take his detective work quite seriously, there is not a whole lot else in his life that could be considered "serious". This guy is all about joking around and making the most fun out of any given situation. Of course his boss is constantly trying to calm him down, but Jake eats enough candy daily to ensure his energy levels are always at their peak. How do we feel about this cop?
Michael Scofield (Prison Break)
Michael Scofield may just be one of the smartest men in the whole world. After finding out that his brother had been locked away for a crime he did not commit, Michael decided it was his duty to break him out. Obviously this was no easy task. Michael had to create his plan while still living on the outside, but then find a way to incarcerate himself to be able to pull it off from the inside of the prison. Now that is brotherly love!
Nick Miller (New Girl)
Nick Miller may not be the most matured man on the block, but he is pretty hilarious. He works as a bartender and he lives with a few of his buddies. He has been in love with his only female roommate for years, but due to his lack of maturity, he hasn't really been able to make things work with her. Still, most of us are holding onto to the hope that they will manage to find their happily ever after.
Ross Geller (Friends)
So Ross Geller is not exactly known for being one of television's more notable hunks, but his name has certainly become a household one. The show Friends ran for 10 seasons, so most of us did get to know Ross pretty well. He is a paleontologist and he lives in New York City. He has been married and divorced three times, but he still remains hopefully that his soulmate is out there. He has one daughter and he has a close relationship with his sister.
Sam Winchester (Supernatural)
Sam has had a pretty intense life so far. At a young age he was trained to be a demon hunter by his father. He has kept true to his training and he is now known for his work in the industry. He and his brother both work the same job. They are constantly putting their lives on the line to ensure our world remains safe from all of the mysterious creatures out there. How is everyone here feeling about Sam?
Jim Gordon (Gotham)
Jim Gordon is a detective who has just returned to his hometown Gotham to start working. Once arriving back in Gotham, Jim discovered things were not exactly how he had remembered them. The entire city is now being run by the bad guys, so a good detective may just be what the locals need. However, the bad guy kingpins are not just going to let him ruin all of their fun that easily. Jim definitely has his work cut out for him.
Joey Tribbiani (Friends)
Joey Tribbiani was no doubt the most obvious hunk from the show Friends. He was an out of work actor for the majority of the show, although he did have a brief spell as a regular on the show Days of Our Lives. While he was never the most successful, he always did the best with the ladies. Joey was all kinds of cute and charming. If there was one thing Joey enjoyed more than the ladies, it would have to be food.
Justin Foley (13 Reasons Why)
Justin Foley is a troubled kid. Things were never exactly easy for him, but the last few years have been particularly difficult. He was living with his best friend Bryce and his family, because his own home was not a happy place. While Bryce did offer him a safe place to live, the guy was not exactly a great influence. Justin has been spinning out of control lately, but we are all hoping he makes a turnaround in the next season.
Luke Danes (Gilmore Girls)
Luke Danes owns and operates the most popular diner in Stars Hollow. When he was growing up his father owned a hardware shop, but after he passed away, Luke decided to transform it into a business he could run himself. The diner is a staple in the town now, so he has done quite well for himself. His love life has not gone as smoothly though. While he met his soulmate years ago, the two of them have had a hard time making it stick.
John Luther (Luther)
John Luther is famous in his line of work. He works as a detective for the special crimes unit, and he is no doubt the very best at the job. However, the things he has had to see over the years have started to get to him. He now takes his own approach to solving cases, and holds very little stock in the rules. He has even gone as far as breaking the law himself. No obstacle is too great when it comes to taking down bad guys!
Don Draper (Mad Men)
Don Draper was a man from the 60s. Back then, the only business to be in was advertising. Don Draper was the advertisement man. Anytime a new product was hitting the market, he was the guy to consult. However, as the years passed, Don found it harder and harder to keep up with all of the oncoming competition. If that was not already tough enough, Don also had a wife and young children to care for at home. Things sure were tough for rich men in the 60s...
Nate Archibald (Gossip Girl)
Nate Archibald was one of the many hunks from the show Gossip Girl. When we first met him, he was a high school student. He attended the most prestigious school on the Upper East side of Manhattan, and rules simply did not apply to him or his friends. Growing up in that sort of lifestyle, did have some effects on Nate. However, after moving through all of the drama, things have seemed to work out quite nicely for him. Thoughts?
Steve Harrington (Stranger Things)
Steve Harrington is a real hero. Back when his show first began, it looked as though he was going to be a bad guy. However, as the show progressed and the situations became more dire, Steven really stepped up to the bat. His town was facing all kinds of wickedness, but Steve was ready to face it all head on. He also went above and beyond to ensure the young children of the show were always kept safe. Pick or pass?
Phil Dunphy (Modern Family)
Phil Dunphy is a classic family man. He has a loving wife and three beautiful children. He works as a real estate agent and does a good job supplying for his family. Phil has never exactly been the smartest guy in town, but more often than not, he has the right idea about how to approach any given situation. He has proven to us time and again that thinking outside of the box is always our best bet. Pick or pass?
Rick Grimes (TWD)
Rick Grimes has not had an easy life. He was once a happily married man and father, but things took a wicked turn after the zombie apocalypse happened. For years, Rick has been the man in charge of keeping a group of survivors safe, but the responsibility has taken a toll on him. He has lost many important people along the way, and he has considered giving up many times. What would we do without him though? Pick or pass?
Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Who remembers Spike? Spike had a very interesting story line throughout the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. In season 2, he entered the show as the main villain. He remain a bad guy for several seasons, but eventually his bad guy attitude started to wear off. He was still a vampire, but no one was really all that scared of him after a while. It of course did not help that he developed a crush on the slayer herself. Thoughts?
Stefan Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries)
Stefan Salvatore may look like a handsome young man, but he is infact a handsome old man. He is technically a vampire who has been around for centuries. Still, his looks allow him to fit in with the young crown everywhere he goes. He is not a bad vampire, and he actually tries his best to keep certain humans safe. He has a brother who is also a vampire, but keeping him under control has never been an easy thing for Stephan.
Jamie Fraser (Outlander)
Jamie Fraser is not a man from our time. After Claire Randall touched a magical stone, she was transported back in time. This is where she met Jamie. Jamie was a highlander in Scotland and a very handsome one at that. It did not take long for Claire to fall for Jamie, even though she still has a husband back in her own era. Jamie has been through some tough stuff, but he has always managed to come out of these things stronger.
Dean Winchester (Supernatural)
Since we have already talked about Sam, we thought is was appropriate to also cover his brother Dean. Just like his brother, Dean is a demon hunter. After these wicked creatures took their mother away when they were just a couple of boys, Dean and Sam both vowed to do whatever they could to bring an end to them. Dean has fought very hard his whole life to keep this world safe, and for that we must thank him. Pick or pass?
Ted Mosby (How I Met Your Mother)
Ted Mosby is our final question and final character from the show How I Met Your Mother. Ted is a hopeless romantic. The entire series was based upon him telling his kids the very long and detailed story about how he met their mother. For 9 seasons we watched Ted try to make relationships work, but it was not until the final season that we finally got to see him find the woman of his dreams. How do we feel about Ted Mosby?
