Pick Or Pass On These Sandwiches To Discover Your Celebrity Wifey

So maybe we shouldn't turn to food whenever our lives get to be too much for us to deal with. We get that. But even if we shouldn't use stress eating as a coping mechanism, that still doesn't take away from the fact that food is delicious and should be enjoyed. Hey, we only get three meals a day. Three! That's not very many. So why would we want to waste those meals on food that is sub-par? We don't play that game, soul brother, because we're only on this planet for a limited time, so we want the good stuff or we're not playing.

But, the sorry fact of the matter is that sometimes, even if we really, really want a big, fancy pants meal, between work and school and the laundry list of chores we have to attend to, we just don't have time to sit down and enjoy said big, fancy pants meal. This necessitates *drum roll* the sandwich! Woohoo! Hooray! Aw, man, we love us a good sandwich because they never fail to hit the spot. With so many breads and so many toppings, there's a sandwich for everyone! Pick or pass on these amazing sandwiches and we'll reveal everyone's celebrity wifey!

Question 1

Peanut Butter and Jelly

Ah, peanut butter and jelly *kisses fingers like a chef* a true classic! Show us a person who doesn't like a good, old-fashioned PB&J and we'll eat our hat—although we would much rather just eat a plate full of these, instead. Whether you prefer crunchy or smooth peanut butter, grape, strawberry or blueberry jam, a PB&J is sure to be delicious any which way you make it!

Grilled Cheese

Cheese is good and bread is good, so putting the two together to create something that's doubly good only makes sense, right? But when you take that plain cheese sammich and you fry it in a pan in some butter, you turn a pleasant snack into a delicious and top-notch comfort food. A grilled cheese is hard to beat.

Monte Cristo

When we hear the words "Monte Cristo" our mind goes to one of two places. We either think of A) that one book about a count written by Alexandre Dumas, or B) a delicious fried ham and cheese sandwich. Here, we're discussing the latter, because this is a quiz bout sandwiches, not literature. Anyway, whaddya think of this sammich? Good or blah?

Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato

Lettuce and tomato would be nothing—NOTHING, we tell you—without bacon. 'Course, to be completely fair, *we* would be nothing without bacon, too, because, as we all know, bacon is meat candy that makes every dish better. The BLT may seem like a big so what, but it's always here to remind us that the simple things in life are the most enjoyable.

Peanut Butter and Banana

Bananas pair with peanut butter wonderfully, and we are so here for that stuff, it's not even funny. This sandwich is sweet. It's salty. It's got that classic flavor combination thing going on, and it just works, you know? Whether you eat this as a snack or as meal—or, heck, even as a dessert—it's always dee-licious!

Beef Dip

If you love sandwiches that require being dipped into flavorful liquids then, boy, have we got a sandwich for you! The Beef Dip is a beef sandwich, as the name implies, that comes with a dip of drippings obtained during the cooking process. It's nice. Or, maybe it isn't? You decide, people, you're the one calling the shots here, not us.

Lobster Roll

Lobster is probably one of the fanciest foods you could possibly get your grubby hands on. Sandwiches, on the other hand, are inarguably one of the most casual and dressed-down meals out there. In our opinion, that makes the lobster roll something of an oxymoron. A delicious oxymoron, but an oxymoron nevertheless.

Sloppy Joe

We don't know who this Joe person is, or who they hurt in their life to cause the inventor of this sandwich to insult them by naming it "Sloppy Joe", but...we're intrigued. Also, we're hungry, because Sloppy Joes are a tantalizingly delicious combination of tomato sauce and meat on a bun, topped with pickles, onions or whatever the heck else tickles your fancy.

Pastrami on Rye

Bread in general is pretty bland (in a good way, of course), but rye bread? Pfft! Naw, son, it's all flavor, and you either love it or you don't. But, how could anybody not be a fan of rye when it's paired with some delicious pastrami? Mmm, mmm! Now that's good eatin'!

Reuben

Swiss cheese, corned beef and sauerkraut on rye bread, the Reuben is a classic sandwich offered at just about every deli that *we've* ever been to, but that's probably not saying much since we've never been to a deli. No, see, our mom was the "We have food at home!" type, so we've actually never had a Reuben, but it looks delicious. What do you think?

Po' Boy

We don't know what all goes on in Louisiana, but they're making some darn fine food down there. The Po' Boy is a traditional part of Louisiana cuisine, and even though it can consist of just about any cut of meat, it's usually fried shrimp and/or oysters sandwiched between a baguette. Now, how could that possibly taste bad?

Ham and Swiss Cheese

Ham and swiss cheese sammiches are some of the easiest to throw together, and they're casual enough to make for a great snack or low-key meal, but fancy enough to pass for an appetizer at, say, a super bowl party. Even better when served on little slider buns, this sandwich is a classic.

Muffuletta

Muffuletta is a sandwich, but it's actually the name of the bread that this sandwich is served on. The Muffuletta loaf is a round Sicilian sesame bread, and to turn it into the sandwich of the same name, it's sliced open and stuffed with cured meats, cheese and olives, which gives it that distinct Muffuletta-y flavor.

Um...yeah. So, apparently, we didn't know this, but it looks like some people have been sticking baked beans on bread and calling it a sandwich. Yeah, we were puzzled by this information, too. We mean, what is this, Of Mice and Men? We're not living in the Great Depression anymore, people, it's time to stop sticking beans on bread and calling it a meal. Then again, maybe we shouldn't knock it 'til we've tried it, eh? What do you guys think? Is this one tasty or, well, just the opposite?

Philly Cheesesteak

Now *here* is a sandwich that we can get behind! The original Philly Cheesesteak, named after the city it originated from, the city of "brotherly love", consists of thinly sliced pieces of beefsteak, melted cheese and, usually, sauteed bell peppers and onions, piles high and warm on a hoagie roll. Sheesh, talk about delicious!

Chicken Salad

The chicken salad sandwich is, well, you know what chicken salad is, right? It's just bits of chicken, celery, onion and sometimes grapes mixed together with mayonnaise—so, it naturally follows that the chicken salad sandwich is just chicken salad...on a sandwich. Couldn't be easier to make, OR easier to eat, for that matter.

Chip Butty

The Chip Butty is a popular sandwich over in the U.K., but we kinda want to make it happen everywhere else, too, because it sounds like a snack we'd be willing to eat all any hour of the day. Chips, AKA fries, covered in ketchup or salt and vinegar and sandwiched between two layers of bread, the Chip Butty completely carb-etizing.

Tuna Salad

The tuna salad sandwich: for all of those times when you've thought to yourself, "Gosh, I sure am hungry! If only there were a bad tasting, completely unsatisfying sandwich around to fill me up yet somehow leave me feeling empty inside!" Uh, sorry. Look, this isn't a bad sandwich, it's just we're still bitter because the last time we had one (which was about 20 years back, just FYI), we used some bad tuna and got food poisoning.

Cucumbers? Uh, yeah, they're alright. We mean, we wouldn't eat them by themselves since they're basically just crunchy water, but, sure. Guacamole, on the other hand? Well, now, we can't keep our hands off that stuff, it's just so darn tasty! Guacamole is the best thing that ever could've happened to cucumbers, and the two work surprisingly well together in this sandwich.

We'll be honest, we're not big fans of fish. Every time we order it at a restaurant, we end up kicking ourselves because we spent upwards of $20 when we could've just pocketed the money and licked the inside of an aquarium for free, and gotten the same result. But, hey, not everyone feels the way we do, that's why fish finger sandwiches are such a classic. Fried fish on a bun, this sandwich is an easy one to throw together.

Oh, we love this one. The Fluffernutter is a dessert that's in denial. It's literally marshmallow fluff and peanut butter on bread. The interior is so delicious, it may as well be served between two slices of pound cake. Hey, wait a minute, that's not a bad idea! Somebody make this happen, ASAP!

Ice Cream

Alright, so technically the ice cream sandwich isn't a sandwich sandwich. It's not like the Muffuletta or the Philly Cheesesteak, but it's still a sandwich, right? It's got the two bread-like cookie pieces on the outside and a delicious frozen dairy treat center. You certainly wouldn't find us complaining if we found this in our brown paper lunch bag, we can tell ya that.

What?! A cheeseburger served on a glazed donut? Oh, now, that seems unnecessary. We mean...we would still eat it, don't get us wrong, but we wouldn't be proud of that fact, that's for sure. The Luther Burger may seem like a "living life on the edge" meal, a wanton throwing of caution to the four winds. But we think it's mostly just a cry for culinary help.

Gatsby

Named after the novel you immediately thought of when you read the name of this sandwich, this one is a real delight to eat. It's a whole bunch of fries with chicken, fish or steak served on a foot-long bread roll. Don't want to jump to conclusions, but we're pretty sure we could eat the heck outta that.

Meatball Sub

The meatball sub is great. We feel like it was invented when someone made a whole batch of meatballs, took them out of the oven when the timer went off, got all excited about covering them in the homemade tomato sauce they'd been simmering on low to perfection all day only to realize, CRAP! They forgot to buy spaghetti! So, they just made the best of it, and dang if it didn't work out A-OK!

Chopped Brisket

The taste of great barbecue on a bun. What could be better than that, huh? Everything tastes *that* much better when it's on some bread, so why would brisket be any different. Similar to the pulled pork sandwich and the sloppy Joe, the chopped brisket sandwich is loaded with protein and flavor to satisfy your stomach as well as your taste buds.

Breakfast

There's a sandwich for every meal, and that includes breakfast! Hooray! But, unlike lunch, dinner and snack sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches are done just a wee bit different. Most breakfast sandwiches are served on bagels, toast or English muffins, and consist of fried or scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage and at least one kind of cheese. Tasty good!

All the beauty of the chicken fried steak but made even more perfect by the simple fact that it's served up on a bun. Ugh, look at all of the carbs on this puppy! It's a glorious thing. The chicken fried steak sandwich can contain any number of toppings, like pickles or onions, and any number of sauces, like ranch dressing or barbecue sauce, but it's also delicious all by itself.

Pulled Pork

Pork cooked until super duper tender, then pulled apart lovingly with a fork and served up on a bun, usually with some kind of sauce and a slew of toppings, the pulled pork sandwich is always satisfying and simple to put together at the end of a long day. Stick the pork in the crock pot in the morning, and come dinner time, your meal can be whipped up in mere minutes. So many reasons to love this sandwich!

Pimento Cheese

The pimento cheese sandwich is something you'll find almost exclusively in the South, where it originated, but it's a good enough sammich for what it is. Pimento cheese—which is cheese and mayonnaise mixed with pimentos—spread in a thick layer on a couple of slices of white bread, the pimento cheese sandwich may not be for everybody, but, you know what? That's okay.

Egg Salad

Eggs are a great source of proteins, healthy fats and vitamins. They're nutrient dense, that's for sure, which makes them a real no-brainer when it comes to sandwich ingredients. Mixed with celery, mayonnaise and, aw, shucks, we don't know what else! Then thrown onto a sandwich, egg salad sandwiches are so tasty, you'll forget they smell like they've gone bad.

Caprese

Caprese. Doesn't the name sound nice? The Caprese sandwich. We could say that all day. And since this sandwich's name just rolls off the tongue, you know it'll be a joy to eat, too. Mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and sliced tomatoes on bread (usually a roll, like ciabatta or a baguette), this sandwich is nothing short of delicious.

Club

We don't know if there's some kind of VIP program that you have to be a part of in order to enjoy this sandwich or if you have to know some kind of secret handshake and password in order to get one (it is called a "club" sandwich, after all), but we'd love to sample this delicious concoction—made with chicken or turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.

Tuna Melt

A step up from the tuna salad sandwich, the tuna melt is just a touch more classy than its dressed-down cousin. The tuna melt is tuna (no surprise there) with plenty of cheese, fried much in the same way a grilled cheese would be, so it reaches absolute crunchy perfection. So good, you'll forget you're even eating fish—and, really, isn't that the goal?

Falafel

Falafel, for those of you who have never experienced the sheer delight that is this treat, is the name given to deep fried balls of ground chickpeas and/or fava beans. A falafel sandwich is falafel with a variety of toppings, like lettuce and onion, served in some bread, usually a pita pocket. How could we possibly say no to that?
