Everybody has a favorite genre of music. Even though there are definitely a lot of people out there that listen to just about every type of music, most people still have that one genre that they generally listen to when they turn on the radio or start looking for new music. For many people, that's pop music. There's a reason that pop music is so popular and seems nearly impossible to avoid. Pop songs appear in commercials and are all over the radio and in TV shows and it often seems like we just can't get away from these songs.
New pop songs are being released all the time which is great for people who are really into pop music. It seems like there's always a new artist or band releasing a brand new song that's all over the radio and that we just can't get out of our heads. With so many pop songs being released all the time, there's something out there for just about every pop music lover to listen to and sing along to when they're in the shower or out for a drive.

Thank U, Next is the lead single from Ariana Grande's upcoming fourth album by the same name. The song and a music video for it were both released in 2018 and the music video features a ton of other stars from actresses and musicians to YouTube stars who have cameos in the video which references a ton of movies like 13 Going on 30 and Legally Blonde. The song goes through Ariana's past relationships with her exes like Pete Davidson and Mac Miller.
Without Me by Halsey:
Without Me is a song that was released by singer Halsey in 2018. According to Wikipedia, this song became Halsey's first song as a lead artist to hit the number one spot on the charts. Way to go! A music video was released on her YouTube channel in January 2019 after having been released on the streaming service Spotify in 2018 with the song itself. This song was a non-album single as it was not part of Halsey's second studio album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, which came out in 2017.
Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper:
Shallow is a song that is performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and is featured in the movie the two of them appear in together, A Star is Born. The song, like the movie, was released in 2018. Shallow is heard three different times throughout the movie and is the focal point of a scene in the movie in which Bradley Cooper's character invites the character played by Lady Gaga to perform it with him on stage in front of an audience.
I Like It by Cardi B:
Cardi B is definitely not shy about the fact that she likes the finer things in life. Her expensive taste has been the subject of many of the songs she's released from her debut album. I Like It is the fourth single that Cardi B has released from her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. The song was released in May of 2018 and the music video was released the same month. According to Wikipedia, this song's debut at the number eight spot on the charts made it the highest debut any of her songs have had so far.

Youngblood is a song by the band 5 Seconds of Summer that was released as the second single from their fourth studio album by the same name in 2018. According to Wikipedia, this song became the band's first top 10 single and their highest charting single to date. This band initially gained fame by uploading covers to their YouTube channel while living in their home country of Australia before going on tour with One Direction on their Take Me Home tour in 2012.
Nights Like This by Kehlani:
Nights Like This is a song by Kehlani that features rapper Ty Dolla Sign. Both the song and a music video for the song were released in January of 2019, only a few days after Kehlani announced the song would be released on her social media accounts. The song was released as a non-album single as it wasn't featured on her debut studio album which was released in 2017 and peaked at the number three spot on the US charts.
Better Now by Post Malone:
Better Now is a song by Post Malone that was released in 2018 off of his second studio album. This song reached the top 10 on the charts in multiple countries and a music video for the song was even released in 2018. Even though this catchy song is definitely a radio hit, anyone who has heard it will definitely know that this song is actually a pretty sad one. The song follows the narrator's regrets about a past relationship and how upset they are that their ex seems to have moved on.
Sweet but Psycho by Ava Max:
Sweet but Psycho is a single released by up and coming popstar Ava Max. This song was released in 2018 and is from her upcoming debut album, The Exhibitionist, which is said to be released sometime in 2019. Along with releasing this catchy pop single, Ava Max has been featured on the work of other artists like when she appeared on Make Up by Vice and Jason Derulo and Into Your Arms by Witt Lowry in 2018. Halfway There by ROZES:
Halfway There is a song by the singer ROZES that was released in 2019. ROZES got her big break in the music world after being featured on the song Roses by The Chainsmokers back in 2015. In December 2018, ROZES let fans come meet her in her hometown of Philadelphia in order to help her film the music video for the song. How cool is that? The song's lyrics talk about problems that arise after a breakup like having the same friend group and not being able to avoid one another in the daily lives of two people who used to date.

Yes, that means that it beat I Write Sins Not Tragedies, the single from their debut album that was stuck in all of our heads in 2006 after it was released. This upbeat song's lyrics are all about making your dreams come true.

Country music fans are excited to hear about Maren Morris' second studio album. While they wait for it, Morris has released the song GIRL as a single from the upcoming album. This song is a super optimistic one with lyrics all about accepting yourself and learning to stop being so heavily critical of yourself. After the guys from One Direction announced their decision to go on an indefinite hiatus and start making music by themselves, their fans were excited to see what they would do. Drake's songs always have us in our feelings, so is it any surprise that he released a song by this title? This song was released as a single in July of 2018 and is from his fifth studio album, titled Scorpion. The song even spawned an Internet meme called the "In My Feelings Challenge" that featured people dancing alongside their cars. Although we definitely don't recommend participating, we can't deny that this catchy song is pretty hard not to dance to.

Billie Eilish is definitely no stranger to the spotlight. Her older brother, Finneas O'Connell, is also a musician and an actor who is known for co-writing and producing his sister Billie Eilish's music, his role as Alistair on the musical series Glee, and appearing in several episodes of Modern Family. Billie Eilish wrote and recorded the song Ocean Eyes in 2015 for her brother's band but ended up releasing it herself. When I Was Older is her latest single, released in 2019, and is inspired by the 2018 movie Roma.
New Rules by Dua Lipa:
Let's be honest, the pop music world isn't exactly lacking when it comes to songs about breaking up with someone and then trying to move on after the breakup. Regardless of just how many of these songs exist out in the world, New Rules by Dua Lipa became a hit in the music world shortly after it was released. This song is a breakup song that goes over the "rules" for getting over a breakup and how to best handle moving on from an ex.
Hope by The Chainsmokers:
The Chainsmokers are a duo who have released quite a few popular songs through the years that include some like Closer with Halsey, Paris, Something Just Like This with Coldplay, and This Feeling with Kelsea Ballerini. Hope is their most recent song which was released in 2018 and features singer Winona Oak. A lyric video for the song that features Winona Oak was released in 2018 as well. The lyrics are about a relationship that went wrong and how the narrator realizes now it wasn't what they had thought.

Nothing Breaks Like a Heart is a song that Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson collaborated on together for Mark Ronson's upcoming fifth studio album, Late Night Feelings, which is due to be released sometime in 2019. Nothing Breaks Like a Heart was released in November 2018 and a music video for the song was released in January 2019. According to Wikipedia, Miley and Mark teased fans about the fact that they were collaborating way back in May 2018 when they posted about being in the studio together.

Khalid is a singer whose debut single was released in 2016. He started his life in the music world when he was a high school student who posted songs to the website SoundCloud before he released his debut single Location which did pretty well on the charts. Khalid was featured on Logic's single 1-800-273-8255 alongside Alessia Cara which is his highest performing song on the charts to date. His most recent single, Saturday Nights, was released in 2019 from his 2018 EP Suncity.
It Ain't Me by Selena Gomez and Kygo:
It Ain't Me is a song by DJ Kygo and actress-turned-popstar Selena Gomez. This song was released in 2017 and even though it has a really catchy beat, anyone who has heard this upbeat song will know that the upbeat nature of the song is somewhat deceptive considering the fact that the lyrics are actually kind of sad. This song's lyrics are all about someone looking back on a relationship that they realize now was no good for them as they detail the reasons they're breaking up with someone.
Gorgeous by Taylor Swift:
Gorgeous was released in 2018 as the fifth single from her sixth studio album, Reputation. According to Wikipedia, this song was written about Taylor's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, and the baby voice heard speaking at the beginning of the song is the daughter of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. How cool is that? This song is all about having such strong feelings for someone that a person isn't able to speak or act naturally around them. Don't worry, Taylor. We've all been there.

Why Don't We, often abbreviated as WDW, is a boy band made up of five members, each of whom had solo careers prior to joining the group. This band released their debut album, titled 8 Letters, in 2018. They've had multiple singles come from their debut album and EPs they've released. Their most recent single is a song called Big Plans which was released in 2019 from an upcoming album the band is working on. Big Plans is a song about taking a chance in life or in a relationship.
Comethru by Jeremy Zucker:
Comethru is a song by Jeremy Zucker and is the second single this newcomer to the music world has released. Comethru was released in 2018. According to Complex, Comethru was released only a few months after Jeremy Zucker graduated from college. Pretty cool, right? Origins was released in 2018, a few days after Bad Liar was released, and has so far produced four singles with Bad Liar being the most recent one. Considering what a heartwrenching breakup song Bad Liar is, we're not surprised!

Nicki Minaj teamed up with Anuel AA for the song Familia which appears on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack. This bilingual hit features lyrics about valuing people who are loyal and close to you above everything else. According to Genius, this song is the only one on the soundtrack for this animated superhero film that actually has direct references to the movie in Anuel AA's verse with a reference to the character Miles Morales' storyline in the movie. Pretty cool, right?
Ruin My Life by Zara Larsson:
This song was released in 2018 and is the lead single from Zara Larsson's upcoming album. Her upcoming album has yet to be given a formal release date or title but fans are still pretty excited for it!
