Who doesn't love watching movies? It seems like a new film that looks totally amazing comes out every weekend and we just can't get enough of them! Whether we're going to the cinema or relaxing at home to watch our favorites on streaming platforms like Netflix or Hulu, we're spoiled for choice. There are some movies that just never seem to get old. Whether it's because the plot is just so good that we love to experience it over and over or because our favorite heartthrob actor appears in the film, it's easy to watch some movies time and time again.
One big thing that draws many people to a movie is the actors and actresses that star in it. Whenever we see that our favorite actress or actor is going to headline, we make every effort to see it as soon as it comes out. What's better than watching our favorite celebrities in an awesome new movie? With so many talented faces in Hollywood, it's hard not to have at least one favorite. Some of us even have more than one favorite because it's just so hard to pick.

Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is a movie based on the life of the superhero that the movie is named after. Gal Gadot stars in this film as Wonder Woman herself and the movie starts out long before she was actually Wonder Woman. In the start of the film, she's simply Diana, a warrior living in the Amazon who meets a pilot who tells her all about what's going on in the outside world. Diana decides to use her strength and training in order to help the rest of the world.
To All the Boys I've Loved Before
To All The Boys I've Loved Before is a teen rom-com that is based on a novel by the same name by Jenny Han. This film was released on Netflix in 2018 and stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo. In the movie, Lana Condor plays a high school student named Lara Jean who has a unique hobby. Each time she gets a crush on someone, she writes them a letter and then never sends it. Unfortunately, all these letters are mailed out one day and Lara's secret is no longer a secret.
Gone Girl
Gone Girl was released in 2014 and is based on a novel by the same name by Gillian Flynn. In this thriller, Amy and Nick Dunne seem to have the perfect life and a completely flawless marriage. This all takes a change for the worst when Amy, who is a public figure because of a series of children's books that were written with her as the central figure, goes missing. Nick becomes the prime suspect and the film follows as he tries to figure out where she went.
Crazy Rich Asians
Crazy Rich Asians is a romantic comedy that stars Constance Wu and Henry Golding as Rachel and Nick. The two of them are in a relationship and Rachel is more than happy to accompany Nick on a trip to Singapore for his best friend's wedding. What Nick forgot to tell Rachel is that his family is fairly famous back in Singapore. This means that once they arrive, their relationship puts Rachel in the spotlight in a way she had never expected.
A Star Is Born
A Star Is Born is a remake of a classic musical that stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper as Ally and Jackson. Ally is a struggling singer-songwriter who is hoping to finally get her big breakthrough into the music world when she meets Jackson, a famous musician who has been in that world for quite some time. The two of them fall in love and Ally's music finally takes off. Unfortunately, their personal lives make balancing love and the spotlight difficult.
Mother!
Mother! is a movie that stars Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem as a couple that lives in a rural home and has a fairly quiet, peaceful life. Unfortunately for the two of them, whose characters are referred to only as Mother and Him throughout the film, their quiet life is completely turned upside down when a stranger referred to as Man shows up at their house. As more and more people arrive at their home, their once secluded life becomes complicated.
The Notebook
The Notebook is a romantic movie that was released in 2004 and stars Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. In this movie, the two of them play Allie and Noah, a couple living in South Carolina in the 1940s who come from very different backgrounds. Despite their differences, the two of them fall in love shortly after meeting each other. Unfortunately, the circumstances of their lives pull them apart and they drift away from each other but struggle to stay away from one another for long.
Bohemian Rhapsody
Bohemian Rhapsody is a biographical film that details the life of former Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. In this film, Rami Malek plays the role of Freddie Mercury and the film starts way back before he was the iconic singer of the rock band. The movie follows the band's start all the way through their rise to fame and the struggles that Freddie went through when he was attempting to go solo. The film follows the band and Freddie's life through the 1980s when they performed at Live Aid.
Coraline
Coraline is an animated fantasy film that was released in 2009 and is based on the Neil Gaiman book by the same name. In this movie, Dakota Fanning voices a girl named Coraline who just moved to a new home with her super distracted parents. While exploring, Coraline finds a strange doorway that leads to another world where everything is basically the exact same except that her parents are more attentive and so much more fun. Unfortunately, things with her Other Parents aren't as they seem.
The Last Song
The Last Song is a teen drama that stars Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. In this movie, Miley Cyrus plays Ronnie, a teen girl from New York City who has a bit of an attitude problem and is not excited to be spending the summer at her estranged father's beach home. While there, she meets a local boy named Will and falls for him. The movie follows the summer as she grows closer to Will and rekindles her relationship with her dad.
Beauty and the Beast
Beauty and the Beast is a live-action remake of the classic Disney animated film. In this 2017 movie, Emma Watson plays the role of Belle, a woman living in a rural village in France who just doesn't fit in with everyone else in the town she lives in. When her father is taken by the mysterious owner of a large castle on the outskirts of town, Belle takes his place and agrees to stay in the castle instead. There, she learns the secrets of the castle and its sole inhabitant.
The Perfect Date
The Perfect Date is a Netflix original film that was released in 2019 on the streaming service. In this film, Noah Centineo plays the role of Brooks, a high school student who has a pretty unique idea for a smartphone app. In order to make some extra cash, Brooks creates an app that allows people to hire him as a fake date. Unfortunately, when Brooks starts to develop feelings for one of his clients, things get pretty complicated for him.
Black Swan
Black Swan is a suspenseful mystery that stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis as Nina and Lily, two dancers at the same ballet company. When the company announces they'll be putting on a production of Swan Lake, Nina is cast as the White Swan while Lily, who the artistic director says has a much more carefree and natural dance style, lands the role of the Black Swan. This causes a major rivalry between them and causes Nina to push herself to the limits.
The Shallows
The Shallows is a 2016 thriller that stars Blake Lively as a student named Nancy. Following the loss of her mother, Nancy decides that she needs to take a break from her everyday life and go to a beach to take some time away from her studies, her friends, and everyone else around her. Even though she knows surfing alone on the secluded island isn't the safest idea, she decides to head out onto the water. Unfortunately, being bitten by a shark leaves her stranded in the ocean alone.
27 Dresses
27 Dresses is a romantic comedy that was released in 2008 that stars Katherine Heigl as Jane, a woman who always puts the needs of her friends ahead of her own. Because of this, Jane has been a bridesmaid in 27 weddings so far and has a huge collection of outlandish bridesmaid dresses to show for it. When her sister announces her engagement to the man Jane is in love with, Jane has to decide whether putting everyone else first is really worth it.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a science fiction movie that stars Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet as Joel and Clementine, two people who were once in a relationship that unfortunately just didn't work out. One day, Joel learns that Clementine had taken some pretty drastic measures to forget their relationship and had a procedure done to erase Joel from her memories completely. Joel decides to go through with the same procedure to erase Clementine but has second thoughts at the last moment.
The Fault in Our Stars
The Fault in Our Stars is a movie that was released in 2014 and is based on the John Green novel of the same name. This movie is about a pair of teens named Augustus and Hazel Grace, played by Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley, who meet in a cancer support group for people their age. The two of them fall for each other and bond over a novel, leading them on an adventure across the globe to meet the author.
Get Out
Get Out is a thriller that was released in 2017 and was written and directed by Jordan Peele. In this movie, Chris and Rose have been dating a while and have decided it's time to take the next step in their relationship: meeting Rose's parents. The two of them travel to their remote home and Chris finds that her parents are surprisingly warm and welcoming of him. Unfortunately, the more time he spends there, the more he realizes things are not as they seem.
Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is a romantic comedy that was released in 2010 and has a huge cast of stars including Taylor Swift, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, and Anne Hathaway, among other big names in Hollywood. This movie is set on the most romantic holiday of the year and each character has their own story for how they're spending Valentine's Day. Even though these characters are separate, their stories intertwine in unexpected ways as the movie unfolds and tells the story of this holiday.
If I Stay
If I Stay is a suspenseful fantasy movie that was released in 2014 and is based on a novel by the same name. In this movie, Chloë Grace Moretz plays a cello player named Mia whose life is forever changed after she's in a car accident that leaves her hospitalized. The movie follows as Mia goes back through her memories with her family, friends, and boyfriend and tries to make the decision of whether or not she should hold onto her life or let go.
Instant Family
Instant Family is a comedic movie that was released in 2018 and stars Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne as Pete and Ellie Wagner, a couple that is constantly being asked by their friends and family when they're going to start a family of their own. The two of them toy with the idea of adopting a baby and eventually decide to become foster parents. When the two of them decide to become foster parents to a group of teen siblings, they realize they might be in over their heads.
The Shape of Water
The Shape of Water is a thriller that was released in 2017 and is set back in the 1960s. In this movie, a highly isolated woman named Elisa is working as a cleaning lady at a top-secret laboratory somewhere underneath the streets of Baltimore. When she discovers that the thing being kept in this secret laboratory is a mysterious creature that was brought to the lab to be studied, Elisa's life changes forever. She bonds with it and learns that its future may be in danger.
Easy A
Easy A is a romantic teen comedy that stars Emma Stone as Olive, a high school student that leads a pretty ordinary life. In order to try to make herself seem more interesting, Olive exaggerates a little when she tells her best friend about how her weekend went, a lie that spreads throughout the school and gives Olive quite a reputation. Instead of trying to disprove people, she decides to take control of her reputation and profit off of what people think of her.
La La Land
La La Land is a romantic movie that was released in 2016 and stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. In this movie, they play Sebastian and Mia, two people who live in Los Angeles and are trying to make their dreams come true in the city. Mia is an aspiring actress while Sebastian dreams of becoming a jazz musician. The two of them are drawn to one another because of their dreams of stardom but find that pursuing a relationship and a place in the spotlight can be difficult.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a comedic movie that stars Jason Segel as a musician named Peter. Despite trying to make it in the music world. Peter is better known for his relationship with a TV star named Sarah Marshall, played by Kristen Bell. After Sarah abruptly ends their relationship, Peter decides to go on a tropical vacation to forget about his problems and get Sarah off his mind. Unfortunately, Sarah and her new boyfriend are staying in the same hotel that Peter booked.
Bring It On
Bring It On is a comedic sports movie that was released in 2000 and stars Kirsten Dunst as Torrance, the newly appointed team captain of the Rancho Carne High School cheer squad. After one of the members of the squad finds herself injured, they're forced to seek out a replacement which comes in the form of a new girl that definitely isn't the cheerleading type. When the new girl informs Torrance that the routines she inherited were stolen, Torrance is forced to get creative.
The DUFF
The DUFF is a movie that was released in 2015 that stars Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell, and Bella Thorne and is based on a novel by the same name. In the movie, Mae Whitman plays Bianca, a high school student who is far less popular and stylish than her friends. One day, she learns that they're not her friends despite her being less cool than them but because she makes them look better. Bianca sets out to prove them wrong and reinvent her image.
A Cure for Wellness
A Cure for Wellness is a fantasy movie that was released in 2016 and stars Dane DeHaan as Lockhart, one of the employees of a financial firm that is undergoing some major changes and is in need of their CEO to approve some of the changes. Unfortunately, their CEO has been on a vacation at a mysterious spa in another country for quite some time. Lockhart is sent to the spa to bring him back but learns after he arrives that the spa is less relaxing than it seems.
A Simple Favor
A Simple Favor is a thriller that stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively as Stephanie and Emily, two women with very different lives. Stephanie is a vlogger that creates content with a focus on the fact that she's a mother and often features different crafts and recipes. Meanwhile, Emily is the PR director for a fashion brand and is highly focused on her professional life. Stephanie and Emily cross paths because their children attend the same school and they become friends until Emily mysteriously goes missing.
The Devil Wears Prada
The Devil Wears Prada is a comedic movie that was released in 2006 and stars Anne Hathaway as Andy, a recent college graduate who is trying to land a job in the world of journalism. Andy lands a job at a prestigious fashion magazine called Runway as the assistant to the editor. Despite getting this job, Andy has no actual interest in fashion and doesn't take the job seriously. The movie follows as she tries to balance her professional and personal lives.

In this movie, Jennifer Garner plays a teen girl named Jenna who is tired of how her life is going and dreams of finally being able to be grown up and call all the shots in her own life. On her 13th birthday, Jenna makes a wish that she could be 30 and living the life she dreams of. When she wakes up, her dream has come true but her life isn't what she had hoped.

Coco is a Pixar movie that was released in 2017. The movie follows a young boy named Miguel. After Miguel's great-great-grandmother, Imelda, fell in love with a musician who abandoned her and their daughter, Coco, in order to follow his musical dreams, Imelda banned music in the entire family. Despite this, Miguel dreams of becoming a musician like Ernesto de la Cruz, the famous musician he idolizes. After he discovers a picture that leads him to believe Ernesto was his great-great-grandfather, Miguel decides to follow his dreams.
What Happens in Vegas
What Happens in Vegas is a romantic comedy that stars Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz as Jack and Joy, two people who have nothing in common aside from the fact that they're both on vacation in Las Vegas. Jack is laid back and a little bit of a slacker while Joy is incredibly uptight and focused on her professional life. When the two of them get married after a night on the town and then win a huge jackpot, they're ordered to either make the marriage work or give up the cash.

Deadpool is an action film based on the comic book character by the same name. In this film, Ryan Reynolds plays the role of the title character whose real name is Wade Wilson. Wade was working as a mercenary after leaving his job as a Special Forces operative. After a scientist takes him and changes him forever, he becomes Deadpool, a highly sarcastic mutant with strange powers. He uses these powers to hunt down the scientist that turned him into the creature he is now.

Lights Out is a spooky film that was released in 2016 and is based on a short film that went viral around the Internet. In this movie, Teresa Palmer stars as a woman named Rebecca who grew up afraid of the dark because of the strange things she thought she saw after the lights were turned off. As an adult, she thought that this was over but when her brother starts having the same issues, she learns that perhaps it wasn't just her imagination at work.

The Boy is a spooky movie that stars Lauren Cohan as Greta, a woman that takes a job as a nanny in another country in order to get a change of scenery and a new job. Once she arrives at the remote home of her new employers, she learns that the child she's going to be nannying for isn't a child after all but instead, he's a life-size doll. When strange things begin to happen in the home, Greta wonders if they're related to this doll.
Love, Simon
Love, Simon is a movie that was released in 2018 that stars Nick Robinson as a high school student named Simon. Simon is in love with someone who goes to his school and luckily, they seem to feel the same way about him. Unfortunately, Simon has no idea who it is and they don't know who Simon is because the two of them met online and, aside from the school they go to, haven't revealed anything about their identities through their very personal emails to each other.

The Age of Adaline is a fantasy movie that was released in 2015 that stars Blake Lively as a woman named Adaline. After being in an accident, Adaline was left with a strange ability that causes her to never age, leaving her at the exact age she was when she was in the accident for the rest of her life. Because of this, she's spent decades avoiding getting too close to anyone so that they don't learn her secret. But when she falls for someone, this becomes harder than ever.

Truth or Dare is a spooky movie that stars Lucy Hale and Tyler Posey as Olivia and Lucas, two best friends who have decided to take a trip to Mexico with some of their other friends before they graduate from college and go their separate ways. While on their vacation, a stranger invites them to a secluded building to play a seemingly innocent game of truth or dare. Unfortunately, this classic party game turns dark after the friends notice strange things going on in their lives.

(500) Days of Summer is a romantic comedy that stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zoey Deschanel as Tom and Summer, coworkers at a greeting card company. The two of them meet and get to know each other which causes them to realize they have way more in common than they had initially thought. This movie goes through various points in their 500-day relationship from the beginning to the very end, showing the reasons that their relationship just didn't work out in the end.

The Grudge is a remake of a movie that was released in Japan two years prior to the release of this 2004 film. This movie features multiple different timelines that all weave together to tell the main story presented in the film. In the present day timeline of the movie, Sarah Michelle Gellar plays a care worker and exchange student living in Tokyo named Karen who is sent to work at a house with a dark energy living within it.
Clueless
Clueless is a teen romantic comedy that was released in 1995 that stars Alicia Silverstone as a spoiled and superficial high school student named Cher. When Cher decides to give a makeover to one of the less popular students at her school, she does a pretty good job. Tai, played by Brittany Murphy, ends up becoming even more popular than Cher after Cher is done with her makeover. This leads Cher to realize that she was wrong to be so superficial.
Isn't It Romantic
Isn't It Romantic is a romantic comedy that was released in 2019 that stars Rebel Wilson, Liam Hemsworth, Priyanka Chopra, and Adam DeVine. Rebel Wilson plays Natalie, a woman who works as an architect in New York City but whose life changes one day when she wakes up to find out that she's been transported to an alternate universe. There, she doesn't have the ordinary life that she's used to. Instead, her life is actually a romantic comedy come to life.
Mulan
Mulan is a Disney animated film that was released in 1998 and is based on an ancient myth from China about a legendary warrior. In this movie, Mulan's family receives a notice that every male in each family in their area is required to serve in the military, meaning Mulan's father would have to join. Because of her father's age, Mulan decides to step in and take his place and poses as a soldier ready for battle as she heads off to train.
Bridesmaids
Bridesmaids is a romantic comedy that was released in 2011. In this movie, Kristen Wiig plays the role of Annie, a woman whose life isn't exactly going all that well. Still, when she learns that her lifelong best friend is getting married, Annie forgets about her own troubles in order to help Lillian's wedding go off without a hitch. Unfortunately, Annie doesn't exactly get along with her other bridesmaids and finds herself struggling to get along with them well enough to help Lillian with her wedding.

It Follows is a thriller that was released in 2014 that stars Maika Monroe as a teen named Jay who has a pretty nice life. After a night out with her boyfriend, this life takes a turn for the worse after her boyfriend informs her that she will now be followed by a mysterious entity that will stop at nothing to get her unless she gives it to someone else. No one else can see this entity and it can take the shape of anyone around her.
50 First Dates
50 First Dates is a movie that was released in 2004 and stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore as Henry and Lucy, two people who live on the same island in Hawaii. When Henry meets Lucy, he falls for her and thinks she feels the same way about him but unfortunately, the next day, she has no idea who he is. Henry learns that Lucy was in an accident that caused her to stop retaining new memories and lives the same day over and over.
Sierra Burgess Is a Loser
Sierra Burgess Is a Loser is a Netflix original movie that was released in 2018. In this movie, Shannon Purser plays an unpopular high school student named Sierra who is the target of a popular but mean girl named Veronica's pranks. When Jamey, played by Noah Centineo, asks Veronica for her number, Veronica instead gives him Sierra's number as a joke. When Jamey texts the number thinking it's Veronica, Sierra doesn't correct him and the two of them grow close.
Pitch Perfect
Pitch Perfect is a musical comedy that was released in 2012 and stars Anna Kendrick as Beca, a college student who has a pretty ordinary life and seriously plans to keep it that way. Despite her wish not to join any cliques, clubs, or groups, Beca is convinced to audition for the Barden Bellas, her college's a capella group one day. Beca does so, although reluctantly, and ends up accepted into the group. After being accepted, she encourages the Bellas to make some changes in order to be more successful.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a superhero movie that is unlike many other superhero movies that have been released lately. While many of them focus on a single superhero or several of them coming together to fight against a villain, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a movie that focuses on several different versions of Spider-Man, including some like Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Spider-Ham, SP//dr, and Peter B. Parker. They all come together in order to battle a villain that threatens the universes they all come from.
