In today's quiz we are going to specifically be looking at snacks that best suit a movie night. We are talking candies, chocolates, chips, popcorn, pretty much all the best of the worst. Sounds delicious doesn't it?
In this quiz we are going to list 50 of the most munch-able snack options for a night full of movie binge watching. Everyone will get to choose "pick" or "pass" for each snack, and we are going to try and decipher everyone's sign by using the responses. Does anyone here think they watch enough films to know exactly which snacks are the best? If so, then here is the perfect opportunity to prove it! Let's settle once and for all; which snacks are the best for a movie night.
This quiz may cause hunger, as well as an uncontrollable desire to lick the screen. We would heavily suggest not licking any screens, but instead ensuring there are some tasty snacks near by while this quiz is being completed.
Skittles
Skittles have been a popular candy option since they were first released back in to 70's. Clever advertising has told us that a bag of these tastes just like a rainbow. Of course there is no way to test this theory, but hey, the commercials are pretty funny! How does everyone feel about these?
Pizza
Take-out pizza and a movie are a tale as old as time. On those nights when cooking is just not an option, pizza is always the way to go. However does a meal like pizza fully qualify as a snack? It really depends on who we are asking here. Who says yes to pizza movie night?
Nachos
Nachos are a snack for everyone. They are completely customizable, making them an excellent snack for who ever is planning movie night. However, we can't forget that nachos have a wicked crunch, and not to mention they can get pretty messy. Who here is diving into a plate of these during their next movie session?
Corn Nuts
We all know that popcorn reins supreme in the movie snack department, but what about Corn Nuts? They are essentially just popcorn kernels which have been deep-fried, instead of popped. A great snack for sure, but somehow often forgotten about when movie time rolls around. Pick or pass on this salty snack?
Swiss Rolls
Swiss Rolls are a chocolate snack cake, with a white cream filling. They come wrapped in pairs, making them an excellent snack for sharing. However, it would be super easy to get carried away and wind up eating a whole box of these. Are Swiss Rolls a go-to for anyone here?
Junior Mints
Junior Mints are small drops of chocolate with a mint cream center. Because of their size, Junior Mints are super easy to munch on. That being said, one does need to enjoy the whole chocolate/mint combo to get down with this snack option. Yay or nay for this movie snack?
Pez
We all know about the awesome dispensers these candies come with. Finding your favorite character in Pez form will always be very exciting. However, we must talk about the candies inside the dispensers for a moment. They are small, and come in a large variety of flavors. Is anyone here munching on these throughout a movie marathon?
Cheese Balls
Lets get a little cheesy here for a minute. Cheese Balls are most commonly sold in large tubs, meaning there would be not shortage during a movie marathon night. We do on the other hand need to consider the mess our hands would be after eating a tub of these though. Who here is down with the Cheese Ball option?
Hostess Fruit Pie
Everybody loves pie, right? These handheld pies come in all of the classic fruit flavors. They may not be found for sale at the cinemas themselves, but they can be easily found at just about any store selling snacks. Would anyone here consider these desserts a good movie snack, or not so much?
Swedish Fish
Swedish Fish are an easy candy to enjoy. They are soft in texture, meaning they wont be getting stuck in your teeth all night. They can also be bought in either the classic red flavor, or a variety flavor box. Are these a popular candy option for anyone here? Pick or pass on these little fish?
Nerds
There is no snack out there tinier than Nerds. Nerds are super small candies, and each box has about a million of them. They are sold in a crazy amount of flavors, and they are even a popular ice cream topping choice. However, a box of these can be very noisy. Are these really a snack we want during a movie?
Pretzels
Pretzels are a classic snack. They stand out on the chip shelf, because they offer us something a little different than a standard potato chip. They are however extremely salty. To eat a bag of these we would need a whole lot of water, meaning a lot of bathroom breaks. Pick or pass on this movie snack?
Sunflower Seeds
These salty little delights are usually sold in huge quantities, meaning a bag of these can last through a few movies. On the other hand however, this snack can get quite a bit messy (especially if we do not have a proper container for the shells). What does everyone think?
Raisinets
Raisinets can be found at just about any cinema these days. They have been a fan favorite for some time now, but some people out there still argue that these should not be considered a snack food. These people tend to think raisins are fruit, and therefore should not be a go-to junk food for movie watching. What about everyone here?
Twizzlers
Twizzlers are the perfect option for anyone who loves licorice. They are not exactly licorice, but they are as close as anyone is going to get at a cinema concession stand. They have tough texture, and a unique cherry flavor. Does anyone here see themselves picking some up before the movie?
Red Vines
To talk Twizzlers, we must also talk Red Vines. Both of these candies come with some pretty loyal fans, but we will let you guys be the judge here. Red Vines are similar to licorice like Twizzlers are, but they are much softer in texture. They are also a strawberry flavor, instead of the Twizzlers cherry flavor.
Mike & Ike
Mike & Ike are tiny candies, that pack a punch of fruit flavor. The real mystery behind these guys is their name. Over the years people have made guesses about its origin, but the company has always refused to confirm what the name actually means. Who is picking up a box of these?
Nutter Butter
Nutter Butters are a cookie that peanut butter fans dream about. They consist of two crumbly peanut butter flavored cookies, sandwiching a light peanut butter filling. Clearly these are not peanut allergy friendly, but for those who do not care... are we picking up a box of these before the movie starts?
Tostitos
Tostitos are the most popular corn chip on the market. While they can be enjoyed on their own, the thing that makes Tostitos such a fun snack are the dipping options. No matter what are preference in salsa is, the question remains: Are Tostitos a good choice for a movie night?
Slim Jim
Slim Jims are no doubt the most protein heavy snack on this list. They are individually packed dried sausage, or pepperoni sticks. These guys date back all the way to the 20s, and they have remained fairly popular ever since then. They are now sold in 21 different flavors. Pick or pas on these?
Mozzarella Sticks
So, if we are to count pizza as a viable movie snack, these should be an easy option to get down with as well, right? Mozzarella Sticks are super munch-able, and since they are just deep-fried cheese they clearly count as a junk food. What about for a movie though? Do we pick some up?
Whoppers
Whoppers are a fairly unique chocolate option. They are definitely the only ones offering the whole malted milk thing. They are also light weight, so they can be munched on throughout the night, but they also pack quite a crunch. Are Whoppers a movie worthy snack, or not so much?
Runts
Have you ever seen a more colorful candy? Runts are tiny fruit shaped candies, and each one tastes like the fruit it represents. They are definitely a hard candy, meaning they may crunch when bitten into. The real trick with these however, is not breaking your teeth! Pick or pass on these?
Sun Chips
As far as chips go, Sun Chips are a fairly unique option. They fact that their go-to flavor is not original, but instead Harvest Cheddar already makes them stand out. They are also completely different in taste compared to an average potato chip. However, we can't forget about how noisy a Sun Chip bag is.
Milky Way
Do we have any nougat fans in the house tonight? This candy bar comes chalk full of chocolate flavored nougat, which has been coated in not only caramel, but milk chocolate as well. This bar is lightweight in comparison to some of it's competitors. Who here is stopping in for one of these?
Jelly Belly Jelly Beans
Any fan of these candies know that they are so very different from any other jelly bean on the market. Jelly Belly Jelly Beans are the gourmet option of the candy universe. They may bit a bit pricier, but they have just about a million different flavors to choose from. Pick or pass on these?
Zebra Cakes
Zebra Cakes are a great snack cake option for anyone who is not overly crazy about chocolate. They are a white cake, with a fluffy cream center. They are coated in a white icing, and they are striped with just a touch of fudge icing. Does a box of these sound like a good plan for the evening?
Baby Ruth
Much like the Milky Way bar we already discussed, the Baby Ruth comes packed with some chocolate flavored nougat. It also has the caramel filling in common with the Milky Way bar, but Baby Ruth also decided to toss in some peanuts, making this a super filling candy bar option. Pick or pass on one of these?
3 Musketeers
The creators of this nougat filled chocolate bar knew they were going to have to do something to make their candy stand out. So, they decided to whip their nougat before putting it into the candy bar. This technique makes the bar super light weight, and easy to eat. Who here loves these guys?
Animal Crackers
Okay, so these are not the most traditional movie snack out there, but someone needs to stick up for these little guys! They are called crackers, but they taste a lot closer to a cookie. They also come in adorable animal shapes, and are sold in a circus box. Yay or nay on these as a movie snack?
Sour Patch Kids
Lets get one thing straight before we get into this one... No, Sour Patch Kids are NOT made with real kids. They are instead just super sour little candies, in the shape of little alien children. To enjoy a bag of these one really needs to be into the whole sour thing, they are definitely not for the faint of heart.
Bugles
Bugle are an interesting little corn chip. They are in the shape on tiny hollow cones, so they do not look like anything else on the shelf. Their shape also makes them optimal for placing them on your fingers, and making tiny finger hats with them. Sounds silly? Try to resist the finger hats next time you see some of these!
Kettle Chips
The debate over regular chips VS Kettle Chips is a never ending one. The reason Kettle Chips are actually so different in texture and taste, is because of the oil used to fry them. People tend to assume that since they are higher in price, they are also a better option for you. That is not exactly the case, but they certainly aren't any worse than the other chips!
Reese's Pieces
These are not to be mistaken with the super popular Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The Pieces are a snack all on their own. Instead of having any chocolate involved, these are instead just candy coated Peanut Butter bites. These are a super munch-able option, and can be found at most cinemas.
Butterfinger
While others may also be doing the whole peanut butter thing, these guys have done it differently. Instead of a soft peanut butter filling, these guys have put a crunchy peanut brittle like filling into their chocolate bars. It seems to be working for them too, since they are ranked one of the most popular chocolate bars on the market.
Ruffles
Now lets talk potato chips. Ruffles have done their own thing by adding the texture to their chips. This unique take on the potato chip actually makes them perfect if we plan on dipping them. They can however be equally enjoyed on their own without any dip. Pick or pass on these?
Fritos
Fritos are a unique little corn chip option. They are bite sized corn chips, but they taste different from the other options on the market. This is mainly due to the process in which they are made. The only thing to remember about choosing these guys, is that they are wicked salty.
Twinkies
Twinkies have been kicking it for quite some time now. They were originally invented in the year 1930, and they have been a popular snack cake ever since then. They are a lightweight white cake, which has been filled with a white cream filling. Are these ideal for a movie night, or not so much?
Chex Mix
Chex Mix is so often forgot about when planning a movie night, but it seems to be a go-to snack for almost every other occasion. We are going to give fans of this snack a chance to stand up for it. Since there are so many components to Chex Mix it makes sense as a movie snack. Does anyone here think differently?
Starbursts
Starbursts are one of the most popular candy options on the shelves right now. People just love these guys. However, when we are thinking about watching a movie we need to also think about what we are going to do with all of those pesky wrappers. Pick or pass on a bag of these for the next movie night?
Snickers
Snickers are a candy bar for the most hungry of chocolate lovers. They have based their whole advertisement on the fact that these bars are super filling. They have caramel, nougat, peanuts, and milk chocolate. Is anyone here feeling hungry enough for a Snickers bar, or should we pick up something else?
Twix
We wont find any nougat or peanuts in a Twix bar, but what we will find is a cookie. Twix is the only bar on the market offering up a cookie base inside of it. The cookie is also topped with caramel, and then the whole thing is coated in milk chocolate. Best part? Each bar technically comes with two!
M&M's
M&M's are a classic chocolate option. There is not much to them, so most people can enjoy a handful of these. They are drops of Hersey milk chocolate, which has been candy coated. The best part about these guys? They melt in your mouth, and not in your hand! Pick or pass on these?
Cheetos Puffs
Much like the Cheese Balls we already talked about, these guys are lightweight cheesy delights. They have a mild crunch, so that really shouldn't be much of a problem. However, we must not forget about the whole cheesy hand issue that comes along with these. Pick or pass on a bag of Cheetos Puffs?
Pringles
Pringles are packaged in long tubes instead of in bags, so they are already standing out from the rest while on the shelves. They are a thin chip, so there is not too much crunch behind them. However, one does need to have a small hand to reach the bottom of those tubes.
Oreos
Oreos are one of the worlds most popular cookies. Everyone has a different method behind eating them, but regardless of how we go after them, the delicious taste stays the same. For those who enjoy them with a glass of milk however, may find these a tough one for a movie night.
Doritos
Doritos are going to be our final chip question of the day. They are a corn chip which has been covered in an abundance of cheesy coating. They can be purchased in a bunch of different flavors, but each on is leaving your fingers a different color than how they started.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Here we have the number one most sold chocolate bar. These Peanut Butter Cups have been all the rage for years now. However, at most we are getting two or three of these in a pack, so there is a good chance that we would be finished them by the time the previews have ended...
Kit Kat
Instead of heavy ingredients like nougat, caramel, and peanuts, Kit Kat went a lighter route. Inside each of these bars you will find layers of delicious wafer. These are definitely a lightweight chocolate option, and lets face it, breaking off a piece of one of these is super satisfying.
Popcorn
Let's end this quiz on the right foot. Popcorn is no doubt the most popular movie snack out there, but for anyone who finds this option over rated now is your chance to say so! Is there anyone here who just isn't really into to popcorn? Or is everyone down for a bag of this snack?
