Sometimes the festivities can get to be just a little bit much though! When we want to relax by ourselves and catch up on some holiday movies- with or without a big plate of Christmas cookies to munch on.

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is the undisputed holy grail of Christmas movies. The two main characters are just friends throughout high school, despite the fact that one- Chris Brander played by Ryan Reynolds- has a secret crush on Jamie Palamino- played by Amy Smart. Holiday hilarity ensues!
Jingle All The Way
Jingle All The Way is another one of those Christmas movies where the main character is taught the true meaning of Christmas through a series of hilarious events. In this movie, Howard Langston is on a mission to score the most popular toy on Christmas Eve-- and learn a big lesson on the way!
How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Elf
“Elf” is probably one of Will Ferrell’s best movies ever. When Buddy the elf tries to find his real father in the bustling city of Manhattan, he is able to show some of the more jaded residents the meaning of Christmas. Who loves this holiday classic? Pick or pass below.

This is the one Christmas movie that generally plays for 24-hours from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. We’ve all grown up loving it, even though it’s set decades before any of us were actually born. Who didn’t identify with little Ralphie? Pick or pass on this epic Christmas movie below.
A Charlie Brown Christmas

In this romantic comedy, Kate is able to re-live Christmas Eve twelve times in order to try to improve her love life and get the holiday romance that she’s dreaming of. It’s cute, clever and a little bit cheesy but we can’t help but love it! Pick or pass on this one.
The Santa Clause
In this movie, a man accidentally becomes Santa Claus through a twist of fate that he thinks is a dream at first- until it becomes evident that he is not dreaming in any way! It’s a cute and hilarious movie that really brings out the best of the Christmas spirit in all of us.
The Best Man Holiday
“The Best Man Holiday” is the story of a group of college friends who get together 15 years after graduation to celebrate the holidays. Unsurprisingly, there is a lot of tension, passion and rivalry between the group- even though many years have passed! Pick or pass on this funny film.
