Though Country is generally considered to be a very masculine genre of music, much like Rock N’ Roll or Rap, there are a number of female singers that are just as successful as their male counterparts. In fact, some like Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton have arguably achieved greater fame in the mainstream overall compared to the men despite exceptions such as Billy Ray Cyrus. Then you have some cases like Taylor Swift, who started in the Country Music genre but then gradually moved over to other genres such as Pop, making their success in the mainstream more personal rather than genre-oriented. Of course, one could say that for just about every Country Music star out there.
Not only is each one judged for their talents as a singer and songwriter, but also for their looks. While some may have started out as attractive in their earlier years and gradually lost it as they grew older, others have managed to retain their attractiveness despite aging. And that’s what we’re here to judge: the best-looking female Country Music stars from the past few decades that are either up-and-coming or veterans in the business who are still relevant. Alison Krauss
Following a solo album in 1987, she joined the band Alison Krauss and Union Station whom she has performed with since. She’s released 14 albums and is partially responsible for renewing interest in Bluegrass music in the United States with soundtracks such as O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Carrie Underwood
Winner of the 2005 season of American Idol, this woman has achieved several accomplishments and awards including: seven Grammys, 16 Billboard Music ones, and 11 Academy of Country Music ones. She was even inducted to the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2009.
Cassadee Pope
Following an indefinite hiatus in 2011, this lead vocalist for the Rock band Hey Monday went on a solo career a year later and participated on The Voice as a contestant, becoming its first female winner. Then she released a Country album which got high in the Billboard 200.
Chely Wright
Over the course of her music career, this woman has released a total of eight albums from different record labels and written over 15 singles that have all charted. She was also named the Top New Female Vocalist in 1995.
Danielle Bradbery
In 2013, this Texan singer became the youngest first place winner on The Voice followed by a debut album that same year which was named after herself. This was then followed by a second album four years later titled I Don't Believe We've Met.
Danielle Peck
In 2005, this music artist signed with an independent record label called Big Machine Records. After releasing a self-titled debut album, which included several singles that reached the Top 30, she also released a fourth single followed by a delayed second album.
Deana Carter
Making her breakthrough in 1996, her first album got certified in multi-platinum five times after five million copies were sold. From then on, she’s had 14 singles with three of them reaching No. 1 in the Billboard Country charts.
Faith Hill
Though she has done some occasional acting on television and in movies, this popular Country singer has sold over 40 million record copies across the world. In fact, her first two albums hit number one three times on the Billboard Country Music charts.
Gretchen Wilson
After making her debut in 2004 with the single “Redneck Woman,” which won a Grammy and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart, she has since made 13 singles that have charted as well with five of them reaching the Top 10.
Heidi Newfield
From 1996 to 2006, she was a member of the Country group Trick Pony as the lead singer but she also played rhythm guitar and harmonica for them. Since then, she’s pursued a solo career with Curb Records since 2008.
Hillary Scott
Being the co-lead singer of Lady Antebellum, a Country Music group that got started in 2006, she also did an album with her family called Love Remains in 2016 which reached the Top 10 in chart sales in the United States.
Jana Kramer
Known for her role on the television series One Tree Hill, this young actress also became a Country Music artist following the release of her debut album in 2012 which was produced by Elektra Records. She also competed in Dancing with the Stars and won fourth place.
Jennifer Nettles
Though she’s been part of several bands including one named after herself, the most famous one she was with was Sugarland which included Kristian Bush. She also did several famous duets including a Country cover version of a Bon Jovi song.
Jessie James Decker
Following a series of rejections by record labels at 15 years old, Jessica “Jessie” Rose James Decker got help from Carla Wallace, an executive at Big Yellow Dog Music, which led to a deal with Mercury Records and her debut album that was released in 2009.
Jo Dee Messina
Being the first female artist to have three songs that have hit No. 1 from the same album, and remained for several weeks, she’s also got two platinum and three certified gold albums as well. She was even nominated for two Grammys.
Julianne Hough
While she is primarily known for being a Dancing with the Stars champion dancer, she’s also an actress and singer. For instance, she appeared in the Footloose remake made in 2011 and released a studio album in 2008 named after her.
Kacey Musgraves
After releasing three albums by herself, she appeared on the show Nashville Star in 2007 and won seventh place. She then signed up with Mercury Nashville in 2012 and released two successful albums with them followed by a Christmas-themed one.
Karen Fairchild
She’s a member of the four-person Country Music group Little Big Town, which began in 1998 though their first debut album didn’t come till 2002. They’ve also gone through several record companies, including: Mercury Nashville, Monument, Equity, and Capitol Nashville.
Kellie Pickler
After taking sixth place on the fifth season of American Idol, she released her debut album Small Town Girl the same year after signing for 19 Recordings and BNA Records. The RIAA then made it certified gold and 900,000 copies of the album itself have sold worldwide.
Kimberly Perry
Along with her brothers Reid and Neil, Kimberly is a member of their self-formed music group called the Band Perry. In 2009, they signed up with Republic Nashville and released their debut album a year later which included a song that reached No. 1.
Laura Bell Bundy
Apart from her roles in famous Broadway shows such as Hairspray and Legally Blonde, she also signed up with Mercury Records Nashville in 2010 and released two County Music singles. She’s also known for a television role on the show Anger Management.
LeAnn Rimes
When she was 13 years old, this woman released a cover version of “Blue” by Bill Mack making her one of the youngest Country Stars to become famous. This was followed by her debut album, also titled Blue, in 1996 which hit No. 1 in the Top Country Albums chart.
Lila McCann
At 16 years old, she released a hit single and debut album which got certified platinum in the United States in 1997. She also starred in an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger in 1998 and followed up with two more albums.
Lucy Hale
Debuting on the reality TV show American Juniors, she was one of five winners though her main claim to fame has been starring in Pretty Little Liars. Yet she didn’t let her singing talent go to waste and signed up with Hollywood Records to produce a debut album in 2014.
Martina McBride
Originally known as Martina Mariea Schiff, she got signed to RCA Nashville as early as 1991. When she started off, her style of music was in the Neotraditionalist Country genre (also called New Traditional Country). Then overtime, her music became more Pop-oriented.
Mickie James
While she’s prominently known for being a professional female wrestler, she also released two Country Music albums with one being self-released and the other being partially funded through a Kickstarter campaign. She was even inducted to the Native American Music Awards Hall of Fame.
Miranda Lambert
While finishing third place on Nashville Star in 2003, she also signed with Epic Records the same year. Her debut album, which was released two years later, got certified platinum and included four hit singles that reached the Top 40 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs list.
Natalie Maines
After replacing the lead singer of the Alternative Country group known as the Dixie Chicks, she led the band into stardom with 10 Country Music Association Awards and 13 Grammys between 1997 and 2007. Then she released a solo album in 2013.
Patty Loveless
Since she made her debut in 1986, she’s become one of the most prominent female artists in the Neotraditionalist Country movement. Also, many of her songs have made it onto the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart including five that have hit No. 1.
RaeLynn
She competed in The Voice during its second season in 2012, but lost in the quarterfinals. Yet despite this, she signed with Republic Nashville and then later Warner Bros. Nashville writing singles with other artists and producing singles that have appeared on the Billboard.
Reba McEntire
Having gotten her start by singing in high school, she caught the attention of Red Steagall when she sang the National Anthem at a major rodeo in Oklahoma City. With his help she signed onto Mercury Records in 1975, and released several albums through them.

Signed to RCA Records Nashville for the majority of her career thus far, this woman has made several albums: one of which became certified gold by the RIAA, while three of them got the platinum certification that had No. 1 hit singles.

Originally from Canada, this singer and songwriter has sold over 75 million albums and been given the honorary title “Queen of Country Pop” after she gained popularity in the mid-90s with songs like “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”.
Tanya Tucker
At the age of 13, this woman made her debut in 1972 and her songs reached the Top 10 and 40 Hits over the course of several decades. In that time, she’s also had many successful albums and Country Music Association Award nominations.
Taylor Swift
While she’s more widely recognized as a Pop Music star now, let’s not forget that she started off as a Country star first. When she was 14, for instance, she signed up with Big Machine Records and released a debut album with the third single on it hitting No. 1.
