One could argue that the world is divided into two types of people: normal people and celebrities. When most of us think of celebrities we imagine a life full of glamour. And by glamour we mean plenty of money and countless of famous friends not to mention tons of enamored fans. Of course, that is not necessarily always true and even if it is, it is worth remembering that celebrities have their own problems and issues, whether personal or professional.

Furthermore, just because one is a celebrity, that does not necessarily mean that one is going to stay on top of the game forever. Indeed, only too often celebrities make it big and then slip into obscurity a year or two later.

Think of all the 90's hunks that we were all once in love with. Sure, some of them are still around to this day and some are as famous as ever. However, at least half of them - if not more - have slipped into obscurity, or at the very least, relative obscurity. Indeed, they might be still be active in their industry - whether it is the acting industry or the music industry - to this day but that does not mean that anyone really remembers them.

Below we have as many as 50 hunks from the 90's. Some are still popular, some not so much. Pick or pass on all and we'll reveal everyone's sign!

Question 1

Leonardo DiCaprio?

Leonardo DiCaprio was a real teenage heartthrob back in the 90’s and he hasn’t aged badly either. Indeed, he is still as handsome as ever. DiCaprio began acting in the late 80’s. He gained recognition in the early 90’s when he appeared in movies such as the 1993 drama film What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, the 1995 coming-of-age drama The Basketball Diaries and the 1996 romantic crime movie Romeo + Juliet. Of course, it was the 1997 epic romance movie Titanic (IMDb) that turned DiCaprio into one of Hollywood's most famous A-listers.

Jared Leto?

Jared Leto is a man of many talents. He is not only an actor but also a singer and a songwriter. Leto first rose to fame for his role of Jordan Catalano in the TV series My So-Called Life. Later he also appeared in movies such as the 1997 biographical film Prefontaine, the 1998 epic war film The Thin Red Line and the 1999 drama film Fight Club. Around the same time that his acting was taking off, Leto also decided to form a rock band with his brother Shannon. The ridiculously handsome actor David Boreanaz is best known for his TV work. He first rose to fame in the late 90’s when he landed the role of Angel – a vampire who has become a private investigator – in the exceptionally popular supernatural drama TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (on air between 1997 and 2003). He later reprized this role in the show’s spin-off Angel (which first aired in 1999 and which ended in 2004). Later he went on to portray an FBI agent Seeley Booth in the comedy drama series Bones and Jason Hayes in the military drama TV show SEAL Team.

Joey Lawrence was once a teenage heartthrob but he has since slipped into obscurity. As 90’s kids will probably have no difficulty in recalling, Lawrence gained acclaim for his role of Joey Russo in the TV series Blossom (on air between 1990 and 1995). Lawrence is not just an actor however, but also a singer. Indeed, in 1993 he released his debut album titled Joey Lawrence. Lawrence hasn’t been up to much as of late although last year, in 2017, he did form a band named Still 3 (IMDb).

Point Break, Speed, The Devil’s Advocate, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, My Little Buddha, Much Ado About Nothing and My Own Private Idaho are just some of the films that the talented actor Keanu Reeves has appeared in during the 90’s. Some may also associate Reeves with the Bill & Ted comedy movie series, in which he portrayed Ted Logan, as well as the popular The Matrix film series, in which he played the role of the computer programmer and hacker Neo (IMDb).

Like so many other Hollywood A-listers, Brad Pitt also rose to prominence in the early 90’s. He first gained recognition for playing the role of a thief named J.D. in the iconic 1991 road film Thelma & Louise. Nick Carter was only 13 years old when he became a member of the popular boy band the Backstreet Boys. However, over the years Carter has also released three solo albums. Well, in 1997 Damon appeared in the drama movie Good Will Hunting. But Damon didn’t just star in this movie – he also co-wrote it (alongside his colleague and friend Ben Affleck)! Damon and Affleck both won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for the screenplay whereas Damon was also nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of the titular character, Will Hunting (IMDb).

Rhythm Divine, Bailamos, Be With You, Sad Eyes, and Could I Have This Kiss Forever (IMDb) are some of the famous English songs that Enrique Iglesias released in the 90’s. Indeed, it was only in the late 90’s that he successfully crossed over into the English language music market. Iglesias is still as popular today as he was back in the 90’s.

Unlike most 90’s heartthrobs, Tom Cruise did not slip into obscurity. Indeed, nowadays he is as famous as ever. Cruise began acting in the early 80’s and gained recognition for his role of Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in a popular action drama film that came out in 1986. That same decade he appeared in The Color of Money and Cocktail. In the 90’s he went on to star in films such as A Few Good Men, Interview with the Vampire, Mission: Impossible, Eyes Wide Shut and Jerry Maguire (IMDB). As some may recall, it was in the early 90’s that Cruise married his second wife, Nicole Kidman.

Not all actors who make it big in Hollywood manage to hold onto their fame. Take Devon Sawa for example. Sawa was incredibly popular in the 90’s. Indeed, he was one of the most loved and admired teenage heartthrobs of the decade. He starred in films such as the 1994 sports comedy film Little Giants, the 1995 computer animated fantasy film Casper, the 1995 coming-of-age film Now and Then, the 1997 adventure comedy movie Wild America and the 1999 thriller Idle Hands (in which he starred alongside Jessica Alba). Then Sawa felt burnt out and as such decided to take a break from acting (Hello Giggles). Unfortunately, when he decided to come back, no one really noticed it, or cared.

Remember the boy band NSYNC which was formed in 1995? Justin Timberlake was one of the band’s two lead singers (alongside JC Chasez). The band became famous in 1998, three years after it was founded and a year after the release of its self-titled debut studio album, ‘N Sync, which included the hit single Tearin’ Up My Heart. But Timberlake was not happy to just stick to singing. Indeed, in 1999 he went on to star in Disney Channel’s film Model Behavior (IMDb). As Timberlake ‘s popularity rose, his band’s popularity declined.

Nowadays Johnny Depp is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. He has been active in the acting industry ever since the mid 80’s. Funnily enough, Depp has to thank two teenage girls for his rise to stardom. The actor Matt LeBlanc gained popularity after he landed the role of the dim-witted but kind-hearted womanizer Joey Tribbiani in the iconic TV series Friends. Mark Wahlberg is a talented man. Indeed, he is not only a songwriter and a rapper but also an actor and a producer. Most of us first noticed Wahlberg not because of any special talents but because of the fact that he is the brother of Donnie Wahlberg, who was a member of the famous band New Kids on the Block. Wahlberg was a member of the band too, but he quit it only a few months after joining it. He then became the leader of the hip hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch which ceased existing in 1993.
