The Marvel Cinematic Universe has now been going for a long time now. Ten years ago this year, the first Iron Man was released in theaters. Back then, it was being touted as a comeback for rehabilitated drug addict Robert Downey, Jr., but little did we know then, it was so much more than that. It was the cornerstone of a new age in cinema – the shared universe. Movie franchises and blockbusters were revolutionized forever as they were all suddenly trying to connect and intertwine with one another. Studios weren’t just making movies anymore – they were building up new worlds for movies. Characters and storylines would cross over from movie to movie, like a big budget serialized TV show that you watch in a movie theater. And it’s only taken them ten years, but the people at Marvel are finally putting together an MCU movie led by a female superhero: Captain Marvel. It’ll star Brie Larson as the character, who is essentially the Superman of the Marvel universe – infinitely powerful and awesome. But there have been some great women in the MCU prior to that. Just because they haven’t led the movie, it doesn’t mean they haven’t held their own and stolen some scenes. Anyway, without further ado, pick the hottest out of these badass chicks from the MCU and we’ll give you a superpower!
Black Widow or Scarlet Witch?
Natasha Romanoff is one of the most badass characters in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. She can fight anyone and take them down in seconds. But Scarlet Witch has magic powers, so there’s that going for her. Who’s your favorite?
Valkyrie or Sif?
In her portrayal of Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, the great Tessa Thompson was inspired by Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor in the Terminator movies, and if you’re looking for action heroine inspiration, then look no further. Do you prefer her or another Asgardian badass, Sif?
Pepper Potts or Jane Foster?
Pepper Potts has appeared in the MCU more than most of the other women on this quiz, bar perhaps Black Widow or Scarlet Witch. She’s the apple of Tony Stark’s eye and gets top billing even if she’s only in the movie for a second. Who’s your favorite: her or Jane Foster?

Peggy Carter or Gamora?
Not old Peggy Carter, who was like eighty-five and lying on her deathbed when we last saw her alive. This is prime of her life, World War II era Peggy Carter we’re talking about. But Gamora’s a badass! And she’s Zoe Saldana under that green makeup. So, who do you prefer?
Christine Everhart or Lorraine?
Christine Everhart is a reporter for Vanity Fair, and if the events of Iron Man are anything to go by, she’s a bit of a wild one. Natalie Dormer from Game of Thrones played Lorraine in Captain America: The First Avenger; she’s a private who tries to seduce Cap back in his World War II days. Who’s your favorite?
Betty Ross or Mantis?
There were many new characters introduced to the world of the Guardians in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but none of them were quite as adorable or as instantly likable as Mantis. But Betty Ross is as iconic as Lois Lane or Gwen Stacy. Who’s your favorite?
Hope van Dyne or Maya Hansen?
The main villain in Iron Man 3 was supposed to be a woman, but Marvel wouldn’t allow it, because apparently they don’t think female toys would sell. So, instead, we got Guy Pearce and the female role went to Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen. Do you prefer her or the new Wasp, Hope van Dyne?
Hela or Darcy Lewis?
One of the main criticisms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that its villains aren’t good enough. There’s no Darth Vader. There’s no Joker. But Thor: Ragnarok seemed to rectify that with Cate Blanchett’s Hela. Do you prefer her or Kat Dennings’ Darcy Lewis?

Brandt is a war veteran who lost an arm and is injected with the Extremis virus, which in turns leads her to a career as an assassin. Do you prefer her or Star-Lord’s mother from back on Earth, who was impregnated by Ego?
Jessica Jones or Madame B.?
Jessica Jones is one of the coolest characters in the MCU, regardless of gender. She has super strength and she’s a heck of a private eye – and an alcoholic. Madame B. is one of the people who trained and brainwashed Natasha Romanoff back in the day. Who do you prefer?
Tina Minoru or The Wasp?
The representation of minority groups in the MCU isn’t great, but there were plenty of Asian actors and characters and settings in Doctor Strange, and Tina Minoru is one of them. Who do you prefer: her or the original Wasp?
Connie or Michelle Jones?
Connie was Bucky’s date at the World Expo in Captain America: The First Avenger, and it’s far to say that the Winter Soldier has some damn fine taste in women. Michelle Jones, on the other hand, or “MJ,” is a potential love interest for Spider-Man. Who’s your favorite?
Elektra or Frigga?
Elektra is a badass ninja warrior trained by Stick who fights with (and then against) Matt Murdoch, better known as Daredevil. Frigga is the mother of Thor and wife of Odin, played by Rene Russo, the romantic lead of Tin Cup. Who’s your favorite?
Christine Palmer or Maria Stark?
Christine Palmer is played by Rachel McAdams in the movie Doctor Strange and she first appeared in the Marvel comic book series Night Nurse, which was created by Stan Lee and a bunch of others. Do you prefer her or Maria Stark?
Janet van Dyne or Okoye?
Michelle Pfeiffer is comic book fan royalty, since she played Catwoman in Tim Burton’s grim and gloomy Batman Returns. She’ll be returning to the superhero scene soon with the role of Janet van Dyne in Ant-Man and the Wasp. So, do you prefer her or Black Panther’s Okoye?
Topaz or Nakia?
