The movies that were produced back in the day are some of the greatest films ever made. Some of the comedies such as Forrest Gump, Clueless, and The Big Lebowski were made with the intent to have depth and meaning to coincide with the comedy. Then there are the more serious films like Goodfellas, Heat, The Matrix, The Shawshank Redemption, Schindler's List, and Fight Club that always provided moments of deep thought. All of these films were amazingly fantastic and really stay relevant to this day. Calling these films classic seems to be directed more towards how great the flick was rather than how old it is.
These great films also provided us with seeing actors like Robert De Niro, Tom Sizemore, Brad Pitt, Julianne Moore, Julia Roberts, and Morgan Freeman in their younger years and in memorable roles. The character of Edward Scissorhands played by Johnny Depp was so amazing in such a different way but it really captured our hearts. Also, seeing Edward Norton playing the narrator of himself in the film Fight Club was absolutely astonishing when he realizes what is really happening.
