The first ever movie was created in the late 1800's, and ever since that day, there have been actors who have become immortalized on the big screen. When the industry started actors from plays and vaudeville burst onto the scene. They were multitalented entertains who could usually play instruments, sing, act, performer acrobatics and even juggle. As the industry grew the number of actors increased and fans started to see specialized actors who focused on the different facets of the industry. Full-time comedians, dramatic actors, and action stars started to arise. Some actors where huge flashes in the pan that dominated screens for a few years, and were nearly forgotten after that, while others have become legends. Their movies are still shown and enjoyed today.
Movies have changed a lot in the last 130 years. Attention spans have shortened, and films have sped up their storytelling to match suit. Genres have come and gone, and in some cases come back again.
