Only True TwiHards Will Ace This Vampire Quiz

Arguably the most popular monster in fiction, the vampire has been a staple of literature since the 1919 publication of The Vampyre by John Polidori. However, Bram Stoker's 1987 Gothic horror classic Dracula is mostly remembered as the definitive vampire story and the one that influenced generations of storytellers to come.

Since that time, vampires have been pretty much ever-present in literature, comic books, film, television and video games. We've been treated to many different versions of the beasts that feed on the blood of human beings in order to survive; from the craven, inhuman monsters that prey upon defenceless and terrified victims, to the idea of vampirism as more of a virus and the vampires themselves as parasites, to the notion of beautiful, externally youthful vampires that romance humans all while trying to suppress their bloodlust.

The attractive young vampire is perhaps best defined in the modern day by Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Saga, a series of novels and then films that conquered the world. This quiz will feature plenty of questions relating to that franchise, but will also cover vampires from all across the last 20-30 years of bloodsuckers on television and the big screen.

So, if you think you know Angel from Angelus, or have ever wondered what Tru Blood tastes like, or have stayed up at night thinking which Salvatore brother you would've chosen if you were Elena, this quiz could well be for you!

What name is given to vampires like the Cullens and Denali's who only drink animal blood?

In The Twilight Saga, there are two main clans of vampires who refuse to feed on human blood: the Cullen's and the Denali's. This is very uncommon amongst vampires, because animal blood is significantly less appetitizing than human blood and most vampires would see it as denying their true nature. However, it does enable these vampires to live peacefully among humans with little or no detection. Vampires who live like this have golden eyes instead of red ones, and Edward likens the lifestyle to a human living only on tofu!

However, when he became a vampire, he quickly became known for his savagery and was dubbed 'Angelus' aka The Demon With An Angel's Face. Even The Master appreciated how purely evil Angelus was in his day.
