Regular, run-of-the-block comic book nerds can pick out all of the Marvel superheroes. And if they're real fans, then chances are they can pinpoint not only their superhero name, but also their actual, regular-person name. For instance, most anyone who's watched Marvel movies in their lifetime can say that Ant-Man has become a pretty prominent (albeit tiny) member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's superhero team. But not as many people would be able to pinpoint his actual name. It's not really what you'd call common knowledge, like Peter Parker's name or Tony Stark's. (For the record, Ant-Man's real name is Scott Lang.) So, if only a small percentage of fans can name the central heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even fewer can name all of the secondary characters that populate Marvel's many superhero films. From the sidekicks to the love interests to the villains, fans might remember what role the following characters played in their respective movies, but chances are they won't be able to pinpoint their actual names. You've gotta love a good old revenge story. It seems like a lot of Tony Stark's nemeses are after a bit of vengeance. From the perspective of fans, it's kind of hard to imagine how someone could hate our beloved Iron Man, but at the same time, we could see how Tony's sharp words might bite. When you're on his good side, being a friend of Tony Stark's is a pretty fine thing. But we can imagine getting abandoned on a building roof by Tony would inspire a host of different feelings. This character is a Master of the Mystic Arts, alongside Doctor Strange. Fans of Doctor Strange probably remember him as the librarian at Kamar-Taj. Although Doctor Strange might've been able to sneak around him to get his hands on some of the complex's many ancient texts, this guy is normally not one to be messed with. He helped Tony Stark and Spider-Man take on Ebony Maw during Avengers: Infinity War, and we're guessing we'll be seeing him in the sequel. Who is this character?

Any nerd who's any nerd should know who this character is. He wasn't just in The Avengers. He's been in a whole host of Marvel films and he even has his own TV series, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fans might remember him most prominently as the man who managed to unite the Avengers for the first time in their battle against Loki. It wasn't anything he said, but the fact that he perished fighting for a cause he believed in that struck at the heartstrings of our nascent heroes. It's lovely to see both of our boys from Sherlock ponying up and making a name for themselves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And Tolkien's universe. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are basically just the two Kings of nerdacity at this point. We all love a good villain. It's pretty weird, though, when the villain ends up being the father of the main character. Normally, the kin of the heroes are... well, good. Or at least not evil. But in this case, Peter Quill's father ended up being one of the most evil characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only did he have countless children as an experiment to try to pass on his Celestial powers, but he proceeded to end their lives if they didn't inherit his abilities. We'll give you a hint. He's not exactly well-known for getting along with people. In fact, his entire existence is based upon trying to destroy others as revenge. This lady was kind of the bomb. Not only did she kick some serious butt in the various battles fought during Black Panther, but she was also the only one who saw the solution to Wakanda's problems from the very beginning. Where Killmonger believed Wakanda needed to create an empire out of itself, T'Challa wanted the opposite, thinking Wakanda was only going to survive if it completely isolated itself from the world. Only this character saw the potential of starting outreach programs and gradually introducing Wakanda to the wider world from the very start. This character was kind of the best sidekick ever. Usually, one would picture someone in a super-suit as the sidekick of a Marvel superhero, but instead of helping in Spider-Man's battles, this character helped out on the tech side. He was the guy-in-the-chair, helping Peter to find out where he was going and what he should be doing from the safety of a computer lab. Plus, he built a pretty mean Lego Evil Star. Tony Stark tends to keep to himself, despite being an egomaniacal playboy. Sure, he crashes his fair share of parties, but in his day-to-day life, more hours are spent in his lab tinkering with mechanics than in social settings. Who is this character from Thor: Ragnarok?
This guy was easily the breakout star of Thor: Ragnarok. The guy was made out of crumbling rock, had a voice like a chihuahua on helium and dreamed of starting revolutions on a planet made of trash. Does it get any better than that? Although we didn't get to see him in Avengers: Infinity War, we're really hoping he somehow managed to survive Thanos's destruction of Asgard's ships. Because if all we get from this guy is one movie, we'd be pretty darn disappointed. What's his name?
Who is this character from Black Panther?
This guy started out as a staunch ally of T'Challa's. But when T'Challa failed to avenge this character's parents, the tables turned. When Killmonger came to Wakanda offering alternative solutions, this character jumped right on board, turning on T'Challa and participating in a civil war that claimed the lives of many Wakandans. We didn't see him in Avengers: Infinity War, so it's hard to say where he's at now. Maybe he's in a prison. Or maybe he's dust. So, what's his name?

This woman was one of the coolest characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date (at least in our humble opinions). She was a warrior of Asgard, and when she experienced unimaginable trauma on the battlefield, she fled her home and sought solace on a trash planet, making a living hunting down potential gladiators. Turning to booze, she began to wile her life away, even though she was the last of an ancient order of Asgardians. In most superhero movies of the past, it was a burly dude who played the main warrior. But in Black Panther, the country's strongest warrior was this amazing woman. She led the group of warriors that defended the king, and on more than one occasion, she kicked some serious butt, whether she was tossing spears off of cars or throwing a bothersome wig in someone's face. Although we didn't see too much of this character in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, she is likely to play a big role in how things unfold on the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Set on revenge against the Guardians of the Galaxy, at the end of the movie, it seemed as if she had created some new life form in order to exact her vengeance.
