The first episode of Game of Thrones (2011- ) aired on April 17th 2011 and from that moment on it has been a great success. From the very first scene we see, Game of Thrones captures our attention. We love the scenery, we love the characters and we definitely love the mind games and the strategies that each plot provides.
It's been 8 years, and we still haven't found out who will be the winner of the Iron Throne. Still waiting for the last season, and for those last episodes that will give us the answers that we are asking for.
Will Cersei Lannister remain on the Iron Throne, or will Daenerys Targaryen get what she's been fighting for all these years. Or perhaps there will be a third option that we haven't really thought about.
Every House in Game of Thrones has its dominant traits that we love (or not!). House Lannister is known for its bravery, cunning, blonde hair, and their money. Loved by none, but respected by everyone else, the Lannisters are one of the dominant Houses in the game of thrones.

Aerys Targaryen, (David Rintoul) also known as the mad king, was the king of Westeros before Robert Baratheon's rebellion took place, which led to his removal from the throne only to be replaced by Robert. During Aerys' reign, a Lannister served as hand of the king for many years. He brought prosperity to the house and rose to the second most powerful position in the seven kingdoms, practically ruling behind the scenes, as Aerys started to lose his mind from the whispers he used to hear continuously. He made some harsh or unfair decisions, which led to the unhappiness of several houses and made a lot of enemies, which finally led to this momentous event. What are the names of Cersei Lannister's children?
Cersei, (Lena Headey) daughter of Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) and queen of the seven kingdoms, was the wife of king Robert Baratheon for many years. She gave birth to three children, two boys and a girl. Robert was supposed to be the father of these children, but there have been many doubts about this, since Cersei had a special (and very questionable) relationship with her twin brother Jaime. During the first season of Game of Thrones, we spend a lot of time in the North part of Westeros, namely Winterfell. During the first season, Robb Stark (Richard Madden) marches from Winterfell to the South side of Westeros after hearing that his father, Lord Eddard Stark, has been captured. While he is winning battles, he isn't sure that he is going to win the war he has declared between the North and the South. We meet this character in season 1 of Game of Thrones. Unlike the rest of his family (if not all, then most of them!) he is not so sure of himself. He seems to be a bit insecure and doesn't have that Lannister arrogance that we are so used to seeing on screen. He is close to King Robert due to his position and he is seen with Queen Cersei at times. He disappears for a little while and when we meet him again he is part of a religious group that follows the beliefs of the Faith of the Seven. Who is Lancel's father?
Lancel Lannister (Eugene Simon) is a character that in the beginning of the show is unnoticed. He has the hair of the lion, but not the heart. For this reason, his family doesn't seem to be very fond of him (at least most of them). As the plot of the show unravels, Lancel changes. He finds something to believe in, but that something is still far too away from the Lannister way of life. His father doesn't approve of that choice and he tries very hard to change Lancel's mind. Tywin Lannister is the Lord of Casterly Rock. He took the lordship from his father and he will pass it on to his sons. Well that might not be true, but Tywin is not sure of his future moves. One of the things that we know about Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) is that he is very well-known about his enthusiasm for women. Many support her claim to the throne (either characters of the show or fans) because they don't see Robert's actions to be justified. One of the episodes of the 5th season of Game of Thrones begins with two kids running in the woods. Although we don't understand it from the very beginning, this scene is a flashback. One of the Lannister children visits a witch. There the witch has one of the fingers cut a bit in order to taste the child's blood. Right there and then, the witch foretells the child's future and it doesn't look so bright. Some of the things the witch says have already come to pass. Being a game at its core, Game of Thrones shows us that alliances change, and one's closest friends can be one's biggest enemies. The Lannisters are not liked very much throughout the seven kingdoms of Westeros, but they have a lot of many and their name carries such power that they inspire a sense of fear and as a result others sort of tolerate them. The greatest example of this is King Robert himself, who cannot get away from the Lannisters because firstly he married one and secondly he owes Tywin a lot of money. In season 2, we have one of the first great battles throughout the Game of Thrones. Where is Lannisport located in Westeros?
The Lannisport (as its name gives away!) is part of the lands that are owned by House Lannister. In fact, Lannisport is a city that is somewhat close to Casterly Rock (the basis of House Lannister). The legal owner of the land is Cersei Lannister, but as Queen of Westeros she doesn't stay there because she has to remain by her husband's side in King's Landing.
