Only Sitcom Junkies Will Ace This 'Who Did It' Quiz?

As humans, we enjoy making others laugh, and when we know something is funny, we wish to share it. So, we borrow the language of the characters we admire in hopes to see our friend smile. At their core, sitcoms are about friendship and family. One of the top sitcoms of all time is simply called Friends. The genre—always tongue-in-cheek—explores the lengths we go to make others happy.

Sitcoms have been bringing the sound of laughter to homes for decades. The sitcom, by nature of its name, is a situational comedy. However, the art of the sitcom is much more than that. Rather than focusing on plot development, sitcoms focus on a core group of cast members. Catchphrases and one-liners are essential to creating a likeable character that will grab the cultures attention. Many of these lines have been integrated into the slang of today. Each member of the group has their own part to play and unique traits that make them stand out. Many people fall in love with or identify closely with at least one of the characters. While it’s easy to remember who a character is, only true fans have a keen mind for remembering who said what.

This causes Jackie to put an end to the fighting and explains that she’s been getting back at them for how they treat her. During season 4 of Friends, someone is explain how exactly they flirt. They explain that all they have to do is walk up and ask, “How you doin’?” This became the iconic line associated with the character.
