Pocket Monsters or more commonly known as Pokémon, came to the United States in the late 90’s introduced as two games that were playable on the Game Boy. The games Pokémon Red and Blue were published by Nintendo and developed by Game Freak. Pokémon in Japan sold 10.23 million copies and the US sold 9.85 million copies setting records for games sold on the Game Boy. Now, Pokémon is now a multibillion dollar franchise that has too many games to count along with training cards, movies, and numerous television series.

Pokémon games are Role-playing games where travel the Pokémon world gathering all types of Pokémon, defeating gym leader and facing the Elite Four to become the League Champion. The original games only had 150 Pokémon (151 if you had a game shark), now the total of Pokémon is up to 802 and growing. Pokémon is constantly developing new ways to sustain fans interest while being innovative with their new games.
