Ron Burgundy is played by Will Ferrell in this movie series. The first movie was released in 2004, and he is the title character. Ron is a famous anchorman on KVWN channel 4, set in 1973. He works with all of his friends whom he has known since he was a child. A beautiful blonde woman joined the team, named Veronica Corningstone, who was played by Christina Applegate. He is not intimidated by her, but then she starts to overshadow him on the air. He wants to keep all of his popularity, and get her off of the television network completely.
