The Twilight franchise was huge and still is huge even though the latest movie was released a few years ago. Many people consider it the start of the “vampire culture” that has seen to take over books, movies and television shows. The Twilight books and movies tell the story of a young girl named Bella Swan who moves to a new town to live with her father. She has a bit of a hard time adjusting to her new life as she is not used to such a small town. She meets a mysterious boy named Edward Cullen who is unlike anyone else that she has ever met.
She doesn’t realize how different he really is at first but eventually he welcomes her into his world and she finds all her beliefs tested. He is a vampire, as well as his whole family, but she never judges or shies away from it. Instead she feels like she belongs with them and becomes immersed in their world. She feels like she finally found her place in the world and will do anything to protect her new family. Along the way they acquire some pretty powerful enemies but together they are all stronger then ever.
How many Cullens are there when Twilight starts?
The Cullen Coven is a but different then most coven’s because they try to incorporate themselves into their community as much as possible and live pretty normal lives. The “father” of the coven works and the children attend high school just like everyone else their age. They have a running joke as to how many high school graduations that have been in. Nonetheless they stand out among the rest because they are perfect from the outside and completely composed on the inside.
Who was turned first?
The Cullen Clan has been around for a pretty long time. However there was one vampire who started it all. From there this vampire turned others one by one in order to save them from their death beds. They thought that they were doing them a favor by saving their lives but some of them were not as grateful as expected. Nonetheless they all made it work and ended up with a life they never dreamed they would be able to have.
Who is an expert on newborn vampires?
Newborn vampires are a little bit different then older vampires. Newborn vampire still have traces of their own human blood flowing through their veins, this makes them stronger then most other vampires. However they don’t really know how to fight like older vampires as they are unaware of their abilities, this gives other vampires like the Cullen’s a bit of an advantage over them. When a newborn army is making its way to their small town the Cullen’s must train in order to survive.
Which Cullen can see the future?
A few of the Cullen’s have special abilities. These abilities surfaced soon after they were turned and sets them apart from others of their kind. It is basically random as to who will gain a special ability. One of the Cullen’s is able to see the future of those that they love. Once Edward starts dating Bella then they are able to see her future as well. This ability proves helpful when enemies are planning attacks on the Cullen clan.
Which Cullen can read minds?
A few members of the Cullen clan are blessed with special gifts or abilities once they are turned into vampires. They obviously don't have these powers when they are human so it is kind of a gamble as to who will get what. One of the members of the Cullen family are able to read the minds of those around them with just a glance. However when they first meet Bella they are unable to read her mind which angers them at first.
Who turns Bella?
Bella was dying to become a vampire from the moment that she met Edward and found out what he was. She never looked back but Edward was pretty hesitant about turning his love into a vampire. Eventually Bella was able to convince him to turn her but he had a couple of stipulations. However things did not go exactly how they had planned. Either way she was turned into a vampire and shocked everyone after her transformation, even Carlisle who was seen a lot!
What do the Cullens not do that humans do?
The Cullen’s are a vampire family however in many ways they are just like everyday families. The kids go to school, the parents go to work and at the end of the day they all end up under the same roof. Although they are not his biological children Carlisle looks out for them like they are and the consider them as such. The Cullens are however a bit different then normal families, obviously so they don't do everything that humans do.

Carlisle wanted to help people from the moment that he was born. Although he was turned into a vampire he had a very kind soul that pushed him to become a doctor. He changed the lives of many but when he saw some people that were dying but he thought should get a second chance he turned them into vampires. This is how his family was created and for the most part how each of them came to be vampires.

Carlisle has a very kind soul that makes him want to help people in any way that he can. He is always trying to make the world a better place even if his basic human nature is urging him not to. He ends up falling into a profession where he can make a difference a help people while also keeping his cover so that no one finds out what he really is. The Cullens try to do their best to keep their cover as a normal family and even try to live as normal lives as possible when no one is looking. They may not be biologically related but they are a family and love spending time with one another. They don’t really spend much time with anyone outside of their family as they are not able to truly be themselves. In the first movie Edward tries to ease Bella into him and his family’s lifestyle.
Who leaves the family in the last movie?
In the last movie the Volturi is coming for the Cullens and plan to show no mercy. Alice sees when they will be there in a vision so the Cullen family has at least a little bit of time to prepare and assemble a group to defend themselves. Two of the members of the Cullen clan decide to leave before the Volturi get there. They don’t say goodbye to their family or explain why they will be going their own way.
Who loves to plan parties?
The Cullens are vampires. There is no getting around it or avoiding it, however they are also normal people who have likes and dislikes just like everyone else. One of the Cullen family members loves to plan parties and jumps at every opportunity that they can in order to plan an event. Although Bella is not big on parties and being the center of attention she tries to play along in hopes of making a good impression on Edward’s family.
Why does Rosalie dislike Bella?
Rosalie is not one to hide her emotions and will openly make it known when she doesn't like someone. She never really liked Bella and made it known from the start how she felt about her brother’s new girlfriend. Eventually Bella sits down with her and they have a bit if a heart to heart. Bella is finally able to get to the root of Rosalie’s dislike for her and they become a bit closer after the fact and even get along.
What do Rosalie & Bella bond over?
Rosalie and Bella have a bit of a rough relationship from the moment that they first meet. Rosalie basically ignores Bella’s existence and when she does acknowledge her existence it is generally negative. Eventually Bella can’t take it anymore and confronts her as to why she has such negative feelings towards Bella. They move past things and even find something to bond over. They end uo being pretty close and Rosalie is someone that Bella turns to when she needs help.
What happens to the Cullens when they go in the sun?
There are many myths about vampires and what happens when they go into the sun. Some myths say that vampires burn when they get in the sun but the creator of Twilight decided to take a whole new take on vampire myths. One of the first things that Edward showed Bella was what happens to him when he goes in the sun. It is basically how he proves to her that he is not the same as her. What happens when they go in the sun?
Which Cullen saves Bella from the van?
In the first movie Bella is struck with a ton of bad luck, according to her she has had such luck basically her entire life. In the first movie she is standing in the school parking lot on a winter day when a fellow classmate loses control of his van. Bella has her headphones in and doesn't hear the impending danger but one of the Cullens sees what is about to happen and intervenes before anyone gets hurt or even worse.
Who takes Bella when James is hunting her?
When the Cullens find out that James and his mate Victoria are after Bella they quickly set a plan in motion. They know that staying together is not the best option as they should try to confuse the other vampires and throw them off of Bella’s trail. Who spent time with the Volturi?
The Volturi are the oldest and most powerful vampires in existence. They basically hold power over all of the other vampires and are the ones who enforce the “laws”. One of the members of the Cullen Clan spent time with the Volturi in the past and can even been seen in one of their paintings. Although they stayed there for quite some time they were not very happy and didn’t really like to talk about it very much unless asked.
Who comes to see if Bella is alive in New Moon?
Bella goes through a very rough and emotional time in New Moon, the second installment in the Twilight franchise. Edward leaves her high and dry, she doesn’t really know where to go from there and falls into a very deep depression. She ends up doing some crazy things in a desperate attempt to hallucinate Edward. She becomes a bit of an adrenaline junkie who even goes as far as jumping off of a cliff and into a freezing body of water.
Why does Edward want to provoke the Volturi in New Moon?
Edward is a smart guy, he knows what to do and what not to do. When he leaves Bella in New Moon he tries his best to move on. Bella has a very hard time and falls into a similar depression. However Alice goes to Bella to tell her that Edward plans to show himself to the humans in the sunlight. This is one of the worst things that vampires can do and will for sure provoke the Volturi to take action.
Why is the Volturi coming for the Cullens in the last movie?
The Volturi plays a large role in almost all of the movies because once they set their sites on the Cullen Clan they seem to develop an obsession with them. Aro is dying to get Edward and Alice on his side because they will prove to be helpful in his desire to rule over everyone. In the last movie, Alice’s vision shows them that the Volturi is planning on coming for her family and it is not a friendly visit.
Why does Victoria assemble an army to destroy the Cullens?
Victoria was first introduced in the first movie but didn’t have a very big story line until the third movie, Eclipse. Victoria laid low for a while and created an army of newbie vampires. Newborn vampires are very strong and she knew this, Victoria was aware that she would need all of their strength in order to take on the Cullen clan once and for all. She had some help from another vampire that she turned that also happened to be in love with her.
Who warned the Cullens about James?
When the Cullens first came face to face with James and his friends they had a feeling that they would be trouble. James took an immediate liking and interest in Bella, despite the Cullens trying to keep the peace. When the Cullens left the field and returned home they were unsure what they should do but then they got a knock on the door that made the decision for them. This person told them that James was tracking them in order to find Bella.
Which Cullen doesn’t survive the fight with the Volturi?
In the last movie the Volturi is making their way to Forks with a very specific plan in mind. They want to punish the Cullens for the crime that they were accused of. This is what their “cover” is however Aro has his own agenda. He plans on starting a war with the Cullens in order to convince Alice and Edward to join him. Edward and Bella have a grand wedding, a wedding that many can only dream of. Although Bella never really thought of herself as someone who wanted a white dress and picket fence she found herself more and more drawn to the allure of it. She didn’t really have to do any of the planning herself and instead had some help from her new family. One person in particular planned most of the wedding, down to the smallest details and parts.

The Cullens’ physical features are basically perfect. They stand out anywhere that they go and although no one really knows what they are it is easy to see that they stand out. One thing that typically sets vampires apart from humans is the color of their eyes. The Cullens’ eyes are discussed a couple of times in the movies and Edward’s eyes are one of the first things that Bella notices when she sees him at school for the first time.
What sets the Cullens apart from other vampires?
The Cullens are vampires but they try their beat to live like a normal human family. Of course this is not completely possible and they often find themselves involved in some vampire business, especially once Edward starts dating Bella who seems to be a magnet for trouble. The Cullens are not like most other vampires and typically keep to themselves as a result. Despite this they all have a few friends who are vampires who come to their aide when the Volturi is coming for them.

Renesmee comes from a gifted mother and father so it is no surprise that she has a gift of her very own. When she is born she is half vampire and half human. Therefore she grows and develops a whole lot quicker then other children and by the time she is just a few days old she acts like a six month old. Her whole family is shocked at what she is able to do and her ability helps others ro understand her.

The Cullen family live their lives different then most vampires. They don’t want to hurt any innocent humans so they chose to feed on animals instead. Most other vampires chose to feed on humans because it is their nature. This is the main reason why the Cullens chose to keep to themselves. However, there is one other coven that lives the same way as them and they have known for a pretty long time. They even refer to them as their “cousins”.
What does Carlisle & Esme get Bella for her birthday?
Carlisle and Esme are warm and welcoming people. They are thrilled when Edward finds someone that he wants to spend the rest of eternity with has he has basically been alone forever. They accept Bella with open arms and are excited to celebrate her birthday in the second movie. Of course things don’t go exactly as planned at her little birthday party but they do give her a pretty nice gift that comes in handy in the third movie, Eclipse.
Who does Alice tell Bella to contact before she leaves in Breaking Dawn?
In the final film the Volturi is coming for the Cullens. Alice is able to see when they will arrive in a vision so the Cullens have a bit of time to prepare. Alice leaves the family in the middle of the night and no explanation as to where she was going. She did however leave a note for Bella hidden in a book. She left a name for her to contact in order to set up an escape plan for Renesmee.
What instrument does Edward play?
Edward has been around for a pretty long time. Since vampires don’t sleep he has had a lot of free time on his hands and developed a couple of ways to pass the time. One thing that Edward enjoys is music. When Bella goes over his house for the very first time his extensive music collection is one of the first things that she notices in his room. Edward shocks her when he shows her that he is more then just a music spectator.
Why are the Cullens shocked at Bella after she is turned?
The Cullens have all been vampires for a pretty long time and seen a decent amount. When Bella wants to be turned some of them, like Rosalie, don't really understand why she wants to give up her human life. However, she goes through with it once she gives birth to her daughter. Carlisle tries a fee different things to ease her pain through the transformation but when she wakes up after a few days everyone is shocked at Bella. Why?
Why does Edward dislike Jacob?
Edward and Jacob have a very rocky relationship from the beginning. Jacob and Bella become close when Edward and his family leave Forks. Jacob helps Bella somewhat move on from that part of her life but once Edward returns they pick up where they left off. Bella tries to continue her friendship with Jacob but finds it increasingly difficult as the two boys are not able to get along. Eventually they are able to work together to protect Bella from a threat.
Why do the Cullens leave Forks in New Moon?
The Cullens seem to be pretty content with their life in Forks. Carlisle has a job at the local hospital, there is almost no sun most days and all of the Cullen “children” regularly attend school. However in the second movie, New Moon, they all pack up and leave town basically overnight. Edward says a quick goodbye to Bella in the woods and leaves her there heartbroken and confused about what went wrong. Why did they leave town in such a hurry?
Which Cullen siblings pose as twins?
The Cullens have to get a bit creative when they are creating their cover story. It is clear that some of them are dating so it wouldn’t make any sense to say they are all biologically related. Instead they claim to be the adopt children of Carlisle and Esme Cullen. Two of them claim to be twins who came to the Cullen family together. Even though they are referred to as Cullens, they actually use a different last name in school.
Who does Bella arm wrestle with after she turns?
For a long time Bella was the weak link to the Cullen family as she was human. However, once she is turned she is the most powerful vampire in the house for a bit thanks to her own human blood lingering in her tissues. One of her new family members don’t believe that she is the strongest and challenges her to an arm wrestling match to prove that they are in fact stronger then her. Things don’t go exactly how they planned.
Which newborn vampire almost joins the Cullen family?
The Cullen family are pretty understanding people who only resort to violence when they are being threatened or attacked. When Victoria creates an entire newborn army to destroy the coven they prepare for battle and are ready when they come. When they attack they have the Cullens in strength but the coven has the help of the wolves so they are able to take them pretty easily. There is one newborn who doesn’t try to fight and is very scared.
Why don’t they actually join the family?
Carlisle and Esme take mercy on this little newborn as she was basically created to be a distraction and didn’t chose any of this. She doesn’t try to fight and they decide to let her live. They are willing to allow her to join their coven so that they can show her a new way to live. They want to teach her how to be like them, that she can be a vampire and not have to actually hurt anyone.
Who does Aro attack first in the last movie?
Aro has his own agenda when him and the rest of his court descend upon the Cullen coven in Breaking Dawn: Part 2. He sees this accusation against them as an excuse to finally rip them apart and have the ones he wants. He plans on attacking even when he sees that they have not created an immortal child. Alice sees this in a vision and warns him about what will happen if he starts such a war with her family.
Why do Alice & Jasper leave their family in the last movie?
Alice and Jasper may not have been with the Cullens as long as some of their siblings but they remain loyal to them. Carlisle offered them a home and family when they felt like they had nothing in the world. Alice is the one who warns her family of impending threats. Once the Volturi decides to come for them she sees it but before they can make any decisions her and Jasper leave without even a goodbye. Why did they leave their family?

He pretends to have her mother which forces Bella to leave the safety of the Cullen’s and follow him. Once she gets there she realizes that he tricked her and he attacks. Luckily the Cullen’s are able to figure out where he has her and race there.

James bites Bella before Edward is able to save her. Luckily, the Cullens are able to get there before the venom fully spreads through her body. Carlisle does his best to help her injured leg but someone must suck the venom out of the bite mark from James. There is a very small time frame where this can be done and if they wait too long then she will be turned into a vampire for good, something that Edward didn’t want.

Bella falls in love with her baby from the moment that she feels her move inside of her. She defends the baby against anyone who believes she shouldn’t have her because it is destroying her from the inside out. Nonetheless, she goes through with the pregnancy and it progresses way faster then most pregnancies. She has a very hard pregnancy as the baby is half vampire and craves blood all of the time. Who does Bella name her daughter after?
Bella is almost certain that she is having a little boy, she just has a feeling from the moment that she finds out she is pregnant. However there is no way to know for sure because regular sonograms and such are not working on her. So she has a name picked out for both and has to wait to find out. She ends up having a little girl who she falls immediately in love with even though childbirth almost kills her.

Jasper has had a bit of a different life then the others. He was not made into a vampire by Carlisle, like many of his other family members. Instead he was turned into a vampire by someone who was intent on creating a newborn army. The Cullens have been around for a pretty long time. When Bella meets them they all seem to be content with their lived and have their bloodlust under control. Robert Pattinson is an English actor, model and musician who got his start when he landed a role in Harry Potter. In Twilight he played a member of the Cullen clan who was very conflicted about who he was and tried to get through each day as it came.
