Though we don't get to see very much of this dog, he was originally a Rottweiler living in Bobby's junkyard when we first meet him at the end of Season 1. This crafty little demon has gone through a lot in his time in the series. One of the biggest things he pulled off was becoming the King of Hell and ruling over all of the demons. This isn't an easy position for him to fill and we are constantly seeing him dealing with other smaller demons trying to undermine his authority and throne. Between this and either meddling with or helping the Winchester's means that he has a lot on his plate.

In a cruel twist of fate for Crowley, it is revealed that his mother who should have been dead a long time ago is actually alive and kicking and a new competitor for his throne. She is a natural born witch and we often see her dealing with drama from other witches in the Coven, something she has been kicked out of and spends time trying to get back into. They've tried to kill her more than once now and she just keeps coming back.

Though he now goes simply by "Crowley", he actually had a past life in Scotland before his death in 1723 in which he changed into a demon after having sold his soul "for a few extra inches below the belt" according to him. He was able to advance and even become a crossroads demon, meaning he got to make the same deals like he took so many years ago. Bobby is the first one to dig up Crowley's past, literally, when they go and find his grave and bones.

Being brothers, there's always going to be a little brother/big brother dynamic, no matter how old they get. Though this age difference likely meant more when they were children more so than adults with a bit of time between them. They both get a turn at playing big brother though when it comes to Adam, that is, if he wasn't long dead when they "met" him. John had this son with another woman while the boys were growing up and they never got the chance to meet him until it was too late.

They spend a great deal of time hunting him known only by the thing that makes him different and mysterious from the other demons they come across with their classic black eyes. Who ended Kevin Tran?
Kevin Tran is another one of the characters who gets whisked into this life without seeking it out for himself. Being a Prophet of the Lord, he ends up being sought by everyone from angels to demons to the Winchester brothers themselves. He ended up becoming great friends with them which is likely what ended up sealing his fate as people who become close to the Winchester's don't usually last very long. Do you remember who was responsible for his death?
Who is the demon who got Sam onto demon blood?
After giving Sam his first taste of demon blood as a baby, the demons needed to continue to feed it to him to charge up his powers and prepare him as a vessel for Lucifer. It wasn't an easy task, but getting him to befriend and trust a demon was a step in the right direction and this particular demon is guilty of getting him hooked on the stuff. Though the detox ended up being nasty, the blood did help enhance his psychic powers.
