Only A True The Office Fan Can Finish These Quotes!

Even though the show ended in 2013, our love for The Office is still going strong. So strong, in fact, that one could compare our affection for it to a fine wine that has only grown more potent over time. Indeed, one might even venture to go further than that by saying that our adoration of this mockumentary has gone beyond the realm of simple fan-hood and has waltzed into the unchartered territory of unreasonable obsession-ville. But, hey, what can we say? There's just so much to love about The Office!

Not a day goes by when the nonsensical ramblings of Michael Scott don't come to us with words of non-wisdom. Not one awkward situation passes when we're not reminded of the straight up "what in the world?" stylings of Dwight K. Schrute. And not one instance of work-related boredom strikes without the every man-esque observances of Jim Halpert. The show is so relatable, it's not even just a show to us anymore, it's a comfort. It's become a part of our very soul, and that's why we binge-watch it every chance we get. We're so consumed with love for this show, we can recite lines of dialogue verbatim. Anyone else out there know full-length quotes from The Office? Find out now!

Question 1

Where are the _____?!

In "Dunder Mifflin Infinity", after receiving a promotion from corporate, Ryan returns with big plans to bring more technology into the office. Initially this excites Michael, especially the prospect of getting a new cellphone, but Creed convinces Michael that Ryan's plan is a lie, and that his real intention is to fire older employees. Worried, Michael decides to prove that when it comes to selling paper products, hospitality and friendliness are a better approach than technology, and he does this by giving customers gift baskets. Sadly, his plan backfires when he realizes the gift baskets are missing this delicious treat.

Question 2

There's too many people on this earth. ________

It's Phyllis's wedding day, and she's invited all of her friends from the office to come and watch her officially tie the knot to Bob Vance, of Vance Refrigeration. Naturally, Michael is eager to play a big role in the ceremony, seeing himself as "the father of the bride", and he gives a humorous speech in which he confuses the definition of the word "wedding" with the word "welding". All of the office workers make the characteristic one-liners that we've come to know and love, including this one, a comment made by Dwight Schrute.

Question 3

Just _____ until the cops leave.

By this point in the series (episode eight of season five), Michael has made his position on HR rep, Toby Flenderson, pretty clear. In other words, Michael can't freaking stand him. So, it's no surprise to find Michael in a bad mood at the prospect of Toby returning to the office. But instead of letting it go, he conspires to get Toby fired. How? By framing him for a crime, of course. The cops are called at some point, and the office criminal, Creed, voices his concerns about it.

Question 4

I am ____, always.

In the episode featuring this quote, Michael discovers his girlfriend, Donna, is actually married. The whole office is in on what's going on, too, but they soon realize that Michael hasn't ended the relationship when his attitude remains chipper as ever—and, what's more, he has refused to cut any ties. Andy, having been in a similar situation with Angela and Dwight, persuades Michael to confront Donna's husband, and he compares himself to this singer and star of a movie in the process. Michael, however, quickly begs to differ.

Question 5

Oh, it is on, like a _____ who yawns at dawn.

We wouldn't say Andy's the office clown, but he's the person in the office who comes closest to fitting the bill. He's got anger issues simmering just beneath his needy surface, and even though he tries to be funny, he doesn't enjoy being anyone else's punchline—which, ironically, makes him a great target for many of Jim's pranks. One thing Andy's good at (or thinks he's good at) is a cappella. Because he's so lyrically minded, he's always coming up with catchy rhymes, including this one, said in the episode "Casual Friday".

Question 6

I've heard _____ a hundred and five times. Still don't know the words.

With Andy at the helm, Dunder Mifflin's not doing so good. Robert California urges him to put a stop to the shenanigans and get everything under control, a task Andy doesn't want to tackle and so hands over to Dwight. Dwight devises a plan to snoop out people in the office making mistakes, and things go as awry as one might expect. Anyway, by this time, Andy's been manager for 105 days, which, Pam says, means she's heard this song a 105 times, yet she still doesn't know the lyrics to it.

Question 7

If you ______, you can change yourself into a cat person.

The office is back from summer vacation, even though technically the people who work there were never off for summer vacation because they're adults, and they don't get a months-long break like little kids do. Anyway, in the season 9 premiere, we see what the characters we've come to love were up to during the show's hiatus (for example, Kevin failed to save a turtle). We're introduced to a few newcomers to the office, and, also during this episode, Angela offers up some helpful advice to non-cat lovers.

Question 8

Who _______? What kind of game is that?

Kelly Kapoor knows a lot of stuff about a lot of things. She can tell you who's who when it comes to celebrities. She knows which actors and actresses are dating and which ones just broke up, plus, she's the go-to guru for all things office gossip. Shopping, dating and modern slang are all things she excels with, but there are somethings even she doesn't understand. In the episode "Money", Kelly wonders aloud about one of her coworkers, and poses this quote for the audience's consideration.

Question 9

This year, I decided to really get into the spirit of _____.

Dwight Schrute isn't really a half-hearted kind of guy. When it comes to any one of his endeavors, no matter how trivial they may seem to everybody else in the office, he's all in, no matter what. Whether he's playing his recorder at a bird's funeral, falling for one of Jim's many, many practical jokes or trying to low-key sabotage his coworkers, Dwight only ever brings his A game. So, it comes as no surprise that he would be just as dedicated to getting into the spirit of a national holiday, too.

Question 10

I am running away from my responsibilities. And ______.

Michael's got a lot of good things going for him. We mean, he's a funny guy, even when he's not trying to be, and he's a cool boss, even if he isn't always a very good one. But let's not forget that Michael, as just an Average Joe, is super relatable, especially when he leaves the office and attempts to run away from all of his problems. We've all been there, but not many of us have had the guts to actually go through with it. Kudos to you, Michael.

Question 11

Turns out, there's no limit to the number of _____ you can throw at someone's face.

When Michael leaves Dunder Mifflin to start his own paper company, Pam is one of the employees who joins his "dream team". Sadly, things start off slowly, and they only fizzle out from there. Dwight agrees to meet with Michael to tell him what's been going on with Dunder Mifflin, in order to help Michael undercut them and help his own business succeed. But, in the meantime, he and Pam while away the hours in the basement, throwing snacks at each other, mastering their hand-eye coordination skills.

Question 12

Every word out of your mouth is like the squawk of an ugly _____.

Erin Hannon made her appearance in the episode titled "Michael Scott Paper Company". She was hired on as the receptionist of Michael's new business venture, replacing Pam who was promoted to salesperson. Erin is peppy, upbeat and optimistic, and she's always got something nice to say. But even chipper people like Erin have their limits, and in episode 16 of season nine, Erin loses all sense of chill, and she snaps at her one time boyfriend, Gabe, by comparing his voice to the unpleasant shrieks of a bird.

Question 13

Have you ever tried to use a chain with three weak links? I have, and now I no longer own _____.

Dwight's a geek, and he's a bit of a rube, too, but we shouldn't let those two things distract us from the fact that he's also fascinated by dangerous creatures that he has absolutely no business owning. In episode 14 of season eight, titled "Special Project", Dwight is tasked with forming a team of people to take with him to Florida for three weeks, in order to help Sabre open up a chain of retail stores. Andy refuses to let Dwight take Phyllis, Angela, Oscar, Toby and Darryl, which causes Dwight to complain.

Question 14

Otherwise, this thing is gonna _____ amok.

In addition to his wonky vocabulary skills, Michael Scott's ability to recite classic idioms correctly leaves a lot to be desired. But, if you can't be right, then at least be funny, that's what we always say! Michael may not always use the right phrase...alright, so he almost never uses the right phrase. But even so, we admire his free-wheeling attitude when it comes to popular words and phrases. He's playing by his own set of rules, just like in the episode "The Cover Up", when he botched the phrase "run amok"

Question 15

I am not to be _____ with.

In addition to being a klutz and a bit of a ninny (actually, scratch that last and make it a humongous ninny), Michael's vocabulary skills are not what they could be. Oh, sure, he knows a lot of words, and he's will to use them. The problem is, just because he knows those words doesn't necessarily mean he knows their definitions, and this proves to be a teensy, albeit humorous problem throughout the course of the show, especially in episode "Casual Friday", when he tried to assert his dominance.

Question 16

I am about to do something bold in this job that I have never done before. _____.

Jim Halpert is the kind of guy who doesn't try or not try to follow the rules, he just sort of does his own thing, and his own thing largely consists of flirting with Pam (especially in the early season) and pranking Dwight. Oh, but don't go thinking we're complaining, because we're not. We love Jim's antics, and he's no slacker, but because he's so engrossed in these two hobbies of his, his work sometimes gets put on the back burner. In "Job Fair" Jim decides to make a bold career move.

Question 17

I am fast. To give you a reference point, I am somewhere between a snake and a mongoose...and a _____.

As a big fan of Lost and The Amazing Race, Dwight is something of a survivalist himself. Besides, life on a 60-acre beet farm can be pretty rough at times, so it helps to know how to make it in the great outdoors, anyway. Dwight is constantly mastering various feats of strength, and physical fitness is a top priority with him. In the episode "The Merger", Dwight assesses his speed and breaks it down into layman's terms, so even the blockheads he works with can understand. Sort of.

Question 18

I tried to talk to Toby and be his friend, but that is like trying to be friends with _____.

There is nothing, and we mean nothing, that Michael Scott wouldn't do for his employees. He loves all of them equally, with his whole heart. Well, almost all of them, that is. Michael has drawn the line when it comes to loving, let alone liking, one of his employees. Toby Flenderson is the bane of Michael's existence for reasons that are never fully explained. His dislike of Toby is as intense as his love for improv. But, in "Frame Toby", Michael tries to befriend Toby. Sadly...it doesn't go well.

Question 19

I don't care what they say about me. I just want to _____.

After being forced into attended the episode's title "Dinner Party", Jim and Pam find themselves on a triple couple date with Michael and Jan, and Andy and Angela. To describe the situation as awkward doesn't even begin to cover it, from Jan asking Jim and Andy to invest in her candle making business, to the song she sings about an encounter with her former assistant, Hunter, this shindig is a bad dream. Pam finds herself in the bathroom talking to the cameras where she makes the following statement.

Question 20

Am I a hero? I _____, but yes.

In the episode titled "Safety Training", Michael takes offense when warehouse employee, Darryl Philben, mocks him for working in an office, a place that is decidedly un-dangerous. This prompts Michael to embark on a quest to prove Darryl wrong by jumping off the office building onto a trampoline, later replaced with a bouncy house. He tells Dwight to call his coworkers to the parking lot, where he lectures them about the dangers of the office setting. Eventually, they talk him down, and Michael claims he saved a life today. His own.

Question 21

I am ready to face any challenge that might be _____ enough to face me.

Dwight's foolhardiness is matched only by his overconfidence. But, we mean, it's not like his sense of superiority is completely undeserved. The guy is a weapons expert, after all, and he knows an awful lot about farming and TV shows. Maybe he really is better and smarter than everyone else in the office. Hmm. Actually, that statement might be taking things a little bit too far, but still and all, we can't deny that Dwight Schrute is always ready to take on any challenge.

Question 22

Don't call me a clown, Pam. _____.

In "Twelve Old Dogs, No New Tricks", Ryan informs Pam that Smokey Robinson has passed. His feigned heartbreak over the event solidifies him as the insufferable hipster of the office, but soon, Jim finds an article online saying Smokey Robinson hasn't passed, and that the story's a hoax. Jim also learns that Smokey Robinson will be performing at a nearby college. He and Pam urge Ryan to go, but Ryan acts disgusted by the opening act, Paul Anka, and storms off. Pam calls after him, saying the name of a Smokey Robinson song, "Tears of a Clown", but the joke's lost on Ryan.

Question 23

Most nights, before I go to bed, I will lay _____ strips of bacon on my grill.

Where most people try to avoid doing things that make no sense at all, Dunder Mifflin's regional manager, Michael Scott, is the complete opposite. In episode 12 of season two, we learn that Michael uses a George Foreman Grill to cook his breakfast. Not so strange, right? Well, here's the kicker. He puts his bacon on the grill—which he keeps on the floor near his bed so he can wake up to the smell of frying bacon—then goes back to bed. This quickly proves to be a bad idea.

Question 24

And I knew exactly what to do. But _______ I had no idea what to do.

Hmm. How best to describe Michael Scott? Well, he's a mediocre boss, he's a blundering buffoon in the office and out, he sticks his foot in it every chance he gets. Michael's gotta lot going on, and he'll be the first person to admit that he has flaws (which, by the way, he will spin in a very positive light). But, ultimately, Michael Scott is a really good guy with a heart made of gold, even if he doesn't always know what he's doing.

Question 25

There's a lot of beauty in ______. Isn't that kind of the point?

The series finale of The Office was one of the most heart-wrenching things comedic television has ever seen, and we're still not over it, to be honest. We cry our eyes out every single time, acting like we don't know exactly what happens and like we couldn't act out every part if forced to, because we definitely could. Anyway, the last episode, just like all of the others before it, was full of memorable quotes, including this observance made by The Office's own Pam Beesly Halpert.
