To the stereotypical little girl, nothing is more ideal than the thought of becoming a princess when you grow up. Every company that dabbles in the world of children's entertainment aspires to have their very own "Disney Princess," a strong female character that young women look up to and that can be associated with their brand. Of course, the real reason a company wants their own princess is because they are marketable as can be! Princess Jasmine

Princess Jasmine is the daughter of a powerful Sultan who lives in the fictional Middle Eastern kingdom of Agrabah. Throughout the film, Jasmine's father is trying to set her up with young men of royalty across the land, but she really isn't having any of it. Finally she comes across a handsome Prince who is different than all the other potential suitors; however, little does she know that this prince was actually a peasant in disguise. In the end, she doesn't care!

Tiana

Tiana was the star of one of Disney's most recent 2-D animated movies. For the longest period of time, the House of Mouse abandoned traditional animation in favor of computer-generated characters and environments. Though this movie didn't do so hot at the box office, it is still a great entry into the company's catalogue. Who says princesses have to be helpless? Leia Organa is the daughter of Senator Bail Organa and the next in line for the throne of Alderaan. Of course, that all changes when she is captured by the evil Empire, who completely destroy her home right in front of her eyes. This only furthers Leia's drive to fight back against her oppressors as part of the intergalactic rebellion. Later in her life, the princess gets an upgrade and becomes a General in the second galactic Civil War.

In the end she is reunited with her true love, but only after much heartbreak and suffering.
