In loose terms, a band include multiple members and various instruments. Bands can technically include music of any genre, but the music they tend to put out is pop, rock, indie, or alternative based. This kinds of music is still mainstream but no longer tend to be long running chart topping hits. However, occasionally a song breaks through to defy the trends. This is not to say that bands are no longer putting out meaningful, catchy, or beautiful music. This quiz involves a wide range of varying genres of music as what defines pop rock is incredibly vague. While many of the songs on this list are incredibly different, what these songs do have in common is that they all have an undeniable energy that appeals to youth. All of these bands are unique as they have their own distinct sound and accomplishments. Some different types of bands this quiz may include range from rock bands, punk bands, country bands, to boy bands.
In order to succeed in acing this quiz, one must have a wide range of different genres of music and knowledge about bands and the modern music they produce as well as many classic rock and alternative hits.
