What will the future look like? Well, when you consider that just 20 years ago people were still using pagers and the internet was almost unheard of, we could be in for an incredible ride when it comes to technology.
Perhaps we'll live to see the day that robots become a part of everyday life or when nanotechnology changes the world of medicine forever. Maybe we'll see humans living for hundreds of years and if we are very lucky perhaps we'll even witness the first man setting foot on Mars.
We all love to imagine the future and so do story-tellers. Sometimes they get it spot on as well, predicting advances long before their time. This genre is called science fiction or sci-fi and over the last few decades, it has become more mainstream and is no longer seen as stories just for nerds.
Sci-fi movies give us a glimpse into the imagined world of tomorrow while also addressing the moral consequences of new discoveries and advances.
