Only A True Fan Remembers The First Season Of Friends

Friends went on to become arguably the most popular TV series of all time, but it got off to a pretty rocky start. The very first season, which aired way back in 1994, was not immediately acclaimed by critics. It was shrugged off as a Seinfeld rip-off with lazy writing and two dimensional characters. It was not representative of the fantastic show that it would later become. The same goes for most popular, long running series. None of the characters were developed to the point of the ones we know and love today and the storylines weren't as characteristic with Friends as later seasons would be. But despite this, it is still Friends and it is still the same terrific cast with the same energy that they would go on to share throughout the full ten season run of the show, so diehard fans of Friends still love the first season. And of course, it has its moments – it had to be good enough to get renewed during a competitive television season, so it does have some flashes of comedy genius. Only true fans of Friends can really remember the first season of the show in any amount of depth. Are you one of them? Take the quiz to find out!
