The Trailer Park Boys is the little show that could. Starting as a low budget pilot it quickly gained notoriety as one of the funniest (and lowest budget) original Canadian comedies of all time.
It follows three friends, and a cast of other characters, around their home community of Sunnyvale Trailer Park as the boys try their best to dodge the police and an overzealous trailer park supervisor to try to scrape together a living through crime.
Filmed as a mockumentary it's one of the raunchiest television shows on Netflix right now, but it still has wholesome qualities, a mix which gives the show its unique feeling. But the boys didn't stop with just television. They have a full catalog of special episodes, and three feature length movies to their credit as well. Not to forget an entire website of original content including a weekly podcast in which subscribers can gorge on if they haven't gotten enough from the show itself.
The boys are currently heading into their 12th season of Trailer Park Boys, and many fans are predicting this will be their last due to the recent death of John Dunsworth who played Jim Lahey and was a major part of the comedic aspect of the now Netflix series. Rest in peace, John.

J hires a manager through pure happenstance after ripping off the artist and selling bootleg CDs which forced Lahey and Randy to blow the whistle. He often gets teased by the boys, well everyone actually, for his adoration of the greasy food, and he loves to barbecue even in the winter. Bubble's claims he has seen Randy put away 20 at once, which likely is not a stretch of the truth since fans have seen time and time again the lengths in which Randy will go through to obtain he favorite snack.

Lahey had a wife? You bet he did. She is the owner of Sunnyvale Trailer Park and is now Lahey's boss. She stuck by Jimmy through his drinking issues but pulled the plug when he made a fool of himself, drunk, at the church during midnight mass before Christmas. She has fallen on hard times on more than one occasion, but has always managed to save the park from foreclosure by any means necessary. Even if it meant stealing a massive quantity of weed money from the boys.
What is the name of Phil's restaurant?
Philadelphia Collins is one gigantic mustard tiger, with two mustard cubs which fans were shocked to find out in a later season in the series. Jacob, who fans have been introduced to well before Phil made an appearance in the show is his youngest son, and Thomas showed up a little later on for only one season. Phil loved two things in life; cooking up cheeseburgers and his sons. He and Randy had a partnership agreement to start a new restaurant in the park, something both of them could get behind.

Bubbles is one of the smartest people in the entire trailer park despite his living arrangement and lack of employment. It seems like Bubs could do anything he wanted, but he chooses to live in near poverty with his best friends in the world, the only family he has ever known. He tries hard to make ends meet to support his seemingly endless litter of kitties he takes care of throughout the park, but he often gets sucked into the world of crime when Ricky and Julian come up with an elaborate scheme.

The only thing on Ricky's mind, for the most part, is providing for his family and having everyone together at last. Unfortunately that never works out for Ricky as his only way to provide for his daughter and love the love of his life is to break the law by any means necessary. This almost always ends up with Ricky back in jail, and getting dumped again and again by his on again, off again, wife/girlfriend. In a recent season she left him for good, and it's tough for poor Ricky to handle.

It's a pretty impressive feat to be able to grip a drink glass and never spill a drop through 12 seasons of filming, but that's exactly what we get with Julian. He's the muscle of the crew, although he often thinks of himself as the brains of every operation in which the boys get tangled up in. He always carries with him his trusty drink glass, complete with ice cubes to keep his beverage nice and cold, and he never seems to spill a drop despite the gun fights, car chases, and even captaining his own lobster boat.

It was truly a sad day when this character was written off of the show. He was truly simple, yet genius in the ways of living an easy life without stress or care. He taught Ricky everything he knows, and in turn the fans of the show, with his lessons on life, women, chasing your dreams, and how to drive a rig. He often refers to his time on the job, his training, and the way things used to be better before all of the crime and before the boys grew up into career criminals. Lahey simply wants a safe place for people to live, within his idea of a Utopian Sunnyvale, however Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles see it differently as Lahey is always trying to foil their plans.
Which Hollywood actress got her start in acting on TPB?
Not many people know this Hollywood actress actually got her start in the industry on a very low budget Canadian television show based out of Nova Scotia. In fact, she played Jim Lahey's daughter for one complete season, befriending Ricky, Bubbles, and Julian during the height of their crime wave. She was sweet and innocent, and saw the good in everyone as she even sold her own bicycle to help pay for a new shirt for Ricky to wear after he got out of jail.

These two characters are possibly the two most underrated characters the Trailer Park Boys have ever produced. They are absolutely hilarious in their dimwitted ways and take screwing up to a whole other level. It was sad to see the duo disappear for a while, and even though one of them came back in recent seasons the other is still on the missing list and things aren't quite the same anymore. Still, they offered fans hours of laughs and left their mark on the legacy of the series.

It's not often you get to see a child actor literally grow up on camera, but in the case of Trailer Park Boys that is exactly what fans got. Jeanna Harrison first graced our screens as a young six year old in season one of the series which aired in 2001. Who is this character?
She was Lucy's roommate in the early seasons, and Ricky's girlfriend in later seasons, however she's as important to the park as anybody else. She often pitches in with the schemes the boys are running, offering under the radar help to keep Lahey and Randy off the trail, and most importantly the cops. She's the real life daughter of John Dunsworth aka Jim Lahey, and the on-camera interactions between the two are often hilarious. She's been with the show since its beginning, and continues on to this day.

Fans are not really sure what happened to Bubbles personal vehicle which Ricky gifted him after a brief stint in the jailhouse. Bub's was very protective over his vehicle and would often use it to haul shopping carts to and from the malls to make his living. He's a pretty impressive driver despite not being able to see very well, and even though his rig never had much power behind it Bubs always offered to haul around Ricky in the trailer attached to the back.

He would often show up to Sunnyvale Trailer Park during breaking news segments when something was going down at the park. This basically means he was live on location every other day at the park as there was always some sort of police activity, including drug busts, car chases, gun fights, but also new community businesses. He is a fixture in the community and even has park residents star struck when he's around the park as Bubbles tries his hardest not to freak out.
Who is this rap star?
Keep y'all eyes on this! He has been determined to make it in the rap game ever since season one of the series, although he actually lacks any real talent and is often laughed at by his peers. While the character has been written off of the show after season 10 he still lives on as one of the best characters in the running of the series, including the three movies and other special episodes. Rapping isn't his only career either as he jumps at the opportunity to sell bootleg vodka to park residents.

With Julian missing from the park the boys go straight and start up real businesses to keep themselves going. Bubbles employs several park residents to help him make and bottle his secret recipe to sell at the local flea market, which turns out to be his first real success at owning and operating a legitimate business. In the most recent season we learn that Bubs actually sold his recipe and invested the money in his newest business, another success after a track record of failures and jail time.
Who is J Roc's best friend and DJ?
Probably one of the best friendships the series has to offer is the one of J Roc and his lifetime best friend and DJ. The pair have gotten into all sorts of different businesses outside of the rap game including stealing luggage from the airport, stealing groceries, and making "films" within the trailer park. They aren't the brightest duo, but in comparison to the rest of the crew around them they might be the only team with their heads on straight.
Why do Bubbles and Ray travel to the United States?
Bubbles and Ray end up forming an unlikely friendship in season five, but the two were complimentary to one another. Ray drove trucks, and Bubbles was in need of a driver. The duo set off on an adventure across the border but hit immediate trouble when Ray couldn't control himself around the "friends of the road." Ray had gotten locked up, the truck was seized, and Bubbles was left all alone in another country which ultimately drove him to the brink of insanity.
