The Harry Potter universe is one of most well-known universes out there! We all love Harry Potter and we want nothing to do with people that don't (are there really people out there that don't love Harry Potter?)
Harry Potter taught us the value of love and loyalty. It makes feel warm and loved every time we watch it with a cup of hot tea in our hands and covered with a blanket (in summertime we can adjust and change the menu!). We have laughed and we have cried because there many things we love remembering about Harry Potter and there are others that we wish had never happened in the first place.
Each hug, each smile gives us a reason to believe in humanity and that there are kind people out there in the world. We can believe in honesty, integrity and friendship. Each time we watch it or each time we decide to do a Harry Potter marathon, we can safely say that by the end of it we'll feel even a tiny bit better in the end! Harry Potter is a part of us, and we are a part of him and his universe.

The Weasleys are one of our favorites families in the Harry Potter Universe! We love them because they are kind and we love them because despite the fact that they don't have a lot of money, they are willing to offer everything they've got! The Weasleys have 7 kids (6 sons and a daughter!) and they even welcome Harry in their family by treating him as a son! We know everyone pretty well throughout the 7 years that we follow their lives, but there is one Weasley son that we never meet! He is mentioned sometimes, but he is never on screen. In the third film, Fred (James Phelps) and George Weasley (Oliver Phelps) give Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) a magical map. The magical map is a map of Hogwarts that shows where everyone is inside the castle at any given time (even when they sleep!). Fred and George (our favorite pranksters!) used the map to get away with any mischief they wanted to do during their student years. Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) is one of our favorite witches in the Harry Potter universe! She is the best student in her year because she loves reading books. In truth, Hermione's parents are muggles, so her excitement with the magical world is understandable. She wants to learn the things that other kids her age already know. Hermione's excitement with books and knowledge in general is one of things that helps Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) stay alive throughout the years! How many children do Harry and Ginny have?
From the 6th movie onward, Harry Potter falls in love with his best friend's younger sister (and the Weasley's only daughter!) Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Wright). While in the beginning he has some difficulty facing his true feelings about her, (what would Ron say?) he eventually accepts them. She, having a crush on Harry since she was a little kid, wants to be with him as well. In the flash forward scene we see that Harry and Ginny are still together after all these years and they have children! Firenze (Ray Fearon) is one of the magical creatures that live in Hogwarts! We meet him during one of the films and we can'r help but feel a sense of awe when he comes on screen for the first time! His attitude is something that we wouldn't expect from his kind (from what we've heard about his species is quite the opposite!). Firenze proves that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover and we should always get to know someone before we draw any conclusions! That is why when we first see Firenze we have a completely different reaction than the one he gets from us later on. Remember who Firenze is?
What is the name of Fred and George's shop?
Fred and George are the guys that warm out hearts! Their sense of humor has given us a lot of laughter and many jokes to tell with our Harry Potter friends (well are there any other friends really?). Actually their humor is one of the things that make us love them and admire them. After all they wanted to open the shop because in all this chaos, they felt that people needed something to laugh! Even if their mother wasn't very fond of their idea to open up a shop with funny charms and potions in the beginning, she later on changes her mind and we can't be more excited! Felix Felicis is one of the hardest potions to make at least according to Horace Slughorn (Jim Broadbent )!Professor Slughorn takes over the potions class from Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) in the 6th film. During his first class, Professor Slughorn tries to get everyone's attention by making a game out of the first class! Specifically, the student that will able to brew a good batch of a particular potion will win a vial of Felix Felicis! Everyone wanted to get the prize either to use to for themselves or on another (we can't say!) and Harry Potter wins the game by following the instructions of a student on a book! In the 2nd film, after Harry has to stay indoors (and specifically inside his room only) seeing that his Uncle Vernon (Richard Griffiths) doesn't let him go out, Ron, Fred and George fly out to Harry's house in order to save him. After a tough ride to his friends' home, Harry sees what a house full of witches and wizards is like! He can't stop shoeing his amazement and his fascination with the whole thing! Throughout the years both we (even the biggest fans!) and Fred and George's family can't tell them apart. As we all know, Fred and George take advantage of this fact in any way they can, so that they may succeed in their endeavors! There is one person from the whole Harry Potter universe that can tell Fred and George apart (at least that we know of!) and that is Harry himself! So let's put this to the test! This character is in the first three films of the Harry Potter franchise. He is played by Sean Biggerstaff and we can't help but love him! His devotion to quidditch is one of the things that make him hilarious and his devotion to the house of Gryffindor is one of the characteristics that makes us love him. This character has a remarkable talent at his post in the team which we know that he definitely earned on pure talent! What does the spell 'obliviate' do?
Obliviate is one of the spells that we (as well as our favorite characters!) get to learn later on in the Harry Potter universe. Although it seems to be very simple in fact it isn't and this is why witches and wizards learn it later on in their academic years. After they learn it, this particular charm is always on the tips of their tongues as they have to use it quite often! Hermione uses it mostly because as Ron says it's one of the things that she is best at in relation to him and Harry. Remember what the 'obliviate' spell is used for?
Who is the Half-Blood prince?
In the 6th movie, Harry and Ron don't buy a book for Potions because they didn't get a grade high enough for Professor Snape's standards. Lucky for them, Professor Slughorn doesn't have the same criteria, so Ron and Harry are allowed to take Potions in their 6th year at Hogwarts. During the first class, they go to take books from the cabinet and Harry gets a very old book that has many notes on it from the previous owner. Who cooks every meal in Hogwarts?
We've all seen the meals at the Great Hall of Hogwarts and we've all looked longingly at them (and we won't even try to deny it!). We are not even referring to special meals like those on Christmas and Halloween! Even a simple breakfast at Hogwarts is a feast that every Harry Potter fan out there wants and needs! We never see the meals being served of course, we just see them appear on the tables after Dumbledore snaps his fingers for instance. Has anyone ever wondered where these great meals come from? The wizarding bank in Diagon Alley is one of the most impressive buildings in the Harry Potter universe! Immense, lighted perfectly and in complete silence we can't help, but feel a sense of awe every time a camera leads our eyes throughout the room. We first discover the wizarding bank when Harry enters it for the first time as well in the 1st Harry Potter movie. We then revisit the bank in the 8th and final movie as our favorite group of friends tries to get a step closer to their goal. In the 4th film, we get a very different beginning point than the previous ones. After all, even if none of the other three movies starts in the same way, we are in a sort of familiar setting. Alternatively, in the 4th film we get to see many different wizards and professional players of quidditch! As everyone of the Weasleys along with Harry (even Hermione!) get excited with the game we are on the edge of our sits to see who will win (even if we don't know the teams like we know the Gryffindor and Slytherin!). Who is Igor Karkaroff?
In the 4th season, we get to meet a lot of exciting (or not!) and new faces! We meet people that work in the Ministry of Magic. We meet people from other schools that teach magic. We even get to meet people that are famous quidditch players (lucky us!). Of course, besides the outside change that we get to see, we also see change inside our favorite school of magic, Hogwarts! A new professor comes in and his is a bit spooky (to say the least!). Igor Karkaroff is one of those new faces that we encounter. Remember who he is?
How did Albus Dumbledore lose his life?
In the 6th movie, we get to witness the fall of a great wizard (the first one of the many to follow in the next two movies). We know that after Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) returns, he slowly tries to regain his power. During this time, he has ordered one of his disciples to end Dumbledore's life (after all, even if he won't admit it, Albus Dumbledore is someone that even Voldemort feels he can't overcome in battle). The disciples attempts never succeed, but in the end Albus Dumbledore loses his life despite that. Remember how Albus Dumbledore loses his life?
Who is a werewolf?
In the 3rd film, we get to see a different side of the Harry Potter universe. As Harry and his friends grow up, so the atmosphere of each film changes! The first two have a more children friendly environment. The third movie, on the other hand, takes a tiny step forward to something different! We get to learn a bit more about Voldemort and about Harry's parents. We even get to meet people like Harry's godfather (with an epic twist!). Perhaps the biggest information we get is that someone from the gang of Harry's father was a werewolf! Remember which one of the four friends was bitten by a werewolf?

When children like Harry, Ron, and Hermione get their letters to go to Hogwarts (fingers crossed that some day we'll get ours as well - even if it's in our 80s, we don't care!). This letter includes many information regarding what type of things a student of Hogwarts needs. Every book, every piece of parchment and every cauldron and its size are there. What's more, Hogwarts students are allowed to have a pet with them as long as it belongs in one of the categories listed in the letter! W got frogs, owls, rats and cats! Hermione chose a cat. Who was Lily's childhood friend?
In the 7th movie, we get to see how Harry's mother was in her childhood! As a muggle-born, she had no idea that the wizarding world existed before Dumbledore came to her doorstep and explained to her parents how their lives were about to change! From what we understand from a series of flashbacks, Harry's mother was had a childhood friend that we get to know throughout some of the Harry Potter films. In these flashbacks, we see something that perhaps we weren't expecting and this feelings might be both good for some and bad for others. Remember who was that childhood friend?
What is Tonks' first name?
We get to meet Tonks (Natalia Tena) in the 5th movie as we get to see more adult witches and wizards outside the walls of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry! As the Order of the Phoenix is being reformed once again, we get to meet new faces and we get to see again some other old ones! Tonks is one of the new faces and she is one of the youngest! A talented auror who although looks up to Alastor Moody, (Brendan Gleeson) she doesn't always see eye to eye with him. One of those moments is when he calls her by her first name! How many children do Tonks and Lupin have?
Since we're talking about Tonks, we just have to talk about her relationship with Remus Lupin (David Thewlis )! Although it doesn't have a lot of screen time and although some might not see how these two belong together, Tonks and Lupin are a pair that wasn't an obvious choice, (like Ron and Hermione for instance) but it is a pair that works! We don't get a lot of details, but Tonks' understanding and acceptance of Lupin's condition is one of the things that we love about her! Eventually, they get pregnant and they have a baby boy! Remember if Tonks and Lupin had another kid besides Edward Lupin?
Who fell in love with Romilda Vane?
By the 6th film, our favorite witches and wizards have reached their teenage years! This means that they start to have other interests other than sports and studying. It makes sense, therefore, that in the 6th film we start hearing about potions like love potions and the effect they may have on the one who drinks them. Of course, love potions can't create actual love, but they can definitely create a great sense of inflation! For instance, Romilda Vane (Anna Shaffer) bought a love potion from Fred and George's shop and she tried to make someone fall in love with her (at least superficially!). Someone does drink her love potion accidentally, but perhaps that someone wasn't her target to begin with! Remember who that someone was?
What type of potion is the Amortentia potion?
As Harry, Ron and Hermione learn about new charms and potions and how to use them, so do we through them! We get to see how to make things levitate, how to create light with wands, how to make something come towards us. We even learn how to make our faces take the form of another and how to make someone fall in love with us (as we talked about in the previous question!). Amortentia is one of the most powerful potions in the world (at least according to Professor Slughorn's opinion!). Remember what type of potion the Amortentia potion is?
Name the wand-maker in Diagon Alley
Harry's first trip in Diagon Alley was awesome! He (and therefore we!) saw a lot of amazing things that made him fall in love with the wizarding world forever (as did we!). One of the things that Harry had to get in order to be a wizard is a wand of course! When Harry first walks in the wand shop, he doesn't see anyone until our favorite wand-maker comes out! We see a familiar face since this character is played by no other than our favorite John Hurt, so we instantly like him (at least most of us!). Remember that wand-maker's name?
Who is Xenophilius Lovegood?
Xenophilius Lovegood (Rhys Ifans) is a man we meet towards the end of our journey into the Harry Potter universe. In truth, there is no one put there like him. We see that in pretty much every sentence or even word that comes out of his mouth! This doesn't mean that Xenophilius Lovegood is necessarily powerful or that he is weird. Perhaps he is neither, perhaps he is both! What matters most is that Xenophilius Lovegood is someone that gives Harry, Ron and Hermione an important push towards achieving their goal! Who is the heir of Slytherin?
Throughout the years, we meet a lot of characters that are in Slytherin. From the very beginning, we learn that Slytherin has a very bad reputation. Wizards and witches that ares sorted into that house aren't always the best role models (perhaps they are even the exact opposite of that!). Salazar Slytherin himself had very elitist views about who should be accepted in Hogwarts since he thought that muggle-borns (for instance) weren't worthy. Like a lot of other people, Salazar Slytherin continued his bloodline and we know one of his very distant relatives! Remember who is the heir of Slytherin?
Name Hagrid's pet Acromantula
Since we're talking about the heir of Slytherin, we cannot think of the creature that was hidden in the chamber of secrets (the room that Salazar Slytherin built inside Hogwarts without the knowledge of the remaining school's co-creators). The chamber of secrets was the home of a basilisk (a giant snake with magical abilities!). But before we make this discovery, a lot of people thought that the creature that lived inside the chamber of secrets was Hagrid's pet Acromantula. Of course, as we learn in the second film that this isn't the case by Hagrid's Acromantula himself! Remember the name of that Acromantula?
What is Harry's dream job?
From the moment he is born, Harry is someone's target. Unfortunately, this means that there is a great chance that he might not reach adulthood. Against all odds, Harry reaches adolescence (he is even a teenager when he has to face Voldemort for the final time!). Before he faces Voldemort, however, he is asked what he would like to be when he leaves Hogwarts. Admittedly, Harry hadn't thought that far, but as we know in the fifth year of their studies students at Hogwarts have to take exams. Every work has certain prerequisites that need to be met based on these exams, so Harry has to make a decision! Remember what is Harry's dream job?

We all know and love Dobby (Toby Jones) (that scene in the beach will haunt us forever and ever...). He isn't one of the protagonists of the Harry Potter films, but he is definitely one in our hearts! There is another well-known house elf (even if he isn't liked). This house elf used to belong to our beloved Sirius Black (Gary Oldman). When Sirius Black loses his life (and we lose a piece of our hearts) the house elf goes to Harry since Sirius didn't have any children and Harry was his godson. Remember the name of that house elf?

When Dumbledore's Army is created, we can't help but feel a sense of success and unity! We love seeing all of our favorite witches and wizards learn new stuff especially since they were not allowed to learn anything after the arrival of Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) at Hogwarts. Inside the room of requirement Dumbledore's Army learns how to disarm another witch or a wizard and several other spells. Just before they are caught, however, the learn one of the most impressive and difficult spell, namely how to conjure their patronus! One's patronus takes the form of an animal. Where is the prophesy about Harry and Voldermort hidden?
Harry was the teacher of Dumbledore's army because his position as the opponent of Voldemort is the reason he ash to learn how to do extraordinary things at an early age. He learns how to conjure a patronus at the age of 13, while this is usually taught when a witch or a wizard reach the age of 16. What's important here is that Harry was put into that position when Voldemort decided to eliminate him as a threat when he was a baby based on a partial prophesy one of his followers had heard. Later on, in order to win the battle with Harry, Voldemort wants to hear the whole prophesy, but he cannot find it. Remember where did the Order of Phoenix place the prophesy, so that Voldemort wouldn't be able to find it?
Name the platform for the Hogwarts Express
The platform for the Hogwarts Express! The moment both we and Harry realize that Hogwarts is real, and we actually get to see (even if unlike Harry we don't get to live in it!). Seeing that Harry's journey as a wizard begins there, it seems fitting that is should also end there. So, in the ending scene we are once again on that platform and we see Harry lead his children on the train as an adult now next to his wife Ginny. As the screen becomes black, we see one last time our friends and one last time our favorite platform. Remember the name of that platform?
Name the village close to Hogwarts
The first two years at Hogwarts, the students stay mostly indoors while they attend school. In the third year, however, they get to go on a village close by that is inhabited only by wizards alone. This means that students get to experience a world outside Hogwarts where magic prevails. Although for witches and wizards that come from families with magical lineage, this is an awesome experience for all the muggle-borns and ourselves! Unfortunately, Harry isn't allowed to go during the first year because his guardians didn't sign the paper that would have allowed him to do so. Remember the name of that village?
Who is Sybill Trelawney?
Sybill Trelawney (Emma Thompson) is one of the characters in the Harry Potter universe that although she doesn't have a lot of time on screen, she is known by pretty much everyone! Sybill Trelawney is a woman that lives on her own world, and has specific viewpoints and principles that we cannot completely understand. There is one thing, however, that we can't deny: Sybill Trelawney is a kind hearted woman and a very brave woman at that. She always stands for what she believes in even if she doesn't have the authority that entails sometimes. Remember who is Sybill Trelawney?
