Back in 2011, Showtime picked up a US adaptation of popular European show 'Shameless'. The show, created by Paul Abbott, follows part-time father Frank Gallagher, played by the famed William H. Macy, and his six children around the south side of Chicago as they try to navigate growing up in poverty, while also managing to deal with their own fair share of trouble. While the series was primarily focused on the patriarch of the Gallagher family, it quickly becomes apparent that Fiona, the oldest Gallagher child in the house, is the one that keeps the family running while Frank is off doing the unfathomable.
