Only 00s Kids Can Name All These SpongeBob SquarePants Characters!

That said, when comparing all of these cartoons, there are none that even come close to the level of SpongeBob SquarePants.

This show about the misadventures of a talking sponge and his group of friends, it was a hit instantly. Creator Stephen Hillenburg had brought such a smart level of humor to the show that resonated with both kids and adults. The characters were all extremely well-designed, and it only cemented the show as one of the most memorable productions in Nickelodeon history.

The popularity of the show has caused it to still be in production today, with Hillenburg recently returning to helm each episode. It's impressive that the sponge remains big even today, but those that have the greatest love for the show were familiar with the classic episodes.
