Only 30% Of Dallas Cowboys Fans Will Pass This Quiz. Can You?

The Dallas Cowboys are one of, if not the, most popular franchise in the National Football League. The reason for their popularity is a combination of spectacular results, a good location, and great branding.

They are one of the most successful football teams, with five Super Bowl wins, which ties them for second along with the San Francisco 49ers, and the New England Patriots, all of whom are behind only the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have six titles.

The Cowboys’ Super Bowl wins have come from two distinct dynasties: two Super Bowl wins in the 1970s, and three in the 1990s. Because of their early success, Dallas Cowboys games were nationally televised more often than others, which lead to the Cowboys having a nationwide fanbase. This all led to NFL Films John Facenda referring to Dallas as “America’s Team” in one of their documentaries, and the nickname has stuck ever since.

One downside to being an extremely popular team is that you pick up a lot of bandwagon fans. These are the type of fans that don’t know much, or anything, about the team’s history, they just cheer for them because their always on TV, or they win lots.

Those fans might not do too well in this quiz, but if you’ve been a fan of America’s Team for decades, I’m sure you’ll do just fine.

What shape is on the Dallas Cowboys’ helmets?

Helmet logos are iconic in American football, and you can bet that America’s Team has picked a pretty good logo to represent their team. This logo is an ode to the state of Texas, where the team is located, and has been on Cowboys’ helmets since the very year they were founded. Adding a border around the shape in 1964 has been the only alteration of one of the most popular logos in all of North American sports. Which of these shapes is it?

He took the Cowboys to five Super Bowls as their head coach, and won two of them. Do you know who this is?

Question 6

How many times have the Dallas Cowboys won the Super Bowl?

He will retire this off-season with 237 games played, which is 15 more than this player, who spent 15 seasons with America’s Team. Question 35

Did Dez catch it?

This is one of the most controversial calls the NFL has seen in recent times, and it quite surprisingly went against America’s Team. Dez Bryant was stretching out for a pass from Tony Romo in a playoff game against the Green Bay Packers that, if caught, would have given them a berth in the NFC Championship Game. After both of his feet landed in bounds, with possession of the ball, Dez fell to the ground, and the ball came into contact with the ground, and slightly changed its position in Bryant’s hands. By the NFL’s definition, was it a catch?
