Taglines are one of the most under appreciated parts of movie marketing. While your eye might be drawn to the good-looking faces adorning movie posters, or to the glossy footage on show in trailers, don't forget to take notice of the tagline that a bunch of people have probably spent hours trying to come up with.
A tagline has got a lot to do. It's got to be short, sweet, punchy but also hook the audience into wanting to see the movie in question as much as possible. There are various ways to do this - many taglines use wordplay or puns or jokes to grab people's attention. Others outline the central conflict of the movie to get people interested in the drama.
