Only 20% Of Film Fans Can Name These Movies From Just The Tagline

Taglines are one of the most under appreciated parts of movie marketing. While your eye might be drawn to the good-looking faces adorning movie posters, or to the glossy footage on show in trailers, don't forget to take notice of the tagline that a bunch of people have probably spent hours trying to come up with.

A tagline has got a lot to do. It's got to be short, sweet, punchy but also hook the audience into wanting to see the movie in question as much as possible. There are various ways to do this - many taglines use wordplay or puns or jokes to grab people's attention. Others outline the central conflict of the movie to get people interested in the drama. Some speak directly to the reader and ask them to engage their imaginations.

Despite these intentions, though, sometimes it is hard to tell taglines apart. A lot of movies share similar premises, after all. For instance, only a small selection of film fans would be able to match the following 35 taglines we've rounded up to the movie they were written for. Prove us wrong by taking the quiz below for yourself.

Tagline: "Heroes aren't Born. They're built."

The tagline for this mystery movie reads: "Heroes Aren't Born. They're Built." So it looks like it's a movie about a robot or perhaps a cyborg. But does this refer to Tony Stark in Iron Man or the titular cybernetic officer in Robocop? Or perhaps it applies to good ol' Inspector Gadget? Finally, does it mean Baymax, the loveable, cuddly robot in Disney's Big Hero 6? Try and guess the movie this tagline comes from based off the four options found below.

Question 2

Tagline: "An adventures 65 million years in the making."
