At the ripe age of 51, starring in his first film in 1989, Adam Sandler has made quite the name for himself in the world of Comedy, film, and even as a Director. He started out as a regular member to the very popular improv/skit show Saturday Night Live, and has barely slowed down from then. Seriously, at one point, you couldn't watch a comedy or a Rom-Com without seeing Sandler or one of his merry bunch of comedic buddies. Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Ben Stiller, and Drew Barrymore are just some of the many actors that are linked with Sandler in his movies. He has even teamed up with Jennifer Aniston a couple times in repeat romantic comedies, and again in Netflix's Murder Mystery.
Sandler isn't always a name associated with good movies, he is a household name and people tend to forget the bad movies, by remember the iconic ones. We won't name any of them here, because that's your job on this quiz, but we know for sure, if you gravitated towards this article then you know at least a few of his movies, and we are betting that from the few you know, you can quote all your favorite lines and remember all your favorite moments.

What's the name of this Golf movie?
A professional hockey player leaves his career behind and upon realizing that his grandmother is about to lose her home he enters a Golf tournament to win the prize and pay off his Grandmother's debt. Only ever wanting to be a hockey player, the lead character doesn't know the first thing about golf, but figures, how different can it really be? Between yelling at the ball to get in, picking fights with the other golfers and general misconduct, he brings hockey to the golf course.
The one where he goes back to school!
The lead character, played by Adam Sandler, is a spoiled rich brat who spends most of his days lounging around in the pool, and excessively drinking. After embarrassing himself in public, and bringing shame to his family name, his father, the hotel tycoon, gives him an ultimatum and says that enough is enough. Since he passed his classes, mainly because of his father's influence, he was going to go back to school and re take all the classes, and pass high school in a record 24 weeks or he wouldn't inherit the company.
This sports one
Raised by an extremely overprotective mother (played by Kathy Bates), Bobby Boucher Jr. works for a college football team as the errand boy, grabbing the players water, and other refreshments. When he gets fired, a rival, losing team takes him on. After witnessing some severe anger issues from Bobby, and him single handedly take on one of the players, the Coach to his new team, desperately, puts Bobby on the team and tries him out in the role as a linebacker.
The one with the boy
When a young boy is dropped off on the lead character's doorstep with a note saying that he's his father and he's basically, his problem now, Sunny, reluctantly, takes on the role of dad, in an attempt to make Julian (A young Dylan Sprouse), feel like he's a part of a family and that he has a home. When Sunny finds it too hard to be a father figure he goes to the adoption services and tries to give Julian up.
Always a singer, never the bride
A movie set in 1985 sees a down on his luck Adam Sandler, with no romantic prospects, no semblance of a love life, in one of the most romantic jobs ever, he sings at weddings. Every day, to make a living, he celebrates other people's love and never truly experiences it himself. After being abandoned at the alter by his fiancée, wondering if love is truly worth it, he meets a waitress on the job and they hit it off immediately, when she asks him to help plan her own wedding.
I'd walk 500 miles, and I'd walk 500 more
In this movie, we see Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore coupled up yet again. This time Henry, a veterinarian who uses his title to get with his clients, meet Lucy, a girl who suffers from short-term memory loss and forgets what she has just experienced just the day before. The trick is to get something so set into memory that it goes from short term to long term, so every morning Henry needs to re-introduce himself, and take her out, just for her to forget him the next day.
No Good Deed Goes Unnoticed
This movie follows the life of Longfellow Deeds, a small town man who enjoys the simple life working at a restaurant. In a turn of events, a long lost relative passes away and leaves him an incredible amount of money. Not only does it come with wealth, but some new digs, and a multi million dollar Media company. This takes small town Longfellow right into the spotlight and reporters all over want to get a piece of the new Deeds in town.
Anger Issues
Dave Buznik (player by Sandler), is usually an extremely calm and collected person who finds himself in an altercation on an airplane. The misunderstanding, and unnatural outburst of anger, lands him in mandatory anger management therapy, where he meets his therapist Dr. Buddy Rydell (Played by Jack Nicholson), who is in definite need of some of his own lessons. Rydell ends up fuelling, but also demonstrating just how crazy one can look when they give into their urges and express full-fledged, anger.
When the adults play
Remember when you were younger and you thought adults knew everything and had it all together? Well, that was a rude awakening. Starring the comedian heavy cast of Sandler, Kevin James, and Chris Rock, we find the childhood friends reunited after the death of their childhood basketball coach. Planning an adult reunion, we see the comedians at their greatest, acting like big children. Following the logic that just because you're an adult now, doesn't mean you actually ever grow up. Some people, genuinely, never do.
Right at your finger tips
Adam Sandler plays Michael Newman, a family man, who appears to have it all until his wife (played by Kate Beckinsale) starts to get on his case that he is spending too much time at work and not enough time with his family. Not wanting to give up the time he spends at work, or his family time, Michael meets a cooky inventor who has come up with a remote controlled device that allows him to control time. The power gets to his head when time travel is at the tip of his fingers.
Make the run
A shamed former Professional Football player (played by Sandler), named Paul Crewe ends up having to spend some time in jail where a warden, using his power, forces him to help him his 'All-felon' football team. The help then eventually turns into him becoming the star quarterback of the team filled with inmates. The most important game is a game of inmates vs the prison guards. The team coach, a former NFL coach-turned felon, along with Paul and the team try to overcome the abuse of power coming from the officials and the rival team.
Down for anything
A successful Plastic Surgeon, Daniel Maccabee (played by Sandler), decides he is done with love and fakes being married so he can get with other girls, with no strings attached. When he goes on a trip and meets his dream girl, he realizes he has bit off more than he can chew. He has to ask his assistant (played by Aniston) to be his fake wife to continue with the ruse and not be discovered. This of course, brings more problems than solutions.
Through sickness and health
Chuck and Larry (played by Sandler and Kevin James, respectively) are two fire fighters that decide to take their partnership to a whole other level, and make each other a promise that will have to hold up through sickness and through health. What started as a way to help Larry, a widower, be able to make his children his beneficiaries, turns into a raging news story, forcing them to keep up the appearance at every cost necessary. What's the name of the movie?
The Morningstar Himself
Wanting to do pretty much everything BUT take up the family business, the youngest of the Devil's three sons has to take a break from his heavy metal listening to help his dad control his older brothers who have escaped hell and want to wreak havoc on the world. Little Nicky takes after his mother's side, who is an angel, and tries to do good out in the world in order to bring some harmony after the damage created by his devious brothers.
Sweet Dreams, Sweet Prince
Have you ever read a book and hoped that it would, somehow, come true? Maybe you're into dragons coming true, maybe any version of fantasy, or action movies? Comic books? The sky is the limit when it comes to stories. So what about smarties falling from the sky and talking hamsters? That's what happens in this Adam Sandler movie where all the bedtime stories that Skeeter Bronson was telling his kids before they went to bed, started to come true.
Any Hostel will do
In aa world where halloween characters are real, you have to imagine that when they want to just get away from it all, and have a mini vacay that they all need a place to go. There's a Hotel out there that takes in all different spooky monsters, no discrimination. This resort is for monsters, and monsters only, so you can imagine what happens when Count Dracula invites his friends to the monster holiday chalet, and a human stumbles upon their safe haven.
No Air Up There
This movie brings together the hilarious brilliance of Adam Sandler, Brenden Frasier, and Steve Buscemi, where they play 3 wannabe rockstars trying to navigate their way through the competitive world of Rock and Roll. Pip, Chazz, and Rex find themselves in some hot water when desperately try to sneak onto a popular radio station in LA. Things go astray when they are met with a lot of hostility from the music Manager and they take him at gunpoint, with fake water guns.
The Slapstick Comedy
In an attempt to run away Israel and all the dangerous fighting going on, notorious commando Zohan (played by Sandler) flees to New York and goes undercover as a hairdresser, his lifelong dream career, which he would have been had he not had to be in the military instead. Zohan's crazy skills with scissors and style land him quite the reputation amongst the Manhattan women and before too long he gets noticed by the wrong type of people and he's forced to bust out his -- other -- chops.
Drew Barrymore Again
Lauren (played by Barrymore) a recent widower, and Jim (Sandler) are set up on a blind date that goes disastrously wrong. They hope to never see it again, but as it's a romantic comedy, of course, fate intervenes, laughs and they both purchase half of the same vacation package to an African resort. This happenstance forces the two families to spend the whole vacation together. They realize the first impression of each other had been wrong and they start to really see the two families getting along.
Adam S vs Andy S
When Donny (Sandler), at the young age of 18, finds himself with a baby boy, he takes on the responsibilities of being a single parent, and finds every way to fail at it, until finally, when his own son turns 18, he kicks him to the curb. Todd his son, continues his life as best he can, without the not-so-helpful strain of his terrible father. Years later Donny tries his best to insert himself in Todd's life again, and manages to, yet again, make a mess of things.
Gaming Time
In this movie, Kevin James the president of the US who, upon being invaded by aliens that take on regular life-forms, or so they think, as they show up on earth as real life space invaders, and pac man characters. Why? Because when they did their research on the planet, all they found were very old arcade games and thought this was what the humans looked like. The president brings his best man on board, the former video-game champ (Sandler) to defeat the animated aliens.
Guns A Blazin!
Sandler plays a not so smart criminal (Archie Moses) that works for a kingpin (played by James Caan), and unbeknownst to him, one of his best friends Jack Carter (Damon Wayans) is an undercover cop using the information he gets from Archie to help get to the notorious Kingpin Frank Colton. Archie accidentally shoots Carter the truth is discovered and Carter needs to bring Archie in, protect him, so he can safely take the stand and testify agains Frank Colton.
Comedians Unite!
Bringing together, yet again, some great comedy geniuses, Sandler stars as Frank Simmons, a comedian at his prime, who has recently been diagnosed with an incurable disease. Making some serious life changes, and questions his existence, he decides to take Ira (Seth Rogan) an upcoming comedian under his wing and take the role of his mentor. When an old flame comes into his life, and his disease goes into remission, Frank starts to re evaluate his whole life and improve on it as best he can.
A whole new language
A Mexican immigrant moved over to the US with her family and takes up a job with a well-off American family (Tea Leon and Adam Sandler). When the new housekeeper can't keep up with the demanding schedule because of her own child, Deborah (Leon), invites her to move into their guesthouse. Trying to overcome language barriers and cultural differences, the two, very different families try to understand each other and mix the best of both of their, sometimes, polarizing, worlds.
Two is better than one
Two siblings (both played by Adam Sandler) are brought together again for the holidays. Even though they look the same, and are the same age, their similarities, pretty much stop there. Jack is an ad executive and he desperately needs Al Pacino for one of his commercials. When Jack and his twin Jill butt heads at the holidays, Jack tries to make things right. Al Pacino ends up taking a liking to Jill and Jack needs her to be able to get to Pacino.
One Two, Step
Trying to go through life as the only brother with seven sisters, Egan (Sandler) lives a very mundane and uneventful life, and very much hopes to keep it that way. He is prone to bursts of anger and prefers to be by himself and in his own little safe bubble. This get's disrupted when he falls in love with one of his sister's co workers. Pretty normal so far. But of course, he needs a bigger shake up and he gets blackmailed by an extortionist.
If you want to know a man, look at his shoes
This movie is basically the story of the shoe maker and his little elves, but instead of elves, this cobbler finds a magic sewing machine that allows him to, literally, step into his customer's shoes. Trying to go through his life, and all the others, he learns new, and exciting things about himself and about the people around him. What would your life look like to someone else if they could actually step into your shoes? What's the name of this movie?
It cant get any worse than these guys
A not so hilarious depiction of a white orphaned native American (played by Sandler), brings many controversial opinions to light. One thing that was pretty much agreed on was how unfunny it really was. Bonus part though, was seeing Taylor Lautner in the role of the town idiot (depicted). When 'White Knife' discovers that the outlaws are all his half brothers so they gang up together and try to save their father. What was the name of this crazy movie?
Definitely a bit too much
Adam Sandler makes his first ever movie appearance in this movie all the way back in 1989. This movie tells a story about a struggling comedian who takes his first job in a cruise ship to try to make it big. In the meantime a General has sent his crew of killers onto the ship to kill a beauty queen that had turned him down. Art imitated life when the whole thing went bad and Sandler's career didn't really go as planned.
Talent is a dime a dozen
An extremely talented manager, working in Los Angeles, discovers a new client at an amusement park and ends up following in love with her and her incredible voice. This manager, who has always been extremely devoted to his clients and shown integrity and professionalism is now put to the test when he wants to act on his feelings for the singer. The movie brings together several artists on the fringe of Hollywood trying to make a name for themselves with the help of a successful manager.
Best Friends Meet Again
This movie brings together Don Cheadle as Alan Johnson, and Adam Sandler as Charlie Fineman, two estranged friends who bond over the disparity of their adult lives. Sandler shows us a side we had never truly seen before, that of seriousness. Fineman, who is still suffering from the loss of his family who died in 9/11, struggles with what to do next, while Johnson has his own issues with his living family that he is desperately trying to hold onto.
All of the family groups
Who doesn't use the internet for virtually every thing these days? In a modern day depiction of the tech world, and tech dependency we now live in, this movie shows different approaches to the internet from different people. A strict mother, a mother who posts photos of her children, a father and son who use it for porn and information, and just how people have learned to communicate so differently in the tech era we are currently living in. As true today as it was when it came out.
The one with all the animals
This one is easy by name, but you may not have been fully aware that it was an Adam Sandler movie. It is, in more ways than one. He is part of the production team as one of the Executive Producers and he also lends his voice to one of the animals at the zoo. With quite a recognizable voice, now that you're thinking about the movie, you probably noticed right away that it was Adam Sandler when you first heard him speak.
What's with the weird head shapes?
Another alien type movie involves this lovely family who find themselves on planet earth. Sandler has a much smaller role in the movie, as Carmine Weiner, but you still should be able to recognize the movie, if not simply by the shape of these extraterrestrial being's heads. Hoping that their odd shaped headed daughter will grow up as a regular teenager, living a regular life on earth, her parents do everything they can to fit in and make sure their overly large heads don't get in the way.
The Sequel
In the sequel to one of the movies on this list we find childhood friends reunited yet again. They very quickly realize that even though they are older and have moved on with their lives, once together again, they never truly did change. Each character goes through their own changes, facing fears, changing jobs and even finding out they have a long lost 18-year old son. What sequel is this following? And does it go by the same name as the prequel?
