On A Scale Of Garbage To Great, How Would You Rate These Movies?

Welcome to 2018, a year that is guaranteed to give us such fantastic movies like Solo: A Star Wars StoryRampage, and A Wrinkle in Time. We're so sorry that movies like Black PantherAvengers: Infinity War, and others with so much potential are going to be lost in the bad movies.

But, I'm allowed to say that because I have my own taste in movies and you have yours. Today, we're going to see if your taste is as good - or even better - than mine. Actually, what we meant to say is that today, you're going to rate movies on a scale of great to garbage.

There's no spoilers in this quiz, nor are there any independent or foreign films that you've most likely never seen. These movies are all among some of the most beloved and infamous in recent history - from the 1990s to now - and we even had some ones from 2017 in here. No, we don't spoil anything from The Last Jedi, although we're quickly approaching the point where we can talk about *this scene* and the scene where *character* manages to do *action* against *character*.

So if you're ready to rate movies and see how bad your tastes are, let's get to work.

Question 1

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Another controversial movie, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" still has people angry nearly two years and two DCEU movies later. Was it the portrayal of each character that upset people? Was it Batman KILLING PEOPLE? Was it MARTHAAA? Let us know how you felt about "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Question 2

Transformers: The Last Knight

Instead of writing a description for this part, I feel like just putting noises of the Transformers fighting and turning into cars. So that's what we're going to do. Vroom vroom. Transformers, CGI things doing things. Vroom vroom. Now they're changing again. Vroom vroom. What'd you think of "Transformers: The Last Knight?"

Question 3

Pulp Fiction

When we go around talking about Quentin Tarantino, "Pulp Fiction" is arguably still his best work. Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Ving Rhames, Uma Thurman...all of them give a performance for the ages. Oh, and then there's The Wolf, but he's on his own level. What'd you think of "Pulp Fiction?"

Question 4

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut

This movie is as wacky, over the top, vulgar, and awesome as the original South Parks were and we love Bigger, Longer, and Uncut for that. Who else would have a movie where Americans fight Canadians and then take on a legion of the dead before Kenny finally talks normally? Did your heart melt at Kenny? What'd you think of South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut?

Question 5

The Room

The greatest worst movie of all-time, or something more than that? Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" is certainly infamous, but it's a movie that's seeing even more popularity with the release of James Franco's "The Disaster Artist", which is based on the book by The Room star Greg Sestero. What'd you think of "The Room?"

Question 6

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

You already know that we had to start this list off right. One of 2017's most divisive movies and probably the most divisive in the entire Star Wars franchise (Rogue One is another story), "The Last Jedi" is loved by many for its risks and hated by others for...well, we won't spoil anything. What'd you think of "The Last Jedi?"

Question 7

Spider-Man: Homecoming

In a way, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" was a risk by Marvel because it was the first Spider-Man movie we got that wasn't an origin story. Instead, we followed high school (!) Peter Parker as he fought the ambiguously evil Vulture and tried to impress Iron Man. What'd you think of "Spider-Man: Homecoming?"

Question 8

Get Out

Recently, Jordan Peele tackled the question of if "Get Out" - a critically acclaimed horror movie that tackled modern day racism - was actually a comedy. Whatever genre this movie truly feels into, there's no arguing that people came away either really impressed or really disappointed in "Get Out." What'd you think?

Question 9

Inception

Maybe the strangest movie you'll ever see, "Inception" is full of plot twists and things that make you wonder what exactly drove you to watch the movie. But is "Inception" at all a bad movie? We certainly don't think so, but our opinions don't matter here. What say you, quiz taker?

Question 10

The Avengers

avengers

Four years after the Marvel Cinematic Universe officially began with 2008's "Iron Man," one of the most successful movies in history - that's not hyperbole, that's talking about how much movie this made - hit with "The Avengers." Usually in a Marvel fan's top three movies, what'd you think of "The Avengers?"

Question 11

The Wolf of Wall Street

Leonardo DiCaprio returns in arguably his best yet, playing a Wall Street executive who rises to the top and hosts parties full of drugs, sex, and Jon Bernthal trying to get into people's pants like he does in every role not involving The Punisher. What did you think of "The Wolf of Wall Street?"

Question 12

8 Mile

Oh, hell yeah. This was Eminem - who stopped doing drugs for the recording of this movie, something that came back to haunt him later when he returned - at his best, showing off a semi-true look at his life in Detroit before he became one of the greatest rappers ever. Sorry, Lil Uzi fans. What'd you think of "8 Mile?"

Question 13

The Incredibles

Some believe "The Incredibles" was intended to be a satirical jab at the superhero community - one that in 2004 was doing pretty bad on DC's side and average on Marvel's side - but what will "The Incredibles 2" be like now that Marvel is thriving and DC is...being average? What'd you think of "The Incredibles?"

Question 14

Ghostbusters (2016)

This movie...I don't think there's anything to say that hasn't already been said. The all-female, Paul Fieg-led "Ghostbusters "generated great controversy not only for what it did to the franchise, but because of the fart-humor and male-hating attitude the movie took. Over a year later, what did you think of "Ghostbusters?"

Question 15

Avatar

James Cameron already struck gold once with "Titanic", so why not try to do the same with "Avatar", a movie designed to make us feel bad about ourselves and not sharing any connection to the more popular "Avatar: The Last Airbender" not-anime. Avatar made the money, but did it make people satisfied? What did you think of James Cameron's "Avatar?"

Question 16

Justice League

One of 2017's most-hyped movies seemingly came and went without much fanfare, perhaps because Zack Snyder was removed from the project (that was for the better) and Joss Whedon seemingly turned it into another movie entirely (oh, that's why). Nearly two months after its release, what did you think of "Justice League?"

Question 17

Blade Runner 2049

Harrison Ford returns over 30 years after the original Blade Runner, this time teaming up with Ryan Gosling. After a string of mediocre to average performances (and the movie we don't talk about but will bring up later), Harrison Ford earned critical praise for his performance as Rick Deckard. What'd you think of Blade Runner 2049?

Question 18

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith

Originally intended to be the final Star Wars movie before Disney came along in 2012, "Revenge of the Sith" is the end of the prequel trilogy and does its best to perfectly set everything up for the original trilogy. Over a decade later, did you enjoy ROTS or was it as bad as the rest of the prequels?

Question 19

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

For as bad as the Star Wars prequels were, they look like Citizen Kane compared to "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." South Park was pretty blunt in their take that George Lucas and Steven Spielberg raped Indiana Jones. What did you think of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?"

Question 20

The Fault in Our Stars

It's another heartwarming, coming-of-age with understandable cliches and a disappointing ending that really only happened to make things more realistic. Like with other movies that came from books, there were a fair number of people who preferred the original, but what about you? What did you think of "The Fault in Our Stars?

Question 21

Titanic

It's the greatest love story ever told, especially with the scene where Jack draws Rose naked. Nothing says true love like letting a seedy, sketchy young guy who was doing all sorts of shady things the entire movie draw a woman - who's supposed to get engaged - naked. What'd you think of "Titanic?"

Question 22

Inside Out

Have you ever wondered what your emotions are thinking and feeling? Welcome to "Inside Out", a Disney movie that feels way too confusing for kids and adults alike. I get the feeling we're not going to be seeing a sequel where Riley is going through puberty. What'd you think of "Inside Out?"

Question 23

The Killing Joke

It would be wrong to go without an animated comic book movie on this list, even if The Killing Joke cleary feels like two different movies so the audience can care about an empowered Batgirl. But, I digress. What did you think of "The Killing Joke", starring Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill?

Question 24

Chicken Little

Really, "Chicken Little" winds up on this list for the unforgettable fact that it beat 50 Cent's "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" movie at the box office in 2005. How could such a thing happen? Never underestimate what Disney has to offer, especially against Curtis Jackson. What did you think of "Chicken Little?"

Question 25

Heat

One of the more underrated heist movies, "Heat" feels more like a Grand Theft Auto game than a movie - and that makes sense, given that Grand Theft Auto V takes many of its character and mission ideas from "Heat." Over 20 years after the intense heists, what did you think of "Heat?"
