Not Even The Biggest Car Buffs Can Name 100% Of These High-End Cars

Who does not love high end cars? No, seriously. That is a serious question. Because if anyone here does not like high end cars then I really have to question why this is the quiz being taken right now. Even if people here just love looking at high end cars then that is more than enough reason to be here. I just have to make sure that everyone loves what they are about to see.

Below are various cars that are so wonderfully luxurious, smooth, sporty and above all...expensive. Which is too bad because I would love to own a good number of these cars. That being said, there is a bit of a challenge with this quiz (it is a quiz after all). This isn't just about seeing what someone's favorite high end car is which. This is all about seeing who can actually name all of the cars below.

We are all willing to bet that not even the biggest car buffs can name 100% of these high end cars (hence the title). That being said, I hope there are a few people out there who can. Those who ace this have my respect. Those who don't...well, I won't think less of anyone. I don't expect anyone to ace this anyway! Now, let's dig in and look at some really pretty cars!

Question 1

Name this car!

This is not exactly a cheap car, that's for. It is by no means the most stylish but it does run $155,000. That being said, this is the fastest car under its particular brand. It's also a hybrid car. And beyond that, it's a supercar that ride with the power of 573 horses. That isn't too bad at all for a hybrid, I'd have to say. It can jump from 0-60 mph in only 3.1 seconds. Oh, and this is an all-wheel-drive car too. Could anyone here imagine taking this car onto the backroads? Going mudding with something like this?

Question 2

Name this car!

Only $70,000 for this car and it can run 335 miles between battery charges. Not a bad deal so long as there is a charging station on the way to wherever people are going. This is, as of right now, the best function electric car in terms of official range. The very base model of this car has an engine that runs at the power of 382 horses. However, this car's battery power can push the car with a fairly healthy 235 horsepower. That is pretty incredible for battery power. It's better than most generic cars running the roads these days.

Question 3

Name this car!

This car has quite a bit of a legacy, and that is putting it mildly. The number of variants and model and editions that this badge has put out is pretty incredible. In terms of the high end cars on the list this may be set at one of the cheapest of the cars with a price tag of $55,459 for the base model. And going up in price, there is not all that much of a gap between the base model and the performance model. May as well go big with this one. Though classic versions of this car might rival the looks, though not the power.

Question 4

Name this car!

This car is way more expensive than it needs to be when considering the differences between it and the lesser models of this same car but that has not dissuaded people from going all in and buying these up. This thing starts at about $86,000 but is can very easily end up well over $100,000 depending on what features one wants to add to their purchase. No matter what, it is pretty easy to admit that pounding forward with the power of about 840 horses is pretty impressive. I can't imagine how often someone might be able to open that up on a regular road, but still...

Question 5

Name this car!

This car rides with the power of 627 horses and can do up to 240 mph. And this is a car from the early 90s! that is how awesome this car is. For a good long time, this is the car that held the record for the fastest street legal car in the world. It's too bad it wasn't built in the U.S. but I think we know the best sports cars do tend to come from somewhere across the pond. But we rule with muscle cars and big trucks! WHen this was sold in the 90s it was about $800,000. Now, however, it can run up to $15 million!

Question 6

Name this car!

Here is probably one of the most popular cars on this list. It is also one of the more affordable...at least among the rap community and dignitaries of one form or another. This luxury SUV is pretty giant and has a base price of about $75,000 and can get up to over $100,000 dependent on the features one bothers to put in there. The Platinum edition alone starts at just under $100,000...and then customization would very easily rack up. All that underglow, spinning caps, tinting, sound system...this is easily the highest end SUV on the list, I would dare to say.

Question 7

Name this car!

This car, for a time, was the fastest street legal car in the world. The McLaren F1 no longer stood ahead of the pack (and considering it was built in the early 90s it had a good run). This car was matched and perhaps outdone by one other car but the Venom could not get official times on the clock until a certain number of units were sold. Don't get me wrong though, that doesn't make this car at all sub par when it comes to power. This thing has 1200 horsepower and can hit 255 mph...it does also cost $1.5 million...

Question 8

Name this car!

The number of editions, versions, evolutions models, designs, and iterations of this car out there is just absurd. It truly is. It is so extensive that the price range on these cars stretch from $220,000 all the way up to about $650,000. These are not cheap cars by any stretch of the imagination, that is for sure. That being said, buying used, depending on the production year, someone can drive home in one of these for $15,000. Let's say that there is about an average of 500 horsepower for this car, since there is such a large range of models and years.

Question 9

Name this car!

This car is probably one of the coolest hatchbacks out there. I think that has mainly to do with the fact that it is largely battery-powered. I don't mean to say that it has a battery for the electrical in it like most cars...I mean to say that it is a battery bank that powers this whole car. And that battery power allows for the power of 250 horses and a top speed of 159 mph. That is nothing to shrug at, I would say. And this car can jump from 0-60 mph in only 3.2 seconds! Not bad for a hatchback.

Question 10

Name this car!

Well, don't ever expect a car like this to be good on gas. Putting the pedal to the metal is just asking the driver to drain the tank pretty quickly. That being said, I think people might not mind refilling all that much after trying out what the power of 730 horses harnessed by a V12 engine really means. Ultimately, it means a top speed of 217 mph which is not likely to be reached on some highway drive but if someone can afford this car at somewhere just shy of $500,000, then I am fairly certain that same person can manage renting a track to really open up this car at some point.

Question 11

Name this car!

Alright, so I think it must be pretty clear to everyone that a car that looks like this is just not going to have any sort of good gas mileage...but if someone can drop $450,000 on the car itself, I have a feeling that they are not going to care about the cost of gas as much as we average Joes might. This really slick-looking car rides with the power of 647 horses which is nothing to scoff at and this thing tops out at a speed of 216 mph...which is not slow. In case anyone thought that it might be.

Question 12

Name this car!

Ranging from $70,000-$90,000, depending on which edition of the car you get, this luxury SUV ranges between 300 and 445 horses powering the thing. It all depends if someone wants a turbocharged six or a turbo V8. This thing has an eight-speed transmission and an intelligent AWD system. I can't imagine taking this mudding though...or out in the snow...so I'm not sure what the AWD is for ultimately. There is also a sport edition that comes with front intakes to give drivers the extra illusory feeling that the top speed of this thing is really going to change significantly. At least it would look good.

Question 13

Name this car!

This is probably one of the cheapest of the high end cars on this list. There is something about a really nice muscle car that really makes a lot of drivers proud of the U.S. It might have something to do with the fact that other than big trucks, the States really only have the muscle car to really be proud of...and there is nothing wrong with that. Just look at this machine. The standard model runs about $30,000 and the V6 it comes with can ride with the power of about 300 horses. That is not a bad start.

Question 14

Name this car!

If someone feels inclined to spend at least $220,00 on a car, this bad boy might just be for them. Especially if they want a nice foreign car that is obviously a sports car and is surprisingly, depending on the source, not classified as either a super or hyper car. Even though it rides with the power of 580 horses, which is definitely not insignificant. Either way, no matter what people call the car or how they classify it, once cannot escape the sheer power and design that is impressed upon us by the creators of this machine. It is a mean machine for sure.

Question 15

Name this car!

What's that? A V10 engine with 645 horses powering it? That is pretty fun, for sure. Of course, that depends on the particular model one gets. This car has such an incredible range in price. The low end on this car is $100,000. What does the car top out at in price? $200,000. That is a huge gap. So one can only imagine how much more power there is from one model to the next and how many more features one could manage from the low end to the high end of this car. Either way, low or high with this car...they are both high end cars.

Question 16

Name this car!

This has got to be one of my favorite cars on this list. There is something about the sleek lines and the incredible power under the hood while still remaining a considerably luxurious ride. This car starts out just over the $200,000 price point and while that might seem pretty expensive, I think this is pretty cheap when one thinks about the brand name as well as the company that put the engine under the hood. This particular car, with clear thanks to the engine in it, can ride with the power of over 580 horses. Luxury and power indeed.

Question 17

Name this car!

This car, though it might not seem like it, actually has an electric mode. That being said, the electric mode on this car does not exactly last all that long. I think it might have something to do with the fact that this car can ride with the power of 1,500 horses. That is no slouch right there. Given that, the electric mode on this car only lasts a max of about 22 min. I guess that would be useful if the gas tank was completely empty but that is not a healthy thing to ever do to a car. Especially not one that's almost $2 million.

Question 18

Name this car!

This is actually one of the lower end machines of the high-end cars in this list. I mean, it is still quite a luxurious car in its own right but the price here does not reach anywhere near a million bucks. This car starts its price tag at about $45,000. This machine has the power of 310 horses and has a top speed of 140 mph. That's not all that bad for a car that is so cheap and is not, in any way a super or hypercar. Sure, it might take 5.8 seconds for this car to get from 0-60 mph but it's meant for comfort, not power.

Question 19

Name this car!

This might not seem like an incredibly powerful car by any stretch of the imagination. I mean, it is meant to fit more of the luxury angle of things but it does just so happen to have 400 horsepower and that is pretty decent for a car that does not at all look aerodynamic. Given that power under the hood, it takes only 4.8 seconds for this car to get from 0-60 mph. Sure, that's not a super fast time but it still is impressive for a car that looks this way. And no matter the power, the comfort inside is pretty on point.

Question 20

Name this car!

This car, though it may not look like it, can run with the power of 621 horses and has a twin turbo V12 engine sitting underneath the hood. That is quite a monster of a machine, especially considering the un-sporty look of this thing. It looks high-end, for sure, but I wouldn't consider this to be a sort of race car by any stretch of the imagination. Depending on which edition of this car one decides to get, the price starts at about $236,000 which is certainly not cheap but considering the power and the badge on it...there is a reason for the cost.

Question 21

Name this car!

Considering that this is a higher-end luxury car of a sort, it is actually fairly reasonably priced, I have to say. This thing starts out at about $46,000 for the base model but even the most expensive platform for this car only goes up to $75,000. Considering some of the prices of other cars in its class as well as just high-end cars in general, I have to say that this is a pretty cheap car. Not in quality, but certainly in price. And considering that this car runs with the power 410 horses, this is especially an affordable high-end car.

Question 22

Name this car!

$222,000 is the price tag on this mean machine. That being said, it does look like it was built for the military or at least based on military design of a kind. And this is no slouch, this car. It has a twin turbo V8 under the hood and it rides with an imposing 563 horses...well, that is the lesser version of this car. The actual power edition of this car houses a twin turbo V12 that rides with the power of 621 horses. This goes 0-60 mph in just 5.1 seconds. That's nutty for an SUV that is about 3 tons!

Question 23

Name this car!

This is a pretty popular car out there, I have to say. And there is a great swath of people who love nothing more than to have a Hemi engine kicking under the hood of this machine. This is one of those muscly cars that are certainly native to the U.S. The base price on this car is about $37,000 with a V8 that rides with the power of 455 horses. Not a bad start, I must say. That being said, there are definitely better and pricier editions of this car with a lot more power under the hood. And why not?

Question 24

Name this car!

This machine starts out with a price of about $46,000. Not too pricey a start for a high-end car, that's for sure. Anyone who is familiar with a Hemi engine and the juice it can provide a car may very well enjoy driving one of these cars, even if it's the size of a boat. Regardless, there is still 470 horsepower being pumped out of the Hemi which is not a bad deal for the price. Especially since this is essentially a Caddy for many thousands of dollars less. I had the fun of renting one of these before to drive to a gig. Lots of fun.

Question 25

Name this car!

This is actually a pretty surprising vehicle, I must say. This giant can seat eight people but still manages to run with the power of 450 horses and can push just over 100 mph making the 0-60 mph run in only 5.4 seconds. That is pretty incredible for a beast like this. This behemoth opens up on the market with a price tag of about $73,000 but can absolutely end up well over $100,000 should someone want the special wheelbase and all the extra odds and ends to play with. But if someone just wants some power and a lot of space, the base model is more than decent.

Question 26

Name this car!

This is my very favorite car on this whole entire list. Why? Well this car might be push a $70,000 price tag but this mean machine happens to boast the power of over 700 horses and that is nothing to joke about, for sure. This is actually, as it stands, to be the most powerful production car under this company's badge and while that might seem pretty incredible, it's not like this company hasn't been used to making some pretty powerful cars. This particular model of car has been in production since 1967 and has never seemed to have disappointed people who want a high-end muscle car.

Question 27

Name this car!

This is a pretty unreal car, for sure. There is something about it that is both nutty and really inviting. This is currently the fastest production car in the world. Well, not quite officially yet but everyone knows this to be true due to the tests (but more units must be sold before the tests can be counted). This car rides with the power of 1244 horses with a twin turbo V8 under the hood. There is a Spyder version of this car that goes as far as 1400 horsepower and there is now an F5 version coming out that is said to have 1600 horsepower!

Question 28

Name this car!

Here is quite the high-end car, for sure. This company does have a couple of lower end cars but even they sit at the higher end of low. However, those lower end cars do not share the V8 that this car has which gives it the grand power of 701 horses. That is no small number when talking about the power under the hood. Of course, having such power and such a sleek design does not come cheap at all. This is likely the highest end of this car company with a base price of $800,000 for this car. Of course, that being said, it takes no time to clear $1.2 million with the best edition of the car.

Question 29

Name this car!

This car is maybe one of the more boring-looking of the cars on the list but that does not make it any less high-end, that is for sure. And if there is anything one needs to show for proof of that, I will point right to the $375,000 starting point for the base model. Oh, and I should point out that this is just the money you can drop right off the bat in order to take the car home...after two years of ownership, the remaining $93,750 comes due to pay of the whole car. Not a cheap machine by any means.

Question 30

Name this car!

This is certainly not a cheap car by any stretch of the imagination. But I mean...look at this thing! This is not a boring car at all, and it certainly is a mean-looking machine at that. That being said...$2.2 million is still a ton of money that I don't think most people taking this quiz have in the bank account right now. That amount of cash will buy a car that has a V10 with the power of 570 horses. It's not the most powerful car here but it still can zoom from 0-60 mph in only 2.5 seconds. Impressive!

Question 31

Name this car!

Sure, it is a truck and not a car but it is certainly a high-end truck. Now, I know a lot of people prefer their high-end vehicles to be of foreign design and make but this is a good 'ol U.S. machine of pretty incredible power. It's surprising that this only has a V6 under the hood but it still pumps out a pretty impressive 450 horsepower to haul not only the truck itself but whatever load is in the flatbed. Of course, there is a base model that starts at $50,000 that only has about 375 horsepower (which still isn't too shabby).

Question 32

Name this car!

This car is an incredible piece of engineering, for sure. A quad-turbo W16 under the hood allows this car to ride with the incredible power of 1,500 horses! This is not a cheap car when it comes to gas mileage. Especially if it's opened up at top speed (the tank will drain in 10 minutes at top speed). And what is that speed? 261 mph is the incredible speed this thing hammers out at. This $3 million car (base price) is one of the fastest production cars in the world right now. If it wasn't for the Venom, it may very well be THE fastest.

Question 33

Name this car!

Sure, it's always interesting to see just how fast a car can go from 0-60 mph and this car does the trick in about 2.8 seconds. However, it is far more interesting when someone puts out the stat of how fast from 0-124 mph the car can go. This car does it in a staggering 7.1 seconds which is faster than most cars can get to 60 mph. With a top speed exceeding 217 mph, this is no low-end car, to be sure. What's under the hood? A V12 as well as an electric motor that put forth a combined power of 950 horses!

Question 34

Name this car!

This car is a classic, to be sure and definitely has a legacy behind it. It first came to market back in 1971. This might not be the fastest car on the list given its age and its design but it still does boast 380 horsepower which is not at all a low number when it comes to a car of that era, let alone a car from today. Given that this is a classic car as well as a powerful car there is no chance that it is a cheap car, for sure. This beauty will run someone around $500,000.

Question 35

Name this car!

This is a pretty sleek-looking roadster, I must say and given that as well as this car's brand name, it should be no surprise at all that the base price of this machine is $231,606. Not the most expensive on the list but by no means the cheapest either. The V8 that is under the hood of this car powers the machine with the force of 553 horses. Given that amount of power, it makes perfect sense that the car an run from 0-60 mph in only 3.6 seconds. Hitting 196 mph as a top speed is not a slow-moving low-end car at all.

Question 36

Name this car!

With a W-12 engine under the hood that pumps out 626 horsepower, this modern take on a pretty classic, luxurious and otherwise boring car runs over $200,000 and certainly has to be imported so it's not like the spending ends at that $200,000. Regardless, this pretty sweet machine is probably the best example of an alternate to the Continental. Sure, the GT is nice enough, but there is something about this model that makes it far more interesting and powerful and luxurious than previous editions and evolutions of this car that has been in production for decades. It's always nice to have something fresh.

Question 37

Name this car!

Just look at this machine. This is a mean machine to be sure. There is something so incredibly smooth and slick and just mean and powerful with about this car that it is no wonder the company feels it makes perfect sense to charge a whopping $300,000 to take this thing home. Of course, it is not just the look of the car that this cost is based on. The V8 in this car is kicking the machine into gear with the power of 661 horses. A power I'd love to be behind the wheel of. I'm sure many people here agree.

Question 38

Name this car!

This car really does have quite a range when it comes to the amount of money one might drop on it. this has to do with the variations and editions of the model that have varying degrees of power and other features. This car can run anywhere from $150,000 to $220,000. One of the editions that I am talking about here has the power of 340 horses running from a V6 that allows a 0-60 mph time of only 5.1 seconds. Of course, the bumped up version has 380 horsepower and can do the same distance run in only 4.8 seconds.

Question 39

Name this car!

This is one dark and mean-looking machine. I like that this version of the car does not have the staple red that typically goes with this particular car brand. Of course, to have a car like this it is not going to be at all cheap, that's for sure. The price tag of this machine sits just under $400,000 at $379,866! However, for that price, the owner ends up with a V12 under the hood and the power of 731 horses at their disposal. I think that is a pretty fair trade...but I am sad that I can't make that trade.

Question 40

Name this car!

The name of this $320,000 car was actually originally used for a car way back in the 1930. That is a pretty long time between name plates, that's for sure. This particular car is actually a rather special edition which is why the interesting gold and white color palate that is not typical of this machine. The V12 under the hood that powers the top speed of 186 mph and a 0-60 mph run of only 4.4 seconds is still the same though and certainly worth the money spent on this most luxurious of cars. The interior of this car is beautiful.

Question 41

Name this car!

This car is not something that people can even bring to the U.S. unfortunately, but we can always watch Top Gear to see updates about it and enjoy looking at it, that's for sure. This car happens to have a supercharged Toyota engine that pumps out the power of 250 horses and can power from 0-60 mph in only 3.8 seconds. Sure, it is not the fastest of the cars on this list but it is certainly one of the most interesting to look at and it is perhaps one of the more desirable simply because it is unlikely to be on the market State-side.

Question 42

Name this car!

This is certainly one of the more interesting cars on this list, without a doubt. What could possibly be the reason for this, one might ask? Well, the interesting thing about this car is that is has just about one horsepower to every one kilogram of material on the car. That is a pretty incredible stat which leaves this machine that has a heft of 1360 kilograms and 1341 horsepower. This is one powerful car, to be sure. For that power one will be dropping $1.5 million. That gives the driver a top speed of 273 mph and a pickup from 0-60 mph in only 2.8 seconds.

Question 43

Name this car!

This is by no means a cheap and low-end car. The design and color scheme doesn't quite fit the standard from this company but the power underneath this interesting coat is still very much a staple of this particular brand. What is powering this thing? A V8 with the force of 597 horses which allows a 0-60 mph run of only 3 seconds. It's not the fastest in terms of pickup but it still does boast a 199 mph top speed that I think everyone will agree is not slow. $300,000 later, I'm sure the owner of this machine will have a smile.

Question 44

Name this car!

This machine has a base price of about $214,000 but if anyone wants to take in any of the fun features and improvements that can come with this car, it is very easy to rack up that price to about $250,000. For this price and the luxurious look and included features of this car, there is a twin turbo V8 under the hood that was partially built by Audi and can pump out the power of 500 horses. That's not a bad bit of power, for sure. And with a top speed of 193 mph, I am willing to bet people would be satisfied with the ride.

Question 45

Name this car!

Well, this is certainly an interesting-looking car and thanks to that look as well as the history behind it, this machine is worth over $500,000. Not cheap, of course, but that is to be expected with a luxury car. Especially a luxury car that hearkens back to the notion of coach building which is how cars used to be designed and put out on the road. This is essentially a custom car that happens to have 444 horsepower that leads to a pretty decent top speed of 181 mph. That is not a bad push for such a unique car.

Question 46

Name this car!

Sure, this is a seemingly redneck-ish truck, I suppose, but do not think that this is not a high-end truck all the same. This is certainly one of the most high-end trucks out there. It can seat six people, it can haul an incredible amount of heft in the flatbed and via the trailer hitch. The big thing is what is under the hood and, unlike most of the other vehicles on this list, there is both a standard and a diesel option for this vehicle. The former has 385 horsepower and the latter has 450. And the price varies from a reasonable $40,000 up to over $50,000.

Question 47

Name this car!

There have only ever been 150 units of this particular car made in the world. And considering that each one runs about $3.2 million, it is really not surprising that there have not been more made. This is a very powerful, though very tiny car. I recall Jeremy Clarkson trying to get into this car while hosting The Grand Tour. It takes him quite some time to fit his frame past the car's frame. There is a monster V12 Cosworth in powering this mean machine and it manages to hammer out the power of 1,130 horses. This is not a weakling of a car, for sure.

Question 48

Name this car!

Alright, so this thing only has about 282 horsepower but that is hardly the matter here. This car is incredibly iconic thanks to the fact that this is the famed James Bond car from Thunderball and Goldfinger. The original car that was actually used in the filming of those movies was sold at auction for a staggering $4.6 million which I think lands this car at the very top for cost on this list. That being said, to have a model of the same that never made it onto the screen will only run someone about $450,000. A little bit of a difference.

Question 49

Name this car!

This car is fairly old. I think this may very well be the oldest of all the cars here on this list. Making its debut in 1957, this epic, classic and extremely high-end car ran with the power of 300 horses thanks to a V12 ready to launch this thing into high gear. While this was a high-end car back in its day, I have to say that it has become far more high-end since its debut. Thanks to its history in racing and in terms of just who has owned and driven this machine, it went out on the auction block and fetched $16.39 million! This is now, for sure, the most expensive car on this entire list.

Question 50

Name this car!

This is certainly one of the most luxurious of all the cars on this list and indeed of all the cars in the world. It has a decent amount of power but that is certainly not the main concern with this car. But, about the power of this machine, the V12 under the hood leads to the power of 453 horses which is not a shy amount of power, for sure. This thing has a decent pickup and decent power but I think most people who buy one of these would rather cruise around in luxury more than speed around in power.
