And they all have humble beginnings in the pages of comic books, where their ability to fly, use super powers or abnormal human abilities has had then endure the test of time.

They are so much a part of our culture, that some are icons in the world, noticeable by the symbol they have on their chest, or the technique they use to fight crime.
