Name As Many Harry Potter Characters In 2 Minutes And We'll Reveal Your House

Everybody loves Harry Potter, and whenever fans get to talking, one of the topics that comes up time and time again is which house we would be sorted into if we went to Hogwarts and put on the Sorting Hat in the Great Hall. Would we end up in Gryffindor, with the bravest witches and wizards (and Harry, Ron and Hermione themselves, of course)? Or are we more the type to be sorted into one of the other three houses… perhaps we are a total bookworm, and would be best suited to Ravenclaw, or a loyal and hard worker who belongs in Hufflepuff. Or perhaps, despite their reputation as a breeding ground for Dark witches and wizards, we have the cunning and ambition to earn a place in Slytherin.

There are many ways to tell which house would suit us best, and this is one of the simplest ones… testing your knowledge of Harry Potter characters! Starting with some of the most obvious, and working through to the lesser known witches and wizards of this world, the people that we remember will reveal a lot about where our focus lies… and which house we would be sorted into. See how many we can name!

Question 1

Who is this wizard with a scar?

If you can’t get this one, you might just be a muggle - and that means you don’t even get a Hogwarts house! Who is this main character, also known as the Boy Who Lived? He’s the central protagonist of the series, and it’s his adventures, friendships, and fights that the whole series revolves around. If you get stuck on this one, you may as well just give up and turn back now!

Question 2

Who is this brilliant witch?

This young witch is one of Harry’s best friends, and the Boy Who Lived would have been lost without her! Although she is of Muggle parentage (her parents were dentists), she is incredibly talented - and not all of that comes from her obsession with reading and studying. She’s also simply skilled, and manages to keep cool under pressure to boot. She’s a total bookworm, but a loyal and a truly brave friend as well.

Question 3

Who is this redhead?

The third of the so-called Golden Trio of the Harry Potter universe, this redhead is the youngest boy of the Weasley family, and Harry’s other best friend. He’s not always the most capable or studious wizard, but he is a good friend, and he is willing to brave all kinds of dangers (even spiders, which he absolutely hates!) to try and help Harry on his quest. He’s also the only one of the three that knows the wizarding world inside and out, and that is a huge help.

Question 4

Who are these twins?

These troublemakers are two of the most beloved characters in the Harry Potter universe - and with good reason! They are always looking for adventure and provide constant comic relief, even if that drives their mother (and their professors) completely crazy at times. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t talented or brave though, and they fight as hard as anyone else in the series - even if sometimes that means fighting the darkness with nothing more than laughter.

Question 5

Who is this wizard who offed Nagini?

This character undergoes one of the biggest transformations in the series, as he grows into his confidence and bravery. In the beginning, he is a slightly clumsy kid who keeps losing his pet toad and who doesn’t have any faith in his abilities, but by the end, he is leading the resistance at Hogwarts and is even able to stand up to the darkest wizard of all (Voldemort himself), using the sword of Gryffindor to get Nagini in the final battle.

Question 7

Who are these two thugs?

Wherever Draco Malfoy went, these two were never far behind. Neither were particularly smart, and they were both greedy, and were happy to act as Malfoy’s muscle - they barely even talk in the series, but just follow him around as a hulking presence - that Harry and Ron once turned into with the help of a little polyjuice potion. Just like with Fred and George, it’s hard to think of these two apart, they’re basically a package deal.

Question 8

Who is this Potions master?

Of all the teachers at Hogwarts, this has to be one of the most despised. He is Potions Master for most of the series (although he becomes the Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher in the end), and he’s known as a harsh teacher who favors his own students - and who has a particular vendetta against Harry Potter (largely because he had a grudge against Harry’s father when the two were students together). He’s got his fans, though, because he’s not all bad in the end…

Question 9

Who is this Dark witch?

Who is this house elf?

House elves have a much bigger part in the Harry Potter novels than they do in the movies - but this particular house elf still gets to make his appearance.
