Alright, here is the deal. I'm sure that not everyone taking this quiz is a man, so I'm sorry ahead of time for calling all these movies "manly"...but it's just basically all about giving those manly men a bit more of an ego...or boosting up those guys who just want to be more manly. This could even knock the manly men down a peg or two, depending on how they score. Not everyone likes to be called book smart, despite the many perks it has.
And that is the crux of this quiz, ladies and manly men, and all those in between. This whole quiz isn't just to see about who is the manliest of men based on the films they watch and can name. No, no. It is far more about what kind of smarts each and every quiz-taker here has. Maybe answering each film correct makes someone far more book smart because they've read up on all of this. Or maybe it makes them super street smart because they are the epitome of manliness.

This wicked film which is at the pinnacle of computer-generated graphics features one of the more popular Avengers of the whole team. He may not have been hanging around since the starts of The Avengers films, but that doesn't mean he hasn't captured crowds all over now. One might say he's caught them in his web.
What is this leather-film?
Sure, it has a leading lady, but it is certainly a manly film. For some, because they get to watch Kate Beckinsale doing her thing and for others, because the action is just generally wicked. There aren't many films that have messed up the classic tales of vampires versus werewolves.
What is this spaced-out film?
To be fair, here is yet another film that features a leading lady, but it has become a classic cult favourite among many men. It also helped support a series that ended up as a quadrilogy which has sold incredible numbers. It even eventually led to some pretty strange creature mashup movies...for whatever reason that is.
What buddy cop film is this?
This is probably one of the most (if not the most) hilarious buddy cops films out there. It certain is not in the style of Lethal Weapon or Rush Hour, but it has its own flavor that I think everyone should love. Maybe a bit graphic at times, this film has all the right amount of ridiculous as well as reasoned out plot points that come together by the end!
What is this bizarre film?
This is one of the best films in the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe collection. At least so far as I think about their films. Benedict Cumberbatch plays a man who learns how to shape reality and play throughout dimensions in order to achieve his ends. At certain points, he can even play with time itself (Which I would totally love to do).
What horror movie did young Johnny Depp debut in?
The lead character of this horror movie series is one of the most iconic characters in all of horror so it really should not be a difficult question to answer here. I mean, there is the added bonus of getting at least part of this guy's name. That's got to count for something, right? That, along with the claw-clad hand and the snap-brim hat...there is just no way anyone gets this one wrong...right?
What is this war epic called?
The man depicted here is referred to as Robert The Bruce. That is probably the biggest clue anyone is like to get other than the fact that when this movie came out, it was delivered over the course of two VHS tapes. That made it a pretty long war movie. Well, there was some actual history, and some attempts of romance in there too...and then the usual sort of Mel Gibson stuff.
Who is this Superhero?
This should be trivially easy because not only does pretty well everyone in the developed world know who this character is but also the name of this superhero character also just happens to be the name of the film as well. I think that might make for an easy question. One that is pretty star-spangled awesome, if you ask me.

On the surface of things, this should be a pretty easy question to answer. I mean, it seems clear to me here that Batman is fighting one of his infamous villains from that giant catalogue of Batman baddies. So, at least everyone knows that it is a Batman movie. But who knows exactly which one it is? There are maybe just a few of them after all.

That is what I called it. I called it a space western. It really is. At least the first few installments of this franchise are. It changes once some of the newer episodes come about. Anyway, to look at the photo here, we should be able to tell (as is the only hint everyone gets) that this is a Star Wars film. Now get those thinking caps on to claim the right one.

Oh, come on now. This should be easy. Well, it should be but it might not be as easy as everyone thinks. I mean, this mask represents a certain character that isn't even seen in the original film (at least not until the canoe bit at the very end). Which installment of this franchise does the mask first appear in? That's the right movie here.

Well, as covert as can be when a film is based on a video game that leans for people to be stealthy but certain gives players the choice to be loud from time to time. This might be one of the few Timothy Olyphant films that I actually have not seen, but in terms of appearance, he still seems to really pull the performance off well.

It is really not like there are too many of these particular films. There are only four...so far as I can recall. And yes, this is one of the Indiana Jones films. But which is it? I have to admit here that I think this is simply one of the best films and franchises to have come from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is just done so well with such a great actor at the helm...it is no wonder he makes so much more than everyone else in The Avengers. To be fair, without this first foray into the film franchises, the rest would not have existed.

Alright, so there was once a made-for-tv two-part series based on the Stephen King book for this story. It was good for its time. Tim Curry made a great villain. That being said, the latest rendition of this tale, with full reign of graphics and language really has stpped up the game of this story. It was well done and wonderfully creepy as well.

There are very few films of this magnitude out there in the world today. And, as we all should know here, there is only one ring to rule them all. Oh, Russell Crowe. e is a pretty good actor but it is strange to see him in such an odd adaptation of this typically tame story. The story goes: God doesn't like what he sees, God commands a boat, God starts flood, God stops flood, inhabitants of the boat repopulate Earth. That's about it. But this film really pushes that story to a degree some people really don't like.

Technically, this is actually also a war movie, of sorts. I don't mean that it is full of battle scenes. It certainly is not. But it takes place in a time that really will forever leave a black splotch on our human history. That being said, Del Toro really gives a strange and creepy view of the fantasy leading to the other side that a little girl experiences.

It is true, this is a remake of a classic film. I am not usually one for remakes, I'll be totally honest, but I really could not source a very good quality photo for the original (I guess the 80s had poorer quality photography...) so this is what we get. At any rate, I have not seen this film but I have heard mixed reviews for sure. In terms of the premise...there really is not much that could be made a mess of.

And no, in case there are some thinking this is John Bender from The Breakfast Club, that is not the right answer to this question. Here is a film that maybe should not have been made but that is only because the very first two installments of this franchise were so well done that it is hard to really consider any of the others. But everyone loves to watch more about Sky Net and see what robotic creations they can come up with to get rid of us all. So...people keep making more of these movies.

I am only partially kidding and making a bit of a joke myself at the expense of the main villain of this movie. He is a clown after all...or at least looks like a scary clown, for sure. He can also do some pretty fantastic tricks, like making a pencil disappear. Anyway, this is one of the darker installments of this film franchise. And it is too bad for the actor who played that villain...

This is probably one of the craziest action films ever created. Why? Well, take a cast of epic action heroes from the 70s straight through to the 90s, bundle them all up together, give them really big guns to play with and make them do silly stunts that actually end up really injuring the actors, add in a silly story, and that is this film.

This is actually a fairly new movie starring Jason Statham. I have to be honest when I say that I definitely went to theatres to check this film out and it was actually much better than I thought it might be. I thought it was going to be very B-movie styled. But it really poked at itself and made for a pretty enjoyable and ancient shark film.

This film actually has a lot more to do with philosophy than I think a lot of people realize. They just love watching the intense action sequences, of which there are many, but the solid story structure of this film is pretty wonderful. It loses the plot through the sequels, but that doesn't change the fact that this was a game-changing film.

I said it. This is a remake. It is actually not all that bad. It doesn't fully have the same characters or the same ending as the original though and that makes for a much better watch. And, as it happens, the original film of this title is simply a western knock off of a Japanese film that was shot in black and white...and is too many hours long.

Well, look at what we have here. This is essentially Detective Comics' answer to the Marvel equivalent of this team. A big group of the best superheroes they can muster in order to fight off some incredible evil. It's almost like Marvel has already made three or four of these sorts of films. I don't blame DC for trying to catch up...but it is going to be an uphill struggle.

Look at that group of people standing there. That is, essentially, the best of the best (and sometimes worst) action films to have ever hit the big screen (or gone straight to video) from the 70s to the 90s. There could definitely be some crazy antics for this group to get up if they really tried. And even especially if they don't really try! This is the largest group they've had yet.

At any rate, exposing himself to gamma radiation was probably not the smartest thing he could have ever done. He might be a doctor, but that obviously didn't make him a genius. But now The Avengers get a great weapon out of him.

This is probably one of the scariest roles I have ever seen Leonardo DiCaprio play in my entire life (and that includes his work in Titanic). This film really shows the underbelly of what some financial freaks can get into and have gotten into in life on the right side of wealth. That being said, it still is a well-recieved film, all things considered.

Who could possibly deny the power of the gods? I mean, there are people who don't believe in them whatsoever but in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at the very least, we know that they exist and that they have incredible powers that we surely wish they would use more of, more of the time. Either way, this was one of the first franchises for the MCU.

This is probably one of the best animated films out there. Or at least it is one of the best from the past 15 years. Hitting the big screens back in July of 2007, everyone here better believe that I went opening night to see this in cinema. It was hilarious. It was everything expected of a show that was probably on its way to ending the series...but now they've been going for just shy of 30 years!

This is probably one of the more interesting and certainly the most stylized war movies to have come out in the past 20 years. That isn't me saying it is the best or most accurate. It is certainly neither of those. But everyone loves Gerard Butler, so it does well enough. Better than the sequel anyway. This ancient war film is pretty epic though.

Now, please do not take that phrasing the wrong way. This is by no means a horror film. It just happens to be a pretty scary film. I mean, imagine having started over. A new life, a new wife, a young son, and the world ahead...and then imagine the past coming back and everything that is loved is put to the test. It's got a happy ending...sort of.

Well, this is certainly one of the more popular installments of this series, for sure. It made it big at the box office...and so it should have. It was the beginning of a new actor playing that iconic role. And Daniel Craig brought a certain roughness to this otherwise suave character that made him all the more believable. A very well-done film, all in all.

Oh, come on now. There is just no way that anyway could possibly get this answer wrong...right? I mean, this logo is all too iconic for all quiz-takers here to not be scoring a free one. Some quiz-takers may not actually know this, but this film starring Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie is actually a remake of a classic film from the 70s. That being said, the main car, Eleanor, is a totally different car in the original film. And I have to say that the updated car is far nicer...even if the movie is a corny remake.

Starring the amazing Donnie Yen playing the role of a great teacher of martial arts, we are thrust into occupied China in the 1930s where martial artists are pitted against groups of Japanese fighters in order to gain food. This is probably one of the greatest action films of all time. It is at least one of the greatest Keanu Reeves films of all time. It is the perfect mix for him. There is not all that much dialogue, but there is more than enough action to keep the story moving and the combat is fantastic. It is amazing how very efficient Reeves is when it comes to dispatching villains.

Alright, there have been far too many Mission: Impossible movies, in my opinion, but everyone loves to watch Tom Cruise repel from whatever heights he sees fit and he is a great action star so it continues to work. That being said, the first one is still the best. At any rate, here is a hint, this is not the first M.I. movie to have come out.

This is certainly a great film that inspired a great franchise. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker team up to be two of the most hilarious cops in the film industry. There is something about the way in which they mix their fighting and cultural styles that really plays well for a comedic audience. Of course, it helps that they are both funny individually already.

Oh, who does not love to watch Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson do his thing in film after film of kicking some serious butt? I mean...it is a lot better than watching wrestling every week, that's for sure. Now, to be fair, this was near the beginning of his acting career...and it wasn't all that great a film, but it did capitalize on his fame, and the previous Brendan Fraser film The Rock appeared in.

This is probably one of the best films to have ever come out of the 90s. Almost without exception. This film starred Tom Robbins and Morgan Freeman in an incredible and emotional film of prison life and the ways in which a previous life can aid...and how difficult post-prison life can be...or how wealthy, depending on whose life it is.
