Tangled is a 2010 Walt Disney film based on the story of Rapunzel. Rapunzel is a princess from German folk lore and fairy tales. Rapunzel is one of the stories of the Brother's Grimm. The story has been adapted and made to be less mature over the years, which is especially true of the sunny happy Disney musical version. Over the years, one main thing that has always stayed true to the story of Rapunzel is that she is forced to live up in a tower all alone, and that she has really really really super long hair.

Tangled was deemed a successful movie with high commercial success as well as critically successful. The film won a number of awards such as Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 54th Grammy Awards. The film was also nominated for many awards such as Best Animated Feature Film and Best Song ("I See The Light") at the 68th annual Golden Globes Awards. Since this initial success, Tangled has gone on to become a popular franchise.
