Friends is timeless. It is one of the few shows people continue to watch no matter how outdated, or how many times they've seen it before. What is truly impressive apart from the fact that it ran successfully for 10 years, is the fact that people are still laughing! The show did not have the world's greatest actors (though some did cameo), nor was the story line anything more then that of your average 90's sitcom, yet still with the undeniable chemistry of the cast, and the hilarious writing, this series became one of the most watched t.v shows of all time.
