Get your popcorn, grab a drink, and prepare to take this ultimate quiz about B movies. What exactly is a B movie? The term would be created during the Golden Age of Hollywood (1917-1960) and be associated with low-budget productions. Many theaters would have double-features, and the B-movie would be the less-publicized feature that started first.

Double-features would lose steam by the 1950s but the term still stuck around Hollywood. The 1950s would have an explosion in cheap horror and sci-fi films, which would ultimately be called B-movies. By the 1960s, these movies would have a shorter running time and critics mostly ignored the projects. In the 1970s, exploitation films would be on the rise, breathing more life into the B-movie genre. As the decades went on, B-movies would become bigger in scale and be released alongside major motion pictures.

One thing that has always been a constant with B-movies is the fact that it has given lesser-known actors, writers, directors, and producers a chance to work and hone their craft. Today, a lot of these films have become cult classics. This quiz has B-movies from the 1950s all the way up to this decade. Do you think you have the movie knowledge to do well on this test?

Good luck.
