The Office is a hilarious sitcom shot in a "mockumentary" style, which is meant to simulate the look and feel of a real documentary. The series was an adaptation of a BBC show of the same name. It premiered on NBC on March 24, 2005, and ran for nine seasons until May 16, 2013. The show received critical acclaim and won four Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2006. It remains a fan favorite even though it has been years since it ended.

The show is based in the small town of Scranton, Pennslyvania at the paper company Dunder Mifflin. The Scranton branch is run by clueless manager Michael Scott (from season one to season seven). The employees are subjected to his zany personality and management style - but the workers are pretty wacky themselves.

There is Dwight Schrute, a paper salesman with an incredibly unique personality. His fellow salesman, Jim Halpert, spends all day pranking him and flirting with the receptionist - Pam Beesly.
