If You Can Get 100% On This Disney Villain Quiz You May Be A Little Evil

It's probably been too long since you last watched a Disney animated movie, right? So many of our favorite classics came out so long ago, but were such a huge part of our childhoods. You know what else was a huge part of our childhoods? Disney villains. Created specifically to look and sound scary, these often magical villains struck fear in kids all over the world. We had villains after riches, power, and just plain egotistical and bitter villains. They made the lives of our favorite heroes so difficult, but they also made the payoff at the end of the movie that much better.

With a bit of time, you start to realize that some of these villains were actually pretty funny and clumsy. They're even kind of human, if you really consider it. Who knows, some of us might even identify with a few of them now! We've designed this quiz to test your Disney villain knowledge. If you think you've got all their names down, their motives and their worst tricks, this is for you! So if you do well on this quiz, you might just identify with them a little too much...or you just really know your Disney movies!

Question 1

What's this guy's name?

Alright, let's start easy here. Take it way back to your childhood to Peter Pan. As children, all we ever wanted to do was grow up, so it was difficult to understand why Peter Pan wanted to stay a child. The grass is always greener on the other side, I guess! In his adventures with the Lost Boys, Peter Pan must constantly face the threats of this scary villain, who dreams of feeding his enemies to a crocodile, nothing less!

Question 2

How does Captain Hook try to get kill Peter Pan?

Disney movies are really terrifying, on the down-low. They're kids movies, but the death threats and fighting are commonplace among the villains. Captain Hook is no exception. We all know that he wants revenge on Peter Pan for chopping his hand off and feeding it to the crocodile - which is why he now has a hook instead, and where he gets his name. But can you remember how this nasty guy tries to thwart Peter Pan once and for all?

Question 3

What's this crazy lady's name?

This is another easy one for you! Seriously, she's easily one of the most iconic Disney Villains to ever hit our screens. She's a glamorous, rich lady from London, married to a man who she expresses little regard for. She's also known for being constantly cold, her extravagant style and makeup, and her interesting choice of furs and hair color (half black, half white). But what's worse is her obsession with capturing and mistreating the cutest, most innocent little dalmatians.

Question 4

What does Cruella de Vil want the dalmatians for?

Every movie needs a villain, or some sort of conflict, we'll give Disney that. But Cruella's intentions for the 101 dalmatian puppies are just terrifyingly sadistic. Seriously, who wrote this character? It's one thing to make her look terrifying, with her odd hair, red lips and pointy shoes, or to make her uncomfortably cold, but it's a completely different ball game when the movie's plot revolves around overcoming what Cruella wants to do to the puppies. Come on, Cruella, dogs are angels on earth!

Question 5

What's this villain's name?

Getting a little more difficult now, and moving on to the Princess and the Frog! This Disney movie is much more recent, but it's super important. Tiana was indeed Disney's first black princess, and it was about time given how many other princesses made their debut before her. This villain is known for his voodoo and magical powers - something characteristic of New Orleans' history. He's quite a jazzy character, but he's also really trippy and scary. Black magic will do that to a person.

Question 6

What kind of sidekick does Dr. Facilier have?

Disney stays true to its form and its winning formula, and it works every time. Every villain needs a sidekick, just as every hero or heroine needs theirs! In The Princess and the Frog, Tiana and Naveen are accompanied by an alligator and a firefly, both of whom are native to Louisiana and proudly wear their Cajun heritage. Dr. Facilier is constantly accompanied by this scary and mysterious sidekick who not only adds to his evil aura, but helps him with his schemes.

Question 7

What's the name of this annoying character?

Really, though, there's no other way to refer to this guy. Plain and simple, he's super annoying. He can't take no for an answer, is really disrespectful to everyone around him, and is so pretentious. This character is known for thinking he's the most handsome, strongest, special person in his little French town. He's also known for being repeatedly turned down by the only girl he's ever been after. Can you blame her? Pining for that long isn't cute at all.

Question 8

What does Gaston threaten to do to Belle's father?

Dang, for someone who really wants to marry Belle, Gaston sure has no idea how to go about winning her favor. Far from being in her good graces to begin with, Gaston is consistently hostile and threatening to Belle and her father in his attempts to win her hand in marriage. Of course, none of this works, because Maurice, Belle's father, would rather die than see his daughter unhappy. However, Gaston threatens something really serious in his last bid to get Belle.

Question 9

What weapon does Gaston usually carry?

This is a bit of a tricky one, but we had to throw you a curve ball! And no, you won't get any clues from the picture. Gaston is a hunter and a very active man, so he's always got a weapon on him just in case a hare, deer (or beast) runs by. You gotta assert your dominance, am I right? Gaston uses this weapon in his fight against the beast, so he's well known for carrying it around.

Question 10

What's this fiery dude's name?

Now we're getting to the fun stuff! This one might be easy, but we couldn't have a Disney villain quiz without him. Seriously, he's probably the funniest Disney villain ever. He's known for being pretty morbid and pessimistic, you know, what with him being king of the dead and all. When he gets angry (which is a lot) his hair explodes into huge flames. Guess you could say he's a pretty fiery guy, huh? Get it? Cause his hair is made of fire!

Question 11

What's Hades' relationship to Hercules?

Greek mythology is weird. Gods have extra-marital relationships all the time, have hundreds of random demi-god kids, and also literally hate the crap out of each other even though most of them are related. Even though Disney's Hercules is very, very loosely adapted from the Greek myths about Hercules (Heracles in Greek) himself, this movie keeps with that tradition. You'd think that Hades would have a little more sympathy for the kid, given that Hercules was initially a god just like him.

Question 12

What does Hades do to Hercules when he's a baby?

Right, so now that we've got all of the family stuff out of the way - yes, Hades is Hercules's uncle, since Zeus (Hercules's father) is his very own brother - we can continue with Hades' psycho tirades. Obviously, when you're god of the underworld, you want in on Olympus. That's right, Hades dwells under the earth and not in the dreamy cloud city like the rest of the gods. So, naturally, he needs to ruin Zeus's life. Can you remember how?

Question 13

What's this villain's name?

Anyone noticing a bit of a trend, here...like, all the villains are guys, what's up with that? Anyways, this weird dude, like so many of the villains before and after him, is known for his greed and obsession with wealth and status. He goes after it by using others, because every good villain needs to be manipulative. His native land is the fictional city of Agrabah, and he is known as a sorcerer and adviser to the sultan, Jasmine's father.

Question 14

Who is Jafar's sidekick?

Again, with every villain comes a slightly less evil (but totally whipped) sidekick. This is really the case for Jafar's minion, who gets frustrated really fast, but also loves gold and wealth. He's really sarcastic, which nicely contrasts his master's constant scheming and serious demeanor. Still, we can't help but feel like he's not actually all that bad, but is just really indebted to Jafar. I mean, Jafar has to have some dirt on him to have that kind of ownership over him!

Question 15

Remember her name?

I'm going to be completely honest, here, I totally forgot what this woman's name was until very recently. No one even really says her name in the movie, so this one might be tricky. She's Cinderella's step mother, and treats her very poorly, making her do all the chores while her two ugly daughters enjoy all the riches and luxuries of life. Even though it's Cinderella's father's house, and technically her inheritance, her step mother doesn't let her touch an inch of it.

Question 16

Where does Lady Tremaine lock Cinderella?

So Prince Charming is going around his entire kingdom trying to find the girl he danced with at the ball and who lost a glass slipper. First of all, he saw her face, so you'd think he'd at least narrow it down to the blondes. Anyways, he shows up to Lady Tremaine's house, who now knows Cinderella was the Prince's mystery girl, decides to lock her away in a room to marry off one of her daughters to the Prince...as though he wouldn't notice that they look completely different than the girl he danced with.

Question 17

Remember who she is?

This terrifying lady first hit our screens in Sleeping Beauty all the way back in 1959. She's not just any villain, she's one of the most classic, iconic villains Disney has ever given us. Her horns, pale green skin, and dark robes say enough about her, really. Just by looking at her, you know she's bad news. She's also a witch, and is really into using black magic to ruin anything that resembles happiness even the tiniest bit. Gotta love her!

Question 18

What animal does Melficent transform into?

This is probably what makes Maleficent a bit scarier than most other villains. Not only is she a witch with immeasurable powers and a terrifyingly dark spirit, she also has the power to transform into a different animal. As if being the scary dark witch she is wasn't enough. She notably turns into this animal when Prince Phillip is making his way to the castle to save Aurora with true love's kiss. Needless to say, the battle is pretty intense.

Question 19

How old will Aurora be when the curse sets in?

Don't we all love a petty revenge story? Maleficent definitely outdid every petty or vengeful act by showing up to Aurora's christening and using her powers for pure evil. Because she wasn't invited to the event, but literally everyone else was, Maleficent decides to give the baby princess a "gift". After saying she won't harm the child, she puts a curse on her that on a certain birthday, she'll prick her finger and die. Thankfully, one of the fairies weakens the curse from death to sleep, but talk about pettiness, right?

Question 20

Who is this?

Uh oh, might have spoken too soon by saying most of the Disney villains are men. These last few questions have sure dispelled that myth. This villain is a newer addition to the evil club, having been introduced to us in the movie Tangled, but she's got really questionable intentions as well. Not only is she super emotionally abusive, she literally kidnapped Rapunzel, imprisoned her in a tower, and used her hair for eternal youth, all while pretending to be Rapunzel's mother.

Question 21

What is the source of the power that keeps Gothel young?

So, this whole thing started because Mother Gothel was initially stealing something that would keep her young forever. This thing has the healing powers that can keep her alive, but also had the powers needed to save Rapunzel's mother when she got sick. This means that when Rapunzel was born, she got the same power in her hair. Because there was only one of this thing that Gothel was relying on, she kind of had to kidnap Rapunzel. Or, at least that was her reasoning.

Question 22

Who is this?

We love a good narcissist, don't we? Possibly the dumbest reason to want to take someone down is because they're younger and fairer than you, but this monarch just couldn't take the competition. Guess the anti-aging creams just weren't cutting it for her. When it comes to light that Snow White is coming of age and is more beautiful than the villain herself, she takes matters into her own hands to try and have Snow White killed. Sounds a bit extreme, but oh well.

Question 23

What magical instrument does the Evil Queen communicate with?

This one is just a giveaway, but it's too big a part of the movie and the Evil Queen's character to leave it out. This magical instrument (again, magic is normal because the Evil Queen also has powers) tells her every day that she is the fairest in all of the land. Well, until Snow White enters the picture. Basically, the queen is not only evil, but is also lonely psychopath whose only friend is a household object. Oh, dear.

Question 24

How does the Evil Queen manage to kill Snow White?

Well, she kind of manages to kill her. It's more of a deep sleep, kind of like Sleeping Beauty, that only true love's kiss can break. The Evil Queen first tried to kill Snow White by sending the infamous huntsman after her with a knife and a box in which to bring back her heart. Poor man didn't have the heart to do it (no pun intended), and let Snow White get away. So, the Queen had to take matters into her own hands.

Question 25

Remember this guy?

Thank goodness, we're back to the slightly less threatening villains. This guy definitely isn't nice, he's very racist, and wants to colonize Native American land. That's pretty problematic as it is, but it's hard to take him seriously what with his weak, clumsy demeanor and his lack of military prowess. He's super wealthy and goes everywhere with his pug (were pugs even a thing that long ago?) trying to further the British imperial mandate. Honestly, he's just kind of pathetic.

Question 26

What is Ratcliffe after?

Every villain is motivated by some sort of greed, and the ugly, rude Ratcliffe is no exception. Despite already being a governor and having considerable wealth and status, this Disney villain is still after more. He wants to completely conquer the Powhatans, Pocahontas's tribe, because he believes they are in the way of his goals. This leads to a lot of conflict in the movie, including some death and accidental shooting of his own comrades. Guess he's evil, not efficient!

Question 27

What's this lion's name?

Okay, okay, I know I've said this a few times...but seriously, this villain might actually be the worst. We get a lot of Disney villains who try to kill protagonists or heroes, but they usually fail in their attempts. Scar is an exception to that, as he actually succeeds. It serves the plot, of course, but it makes him one of the worst Disney characters ever. Plus, his look, his voice, where he lives...it just all gives you bad vibes.

Question 28

Can you remember how Scar kills Mufasa?

Talk about having a bad family dynamic. Imagine hating your own brother so much that you'd kill him to ruin your own nephew's life and drive him out of his own pride. I mean, it was kind of genius, because Simba was so terrified he gave up his kingship, which gave Scar all the power he was after in the first place. Let's be real, though, no Disney scene will ever hit home as hard as Mufasa's death scene. It's heart wrenching.

Question 29

Who assists Scar?

Because Scar is so evil, he doesn't just get one sidekick. He gets three! These three characters don't have any real lines (or any coherent ones, anyways), and they're known for their terrifying idiocy. Seriously, it's a wonder they ever manage to do what Scar asks of them, because they're that stupid. They do provide some comic relief, however, which is usually the job of a sidekick. Needless to say, it's an odd pairing between these three animals and Scar.

Question 30

Who is this Hun?

No, not Hun as in honey. I mean, who knows, he might be someone's 'hun'. But he's definitely no bae to us! If his looks don't already give it away, this guy is not good news. Don't let his army's small horses fool you, cause he puts up a good fight. He's the reason why Mulan ends up joining the army in her father's place, and also the reason China is at risk. And just when you think he's taken care of, he makes a surprise comeback!

Question 31

What kind of pet does Shan Yu have?

Shan Yu is a bit more ominous and mysterious than your typical Disney character. First of all, there's literally nothing funny about him. He's 100%, pure and unrefined intensity. He doesn't speak much, doesn't crack a single joke, and doesn't have a talking sidekick to bring some comedy to his character. He just kind of sneaks up on people and tries to kill them with the help of his army. He's also always assisted by an equally mysterious and dark pet.

Question 32

What is special about Ursula?

Let's be honest, no one needs to ask what her name is. She's a household name. Not only does she have powers and practice black magic, Ursula is also highly exploitative and manipulative. She's also totally greedy for wealth and status, which is unsurprising at this point. But Ursula isn't just any mermaid. In fact, she might not qualify as a mermaid at all. Maybe that's why she was initially rejected from the rest of the mermaid community - or maybe it's just because she's bitter and mean.

Question 33

What does Ursula take from Ariel in return for legs?

Ah, young love. It makes people do the craziest things. For Ariel, that meant literally anything. Once she laid eyes on Prince Eric, she knew he was the one for her. The problem was she was a mermaid, and he was human - so she went to Ursula to ask to be turned human. Anything for legs, am I right? Of course, no such transformation would ever be free of charge, especially not with Ursula. What did she take in from Ariel in return for the spell?

Question 34

Who is this?

We're on to our last villain for the quiz. The Emperor's New Groove was probably one of the most underrated and also one of the funniest Disney movies to ever hit our screens. Similarly, this villain is super underrated and hilarious. She almost always inadvertently messes up, is a bit clumsy, but still has all that scary ambition needed to be a villain. Of course, like all her villain colleagues, she's driven by the quest for wealth and royal power.

Question 35

Who does Yzma order to get rid of Kuzco?

Yzma's desire to overthrow Kuzco and ruin his life stems from the fact that he fired her from her position as adviser. She decides, with her trusty (but stupid) sidekick to get rid of him. Their initial plan is to invite him to dinner, where they will feed him a potion. They mess up, and give him a potion that turns him into a llama instead. Panicking, they knock him out cold, put him in a bag, and decide to get rid of him differently.
