It is a very powerful message and it resonates within every episode and season of the show. At the beginning, Meredith Grey explains that she's screwed... There is no denying that she is right. The entire show is gut wrenching, but we love it anyway! You may often find yourself wondering what it would be like to be an intern at Seattle Grace Hospital. Would you redo the Intern Examination if you failed it?
The Intern Exam is a very important part of becoming a doctor. It doesn't help if you can pass the practicals but none of the theory. You need to be great in both of these aspects in order to succeed. George and Alex both had to retake exams too.
What specialty would you prefer?
Medicine has many different specialties to suit every taste. You can consider neurosurgery, pediatrics, urology, cardiology or even plastic surgery! Each of these has their own advantages and disadvantages, we guess it just depends what you prefer.
Would you ever sleep with your boss?
Meredith was just a girl in a bar, and Derek was just a guy in a bar. They had no idea that the very next day, they'd be working together as Attending and Intern. They had no idea that they would be working together, let alone fall deeply in love and have cute little babies together!

Doctors do not work in isolation. They need to work in a team which often consists of various skill types. They have other doctors, both senior and junior and even nurses working on the same team together. They cannot do a procedure in isolation so they have to be a team player.

You may find yourself wanting to be a Grey's Anatomy intern for just a moment. Their lives look like fun and they look so exciting too! There are many interns for you to chose from, so if you had the option to be any intern in the series, who would you prefer to be?
How do you feel about doing scut work?
Scut work is most often the tedious tasks that are done in the ER. These are things like anal exams or sutures. No one likes to sit around doing these all day. Some of these doctors even fight one another for patients when a cool case comes through the door!
Which hospital would you rather work at?
Seattle Grace Hospital changed names and hands a few times over the last few years. With the new names came new expectations and standards. There was also a merger where two hospitals basically became one. Each hospital had its own vibe as well.
Who would you rather share your locker with?
The interns share a locker room and they all have to try and get along. There isn't much space in there, so it's best to just come to terms with the fact that you may step on one another's toes. If you were forced to share your locker with another intern, who would it be?
In your opinion, how many beds should a hospital have?
Hospitals come in all shapes and sizes. There are some really big hospitals, and then there are some smaller ones. Some of them don't have ERs while others do. In your opinion, how many hospital beds does your ideal hospital have? There is no correct or incorrect answer.
Would you ever use the '2-Challenge' rule?
In Grey's Anatomy, the 2-Challenge Rule is is basically where two or more surgeons can challenge a treatment decision which is being done by another surgeon. If a second surgeon challenges you, then you need to stop what you are doing. Would you ever do this?
What color scrubs would you like to wear?
We have seen that the surgeons in Grey's Anatomy all wear scrubs which are a different shade of blue. The higher your rank, the darker the shade. Some specialties, like gynecology and obstetrics wear pink scrubs. What color scrubs would you like to wear as an intern?
Do you know what a stethoscope is?
This is one of the most basic tools that any medical professional will need on a daily basis. It is used to help diagnose specific conditions or even injuries. As an intern you will have to get to know what this is and you may even need to buy your own to use.
Can you handle the sight of blood?
If you want to be a doctor you are never going to escape this. There will always be a red goo that will make it's way to the surface. In the medical profession you need to take precautions to protect yourself and your patient's too. If you can't cope well with blood then maybe this isn't for you...

In the first episode of season one, we learn that some of the interns are way more competitive than others. Cristina is super competitive and loves to be on top of her game, while Meredith is the opposite and even offers to let Cristina scrub in in her place.

The on-call rooms in this hospital are used for everything except what they were actually designed for. There are things going down in there which should really only ever go down in your own bedroom - at home! Of course, this is why we love Grey's Anatomy...

This is a very popular theme in Grey's Anatomy. Every doctor wants to do the coolest surgery first. And when you are an intern, you want to do the coolest case and earn yourself some reputation too. Would you ever fight with your peers over a patient?

Everyone has their own preference of surgery. Luckily for us we get to see a little bit of everything in our favorite show. There really is something for every one. If you could choose a surgery that you would most like to do, which one would it be?
