Geeks used to be the least popular kids in school and college, and they used to be the butt of all jokes on sitcoms. But the times have now changed! It's not that everyone has woken up to realize exactly how endearing they are, but the world has now realized that they have so much more to offer and that their passion for comics, technology, and obscure films and movies eventually help them amount to something else in life. Though they're often the targets of bullies and other haters, geeks also have their own personality flaws. This makes them more relatable though.
A nerd tends to be more solitary and is usually an expert at something. They tend not to expect people to talk to them and spend much of their time perfecting something. You could say a nerd is driven by their personal work, while a geek is driven by their obsessions. Unlike geeks, nerds may actually be easier to befriend as long as you're willing to wait a bit, because their lack of social skills may mean things are awkward at first. Unlike other geeks, he's not a big fan of technology and even reads maps the old-fashioned way, which means he'd actually be a great travel buddy to someone that can see past his flaws.

Wes Gibbins is a studious law student in "How To Get Away With Murder." He's never had it easy in life and can come across as quiet and aloof, but he truly cares about people. It's no wonder everyone else calls him the "Puppy" and trusts him no matter what.

Raj is a bit awkward and even has a hard time talking to women. However, he is in touch with his feminine side and is known to be an adamant metrosexual. He's also very close to his family and enjoys playing Halo. Though he's a bit of an oddball, he's also quite patient.

Women who were girls in the 00s probably remember Michael Eckman as the AV club member that helps Cameron try to get Bianca. He starts out as a pompous character that some feel deserves to be made fun of, but he starts acting more authentically and we realize there's a nice guy underneath.
