Disney is one of the largest companies in the entire world. Most of their movies are beloved by people around the world as they usually tell some sort of unusual tale and help explain some of the most important lesson's that people of all ages need to learn. With that being said there are literally hundreds of Disney movies as they have been creating movies for decades and decades. Some of their biggest movies revolve around princesses who find themselves in not so glamorous situations. There are a decent amount of princesses so it may be hard to pinpoint your favorite because they all have redeeming qualities. Have you ever wondered what princess you are most like? The Lion King
The Lion King is one of Disney's trademark movies because it is beloved by so many even so long after it was originally released. The movie tells the story of Simba, a young lion cub who suffers an unimaginable lose right in front of his own eyes. He runs from his troubles for a bit but eventually finds his way back home and to his pride.
The Princess & The Frog
This princes movie is one of the newer ones that Disney has released. It tells the tale of Tiana a young girl who is only trying to make a ends meet while also achieving her dreams. She wants to open up her own restaurant in New Orleans but her plan takes a turn when she meets Prince Naveen who has been turned into a frog.
Peter Pan
This movie is definitely one for the dreamers. Peter Pan is a mischievous young boy who never grows old and can even fly! He flies into an unsuspecting girls room after his own crazy shadow and the two begin a wonderful adventure together. He tries to teach her that there is more to life then following the rules.
The Jungle Book
The Jungle Book is about Mowgli, a young boy who is raised in the jungle by a pack of wolves. He is orphaned when he is just a young boy and treated like all of the other animals in the jungle. Eventually he is threatened by the same animal that killed his father and he must leave the only home that he has ever known.
Lady And The Tramp
This Disney film follows a love story that is a bit different then others, a love story about two dogs. Lady is from a high class neighborhood and owned by two loving humans whereas Tramp is a street dog who never really had a home. They teach each other about things they never imagined they would.
Cinderella
Now speaking of Disney Princesses, this is probably one of the most known Disney Princesses in history. Cinderella was left in the care of her evil stepmother once her father was killed. As a result, she basically became the maid of the house and was stripped of anything that was "fun".
Frozen
Frozen was one of the newer movies that Disney has released and proved to be a smashing success from the moment that it hit the theaters. Elsa was born with powers that even she doesn't understand and as a result has remained hidden most of her life. When her parents die she is forced to accept the role as queen as well as rebuild her relationship with her younger sister, Anna.
Monsters Inc
Now this movie is a bit different then other Disney movies as it strays away from fairytales and happy endings. Mike and Sully are monsters who work at a company that bottles screams from children in order to power their city. They find themselves in deep trouble when one of those kids escapes and it set lose in a city full of monsters.
Alice In Wonderland
This movie is one of Disney's oldest films and follows Alice as she finds herself in quite the predicament. Her curiosity gets the best of her and when she follows a certain rabbit down a strange hole she finds herself in a place she never even knew existed. Along the way she meets some peculiar characters.
Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs
Snow White is an innocent young princess who is targeted by an evil witch who is extremely jealous of her. As a result, she orders her to be killed unaware that Snow White escaped and is living in a cottage in the forest. In the forest Snow White meets seven dwarfs who take her in and help her survive.
Beauty & The Beast
In this movie, Belle sacrifices herself in an attempt to save her father who was kidnapped by the beast. The beast, who is actually a prince, must find true love before the rose dies or else he will remain a beast forever. When Belle comes along he hopes this is it but she needs a bit of convincing.
Lilo & Stitch
Now this is another Disney movie that is a little bit out there. In this film, Lilo is a lonely girl who is desperate for a companion so her older sister brings her to the shelter to pick out her very own puppy. Lilo never does anything conventional and ends up choosing an alien instead of a dog.
Moana
This is the newest princess movie that Disney has released. Moana is the daughter of the chief of her tribe. When her tribe is in trouble she goes in search of a demi god who stole something a very long time ago. Along the way she discovers all of the strength she needs lies within herself.
Inside Out
This Disney movie tackles a bit of a bigger issue and delves into the feelings that we are all feelings inside. In this movie each "feeling" has a physical being inside our head and we get to see how each one interacts with each other. This movie kind of shows kids why they feel certain ways in a bit of a funny way.
101 Dalmatians
Now this Disney film is a little bit more fun then most but of course has the infamous vilIan, Cruella De Ville. Cruella wants to steal all of the dalmatian puppies that she can get her hands on in order to make herself the most magnificent fur coat. Little does she know that she picked the wrong puppies to mess with!
Bambi
Bambi is one of Disney's classic's. It follows around Bambi, a young deer who will one day take over the position as Great Prince of the Forest. He makes some great friends while he is growing up who help him navigate his way around. When his mother is killed by a hunter his father takes him in out of pity.
Cars
Cars, well its a pretty explanatory title. This film is about Lightning McQueen, a rookie racer who ties for first in the biggest race ever. When he is knocked off track while on his way to the tiebreaker he must figure out a way to get to where he needs to be in just a couple of days.
Dumbo
This movie is about a young circus elephant who cant seem to find his place anywhere. With the help of a trusty mouse and some determination on his part he becomes the star of the show and makes everyone wish they had given him a chance in the first place.
Tangled
Tangled features the story of Rapunzel in a less traditional manner. Rapunzel was kidnapped when she was just a baby by an evil witch who wanted to use her magical hair to stay young. Eventually Rapunzel gets sick of living in a tower and escapes only to find out that she is a long lost princess.
Aladdin
If there were ever two people who were not meant to be together then it was Jasmine and Aladdin. Jasmine was a princess who was meant to marry royalty whereas Aladdin was a street thieve who didn't have much to his name besides a monkey and magical lamp when he met and fell in love with this princess.
Tarzan
Tarzan did not have a normal childhood by any means. His parents were killed by an evil leopardess and he is rescued by a gorilla who recently lost her own child to the same animal. He is raised in the jungle amongst the other gorilla's. Tarzan is content until he meets Jane and a whole new world is introduced to him.
Wreck It Ralph
Wreck It Ralph is a fun movie to watch because it has a lot of comedic aspects inside the plot. Ralph is sick of being the bad guy in his video game and sets off on a journey to redeem himself. While on this journey he discovers glitches and things behind the scenes that he never imagined.
Toy Story
Now it is impossible to talk about Disney movies without at least bringing up Toy Story. This movie is about some toys that lead a secret life when they are not around their kid, Andy. They all love Andy and look forward to him playing with them even if the games are sometimes silly but Woody feels threatened as Andy's favorite when he gets a Buzz Lightyear.
The Fox & The Hound
This movie pairs an unlikely duo, a hunting dog and a domesticated fox. Their humans are not happy about them being friends and as they grow older they begin to realize why they shouldn't hang out together. Despite this they forever have a strong bond with one another.
Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo is about a father in desperate search of his missing son. It just so happens that this father and son are clown fish who live in the coral reef. When Nemo, the son, starts school he tries to impress his friends by swimming close to a boat but this leads to him being captured by humans. Now Marlin will not give up until he gets his son back.
