Every Disney Fan Should Be Able To Name These Classic Characters

Here is a quiz that should be pretty easy for those who actually do love to sit and watch Disney movies. I mean...there is nothing in this quiz to trick anyone. There is no secret answer to any of these questions. Essentially, the deal is this...if a quiz-taker has seen the movie in question, then there is every reason why I should believe them able to answer the question correctly.

That being said, there are movies new and old and classic within the questions of this quiz. That is just unavoidable, ultimately. I'll admit that there is probably more of an emphasis on the Renaissance era of Disney films but I am reasonably sure that everyone who would take a Disney quiz has seen The Lion King and Beauty And The Beast and The Little Mermaid.

Sure, there were many movies I could have added to this quiz, hands down, but I feel the following is a good representation of characters every single Disney fan should be able to name, and that is the most important part here. so, that being said, it's time to hand over your Disney World pass and let us know just who is who in this list of Disney characters!

Question 1

Name this character!

This is just one of the most perfect to start out with, I think. It's not a classic film by any means and it's not a part of the Renaissance, but it is part of a new era of sorts in the Disney company, and the character I'm looking for everyone to name it voiced by one of the best actors out there who could have hopped into this new and great digital era for Disney. Tom hanks voiced this character and did a wonderful job through three different films for the franchise. The Toy Story series is one for the books!

Question 2

Who is this pudgy bear?

Well, this could very well be what is called a no-brainer. What I mean by this is that it would take someone with no brain to still be able to get this question right! Even people who are not professed Disney fans should be more than easily capable of telling me just who this bear is. I mean, he's been all over the place. There have been so many animated films, there's a whole tv series, there were books before that and to top it all off, there was a film that came out all about the boy who initially came across him and his friends.

Question 3

Name this character!

This is one of my favorite characters when it comes to comic relief. in the Disney world. I mean, he is probably one of the intentionally funny characters out there and he is also pretty unintentionally funny as well. What I mean by that is even when he is in deep trouble or he is worried that everything is going to go wrong, he still manages to be funny about it while he is losing his mind. In addition to that, he is wonderfully defensive of his friends while still being concerned for his well-being do he'll take someone on and then very quickly realize what he did was a mistake....

Question 4

Name this character!

The wonderful thing about this character is that he is a wonderful thing. I know that sounds pretty ridiculous but that is the truth. And the only reason I know that is because that was a thing actually written for this very character to sing about himself. He might be a bit full of himself but he does have a good heart and he would do whatever he could to help his friends out, even if he is happy to help himself out along the way. The wonderful thing about this character is that he is the only one...and don't forget it.

Question 5

Name this princess!

I'll put my cards out on the table here when I say that this character is from a Disney film I have actually yet to see. And while I know that might sound like a travesty and that I could not possibly be a Disney fan then, that doesn't mean I do not know anything about her. I mean...how many people does anyone here know who have actually gone out and kissed frogs? Or even more, had that kiss actually count for something other than a bad day in the hospital? This character is actually one of the newest and more interesting additions to the Disney Princess lineup.

Question 6

Name this character!

Here is one of my favorite Disney characters, for sure. And he has been voiced by some of the greatest voices out there, make no mistake! The legendary Tony Jay was the voice for this character in the original animated film. Idris Elba voiced him for the live action/CG remake. And now, though under Warner Bros production, Benedict Cumberbatch is even getting a go at voicing this wonderfully villainous character. I think that there is something appealing about this cool cat because he is elusive but also extremely worrisome. He is slick, but he is still a villain and that is enough.

Question 7

Name this character!

Alright, here is one of the easiest characters to name on this quiz, for sure. There are only so many Disney movies that take place on the ocean floor and there are certainly not many films that happen to have a dancing crab in them, that is for sure. And I am pretty sure that only Disney has something like that (unless we're going to get into Spongebob films now as well). There is something wonderfully ridiculous about this character and I have to say that his comic relief in the film is actually very necessary...otherwise, it really is a sad film.

Question 8

Name this character!

Oh, here is yet another one of my favorite characters in the Disney world. I really do not know what it is about my love for villainous cats in Disney films but there is something that is just too wonderful about this one. I think it must also have to do with the voice actor, who actually happens to be one of my favorite actors out there also. Jeremy Irons voiced this character and if that is not quite enough to give away the answer to the question, then I really don't know how much of a Disney fan people may be here.

Question 9

Name this character!

Alright, here is one of my favorite characters who actually happens to not be a villain. There are not many of those for me but this character...I used to watch this character and his film every day when I was growing up. My parents would rent the VHS tape (that's right), and I would watch it over and over. I never could figure out why they wouldn't just buy it...it would be cheaper. At any rate, I still love this movie and this character has been remade countless times in many different cartoons and live actions films and tv shows and comics, and more!

Question 10

Name this character!

Oh, this has got to be an easy one. This character is from the newer age of Disney films. It's easy to tell that simply from the animation of the character. And that being said, there are only so many of the newer films that one can choose from so it must be pretty easy to sort through and choose the right answer. This character, like so many in Disney, is a classic fairy tale character, to be sure. Although the story that Disney runs with, as is often the case, is not quite true to the original tale. But it still is great.

Question 11

Name this big cat!

Alright, I don't want to know about the beautiful girl here, I want to know about the beautiful tiger lying there next to her. This is a pretty awesome rendition of these two characters, I have to say. I have to admit that I always thought it strange that this princess should have a pet tiger but this is also Disney and they will allow all sorts of animals to work together in harmony without danger. That doesn't mean that this big cat doesn't try and have a go with other people who might try and cause his closest friend harm through.

Question 12

Name this character!

This character is meant to be one of the stranger characters out there in the Disney universe and while it is true that he does look rather different than most human characters ever drawn up for the company, he is far from the strangest one out there...even in his own film. Now, all of that being said, this character is not exactly a Disney creation. Like most of the characters from the big name films, this character came from folklore of a type. Old stories passed down about a grotesque who lived in the tower of a very famous building.

Question 13

Name this character!

Ah, the other half of the great comedy duo from The Lion King. This character is something else, for sure. Not only does he have a big heart, but he also has a big sense of pride and anyone who tries to have a go at that sense of pride will certainly the consequences...often by way of this character charging out after whoever has insulted him. But, typically, his life is all about loving the world around him, finding things cute (including little lion cubs) and munching down on grubs and the like. Sounds mostly like a pretty sweet life.

Question 14

Name Pooh's little friend!

Alright, so we already know who that pudgy yellow bear is with the ill-fitting red shirt. Surely there is no one here who does not know just who that is. However, I am far more interesting in who that tiny little pink dude is lying next to the bear. I'd say he is one of the most iconic characters in the Disney universe. Sure, it's not like he gets out there much anymore but that doesn't stop him from being famous all the same. And it certainly does not bar people from know just who the character is. This is an easy one.

Question 15

Name this character!

Well, this beautiful princess is perhaps one of the coolest princesses in the Disney roster, even though she does live out in the desert. There is something about her stubbornness that just gets people and sort of ensures that they are taken with her. That being said, most people who are taken with her just want her for wealth or status or to have a pretty face nearby. But she is not interested in such things. She wants more out of life and while she does work still in the framework of her society (till the end of the film), she knows how to get her way.

Question 16

Name this fly boy!

This fly boy, as I like to call him, need only think of a happy thought and suddenly, he can take the to skies like a bird, or a plane...or Superman (but without being an alien and without being pretty well immortal). At any rate, this young guy is seemingly eternally young, unless people know the Robin Williams movie which features an aged version of this character who forgot all about his time in his fantasy world. Either way, this kid heads up The Lost Boys (not the vampires), and he loves nothing more than to take on the pirates!

Question 17

Name this character!

Alright, I have to say that I think this character is one of two of the most hilarious animal characters to provide comic relief in the human-based Disney movies out there. What I mean by that is that there are a number of Disney films that revolve around humans as opposed to talking animals. This character is from one such film and he is an incredibly funny animal addition that makes the film far more hilarious than it could possibly have been otherwise, for sure. There is just something about his expressions and the way he moves about to illustrate his point.

Question 18

Name this character!

Alright, there is no way that anyone here could possibly get this one wrong. I mean, even if there are Disney fans here who just don't like the film this character is from simply out of principle or because it was just too over hyped, there is still no excuse for not knowing this character. He has been pasted all over the world in all manner of stores. Not even just toy stores. I mean, most big box stores will have a stuffed toy or a poster or a puzzle or a shirt with this character on it. He's hard to avoid.

Question 19

Name this character!

Eddie Murphy voices this little character and that is enough for me to love this character, for sure. I mean, I realize that he eventually went and played for the other team when he went to voice the role of Donkey in Dreamworks' Shrek franchise (and I'm sure that made him much more money), but that does not diminish the hilarity of the role he played in this pretty awesome film. Who knew that it could be so funny to watch a dragon try so hard to become a part of the stars. and essentially take his rightful place with the gods?

Question 20

Name this character!

Oh, this character is one of the greats. I remember when this movie first came out in the 90s and I heard this character's voice. Wow! What a presence that this character commanded. Of course, if I had known then that it was the same person who voiced the role of Darth Vader, I would have completely understood the reasons why I felt the way I did. That's right, this character is voiced by non other than the legendary James Earl Jones and I have to say that he does a pretty fantastic job, even if he's not in the film all that long.

Question 21

Name this character!

Here is a very new character from a very new movie. But very new, I do mean that's it's been out a couple of years, but surely everyone here knew that and I'm going to venture to guess that even if not everyone here has seen the movie, they do, at the very least, know who this character is and what her significance is. Thankfully, for the quiz-takers here, I am only interested in who the character is. So, that being said, please just tell me the name of this very strong-willed and physically capable character. Sure, she's not as capable as The Rock, but still...

Question 22

Name this character!

Oh, now here is one of the most famous of all the character in the Disney world. Sure, she is not exactly the first or anything. That would probably go to a version of her husband or boyfriend or whatever he is. But that is neither here nor there. The important thing here is that everyone should be able to name this character and if they cannot then I really do not know how anyone could call themselves a Disney fan. I mean, this character goes back a very long way and is essentially one of the great figureheads of the company.

Question 23

Name this horse!

This horse is probably one of the top three most hilarious animal counterparts in all of Disney history. And that is saying a lot because there is indeed an incredible number of animal characters out there who play comedic sidekick roles of one kind or another. I think it has to do with this character's expression and posture and even just the way in which he expresses his pride and the way in which his pride can so easily be put to nothing. And this character starts out as a villain in the beginning of Tangled but he does find his way to the light.

Question 24

Name this character!

This character is a pretty easy one to name and no, it's not because his name is Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Sure, that is the guy who voices the character but, obviously, that is not his actual character name. No, instead, this character's name is made easy because he is very simply named after a Hawaiian island. There are only so many of those out there and if people just aren't cultured enough to know at least a couple of the island names then there is really nothing that I can do to help out here. And besides, I'm not the one who needs to answer the question.

Question 25

Name this character!

Oh, this is one of my favorites out there and not just because he is one of the few French characters who actually speaks with an accent. It has much more to do with his sense of fun and humor and his ability still to take stock of things when they truly are serious. Of course, his comedic counterpart in the film is always serious and that makes for some great and classic comedy. I mean, there must always be the straight man and the one actually being a buffoon and this guy plays the charming buffoon really quite well.

Question 26

Name this character!

Oh look, it's that character from that movie whose name escapes me. But that's alright because every quiz-taker here very clearly and very easily knows just who this character is and just what movie she is from. After all, everyone here is a true Disney...at least to some extent, right? I would like to think so at any rate. This is probably the first of all the leading female Disney characters who actually went out of her way to fight for what she wanted (literally) and she is perhaps one of the more important characters because of that, even if not among the most famous.

Question 27

Name this guy!

Here is a guy who really does not know quite what he wants in life, that is for sure. Of course, he does find out along the way while he travels with his hilarious and ridiculous reindeer friend. I love the partnerships that come from these Disney character who have animals friends who follow them about and will do anything to help while still sort of trying to get under their skin. It makes more some great comedic and makes what could be a pretty dark film much lighter and more fun to enjoy with friends. I bet this guy never planned to meet a princess.

Question 28

Name this character!

I just have to say it right now so that no one can say that they didn't know (unless they don't read the description, of course)...there is just no way that anyone here could possibly get this questions wrong. I mean, Disneyland and Disneyworld go out of their way to make sure that people are wearing this character's ears whenever they stroll through the park. And while that sounds very creepy indeed, it is very true that this character is pretty well the mascot of the company and has long been a part of outreach to children as well as heavy marketing to children.

Question 29

Name this villain!

Oh, here we go. One of the best Disney villains, by far. This guy is so animated, it is wonderful. And no, that was not a pun. I don't mean literally animated (though he is). I mean to say that he is expressive in an incredibly over the top yet wonderfully creepy sort of way. There is something about the way in which he is so clearly a snake (especially at the end when he is actually a giant snake) that makes him a lot of fun to watch. It's not that people really cheer for him, but they just love to watch how obviously villainous he is.

Question 30

Name this character!

I have to say that I think this guy is actually one of the heroes of the piece, for the most part. All up until the end when he does try and get rid of Elsa. But it really is not his fault. I get it. I mean, Elsa is responsible for all of the cold and unfortunate standards of living in her kingdom. And what does she do? She just walks away from the kingdom. At least this guy steps up and really does help and makes a huge difference. Sure, it's because he is so far down the line for the throne, but he is right and good for the most part.

Question 31

Name this character!

Here is one of the most ridiculous of all the characters on the list. And I mean...his name sort of says it all if I'm entirely honest. And that is not even giving away anything. Everyone should know this character anyway. And those who don't know this character will likely struggle to pass most of the rest of the quiz, that's for sure. Anyway, this character has been around for a very long time. he's had his own show, his own movies and was a huge deal through the 90s because of this. Now he is found in the Kingdom Hearts series.

Question 32

Name this character!

This character is one of the greatest for sure. There is something about a character that is voiced by Robin Williams that just really sets that character apart from pretty well any other. Robin Williams was one of the greatest comedy acts of our time and still pretty much is as well, even though he is no longer with us. He had a great ability in Aladdin to make adult jokes while still keeping everything PG for the kids. I mean, he did that in anything he worked on if there was some sort of censor concern. He was comically brilliant.

Question 33

Name this character!

One of the most ridiculous villains of all time in the Disney world, there is something about this hulking guy with a huge ego problem that is both equal parts hilarious and creepy. It is true that he pretty much chases after Belle in a very non-consensual way, that's for sure. And besides him not paying attention to what Belle does or does not want, he loses his mind when he finds out about the beast. All of that aside, if possible, he is hilarious simply because of how incredibly arrogant he is and how he views himself and others.

Question 34

Name this guy!

This guy is not one of the greatest of all the characters on this list but he is certainly well known. I mean, he is, after all, part of the great modern wave of Disney films and he is surrounded by characters that make the story he is a part of way more hilarious than it ever could be without him. That all being said, I don't want to come across harsh on this character. He is a smarmy and relatively charming character and this is pretty well the only reason that he actually ends up making it to the end, so there is that!

Question 35

Name this fishy friend!

Everyone knows the character on the right, for sure. there is no losing track of that very iconic character in the realm of Disney Princesses. However, perhaps not everyone recalls her fishy friend here. It should be pretty easy since the name of the character is also the actual name of the fish in real life. Sure, the real version is not as visually vibrant and appealing but that does not change the fact that it is trivially easy to name this fish whose name is both the name of the character as well as the name of the fish species itself.

Question 36

Name this character!

Well, this character has got to be one of the easiest ones to know right off the bat and not even because she is one of the most iconic and oldest characters either. She is pretty much one of the newest characters and in spite of the fact that she is completely irresponsible and almost ends up causing her whole kingdom to perish because she is not willing to try and actually deal with her problems, she is one of the most beloved characters in Disney right now. I think it's because kids don't think that much about it and she can build anything out of ice and snow.

Question 37

Name this character!

Here is a good 'ol classic character who has been around the block more than a few times in the Disney world. This character has been close friends with Goofy and Mickey for some incredible amount of time. And now, it is actually pretty easy to find the character, even though he's not often in a show or film anymore. All anyone has to do is grab a Playstation and get back into Kingdom Hearts. This character is one of the main playable characters in the game and his whole neurotic mission is to find and rescue King Mickey. Fun stuff.

Question 38

Name this character!

This character is probably one of the most ridiculous neurotic of all the Disney characters. He is always serious, he always tries to tread lightly and do everything by the book. Of course, if I had a big hulking master who looked like some furry creature with fangs and claws...I might be inclined to stay in line as well. That all being said, though, this character's best friend is the funny man who plays off of the fact that this particular character is pretty well the definition of a straight man in comedy. He doesn't try to be funny and he really tries to be serious...tries.

Question 39

Name these two slippery characters!

These two slippery characters are certainly a creepy dup to have around a film. That being said, these were two of my favorite characters from The Little Mermaid, almost wholly because they looked and acted so cool. I realize that they are bad guy sand that there is no reason I should cheer for them but they really are so cool that they do deserve some sort of shout out. And after all, they are just doing what they are told by a pretty big tyrant of a leader who would certainly never take "no" for an answer from these guys.

Question 40

Name this character!

This is one of the creepiest and yet one of the coolest villains in the Disney universe, for sure. There is something about him that is very off-putting I think it has to do with his faith. This guy, who happens to be a judge, if a very religious man. And considering where The Hunchback of Notre Dame takes place, it makes perfect sense that this judge is Catholic. And because of that and the time period that the film is set in, he is a very repressed sort of guy who cannot really make sense of his feeling towards people.

Question 41

Name this character!

This is one nutty character, for sure, who has actually creeped out a lot of people before, in the past. There was a live action production of Alice In Wonderland not all that long ago starring Johnny Depp and this character was voiced by the rather famous Stephen Fry who is a very accomplished actor, to say the least. With regards to the original animated film all I know is that this character is creepy and very mischievous. And that is putting it all mildly. I mean, the whole movie is quite the trip, but this character intensifies it, for sure.

Question 42

Name this character!

Perhaps one of the best known villains in the Disney universe for no other reason than that he so very accomplished in his villainy. I mean, he goes out of his way to chase after a group called The Lost Boys and one specific boy called Peter Pan and while this story has been around a lot longer than Disney, there is something about a man with a bit of a deformity chasing after a group of kids that is just necessarily worrisome. That is pretty well every big name creepy movie out there in the world. And yet...this character is also pretty funny.

Question 43

Name this character!

Oh, the days when Tim Allen voiced a character for Disney. That was a great time. The Toy Story series is probably one of the best loved franchises in the Disney universe. I am actually not entirely sure as to why this is but it quite plainly is. The first film was a whole new way of looking at animation. The second film didn't do all that great but was still a success...and then the third and final film was a huge hit! This particular character really loved to play up his toy backstory...and then it actually came true, which made it all the more fun.

Question 44

Name this character!

Here is one of my very favorite Disney character of all time. I absolutely love this character. And I love her even more now that she is played by Emma Watson. There really is something sweet and endearing about this character, but also strong and right at the same time. She is smart, well-read, has a sense of the world and her place in it and it is not the typical place that women find themselves in when it comes to Disney. She is content being her own independent woman. And she has a beautiful voice, and a huge heart.

Question 45

Name this character!

Maybe this character is one of the funniest or silliest of all the characters. This character is featured heavily in The Jungle Book, and is voiced by the same actor who plays Little John in the animated Robin Hood film put out by Disney as well. The actor in question was actually very prolific in this era of Disney animation. At any rate, this character in question is one of the most easy going characters ever to have walked or talked in a Disney film. Sure, maybe the chill surfer turtles from Finding Nemo are just a bit more chill, but this guy surely loves to loves life.

Question 46

Name this character!

Here is one of the greatest classic Disney princesses of all time. I mean, she certainly should be one of the best known. Sure, she is not the oldest of the Disney princesses since the first one hit the big screen back in the 30s, but this one made her debut in 1959 and was the first one to be produced with a new animation and camera system. It is amazing to see new breakthroughs even now in the land of animation, but this princess was a part of one of the early breakthroughs back in the day. She also tried to hide her name in the film.

Question 47

Name this character!

There is something about this character that makes me smile and that makes me worry. I think this is the same sort of thing that her father must feel. She is so gullible and naive to the outside world but she is also so curious and loves life so much that it is hard not to find her so sweet and endearing in her ignorance. Of course, she gets a pretty intense education when it comes to just what the outside world is like beyond the depths of the ocean...and even just deeper into the ocean as well. And she still comes out on top!

Question 48

Name this character!

Here is one of the most sensible characters in the latest run of Disney films. At least, she is pretty sensible when compared to her sister. True, this girl cannot control the ice and snow but, to be fair, neither could her sister for most of the film Frozen. And because of this, she and her new husband (who does end up being slightly a villain) must take care of the kingdom and do everything they can to make sure everyone is ok in spite of the fact that her sister is slowly freezing everyone in the kingdom because she won't face her issues.

Question 49

Name this character!

Riff raff...street rat...whatever anyone wants to call him, he is actually a very sweet character who, in spite of being a thief, has a very good heart and a very clever mind. And to be fair, he is only a thief because the social system in which he was brought up doesn't really allow for him to become gainfully employed or well off. So he does what he needs to in order to get by. And even then, he still goes out of his way to help those who are more in need than he is. That doesn't mean he won't try and help himself, but he knows what is right.

Question 50

Name this character!

Here he is. One of the many animal sidekicks out there who does actually not really talk but can still very clearly express himself and most often in hilarious ways. This is the wonderfully cute and nutty companion of Aladdin and I have to say that without this character, it is pretty clear in the film that Aladdin would have never made it...well, he never really would have made it anywhere. Pretty well every single time Aladdin gets into trouble (save for when the Genie pulls him from the depths of the sea) this character is there to help get the guy out of trouble.
