Even The Biggest Lord Of The Rings Fans Won't Get 100% On This Quiz

The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit are two three-part fantasy movies which were inspired by the books written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Both of the protagonists are hobbits that came from the Baggins family - in the prequel it was Bilbo who was Frodo’s uncle, and then Frodo carried on his adventurous legacy in the next three.

Although the films were produced out of order (with the prequel releasing after the first three), Bilbo first began his journey across Middle-Earth when a group of dwarves came to recruit them for a very personal quest. This quest consisted of taking back the Lonely Mountain which once belonged to the dwarves from a vicious dragon who had claimed the mountain as his home. Although there were many trials and troubles along the way, including a giant battle of five different armies, their efforts prove to be successful.

Fast forward a couple of decades where Frodo’s journey begins with Bilbo’s “retirement.” After inheriting the One Ring, a powerful object which was forged out of pure malice, he and a group of unlikely heroes band together to help Frodo deliver the ring to its rightful place in the fires where it was first forged.
