Even Sports Junkies Can't Match The Mascot To The Sports Team

When thinking of sports teams, it’s hard not to think about the mascots that go along with them. In fact, mascots have basically become synonymous with sports teams. Moreover, mascots are even sometimes more famous than the players on the actual team. Players come and go, but it’s the mascots that are really the ones that stick with the team whether they are having a winning or a losing season. Think about it: it’s probably a lot easier to name a team’s mascot than all of the players on the team.

Mascots become so well known and loved that there is even a Mascot Hall of Fame to honor these amazing individuals. But what really makes a mascot great is how it resonates with the fans. It’s not just about throwing on a ridiculous looking costume and dancing like a fool. It’s about getting the audience involved, pumping up the crowd, and making sure everyone is having a great time. And that’s not to say that they don’t wear ridiculous looking costumes, because as anyone can see, they clearly do. But mascots are so much more than that. Good luck trying to figure out which mascots belong to which teams.
