Even Hardcore Disney Fans Can't Name The Movie From Just 3 Words

We don't mean to sound hyperbolic here, but in all honesty, Disney movies are kind of everything. There so important, and, speaking purely personally, they become more and more relevant with each passing day. Sure, Disney movies are great for kids. Those little rugrats love these films, and we don't blame them one iota because Disney movies are great. But only as we age do we truly begin to understand the depth of these films. Only as we mature and experience more and more of life's many trials and tribulations—only then are the truths, lessons and miracles of Disney's spectacular stories revealed to us.

Call us immature or nostalgic, but we love Disney movies more than ever, and that love is only going to intensify. It's so strong now, in fact, that we marathon watch Disney films on a regular basis, which means not only can we sing every song from every musical film without missing a beat, but it also means that we can act out entire scenes from these movies on command. We know the lines from these films as though we were the actors trying for the part. The question is, who else out there can name the Disney film from just three words? Give it a shot!

Question 1

"You fight good."

Wow, how is that for a compliment, huh? Who wouldn't want to be told that they fight good? That is *so* much better than the cliched "OMG! You're looking amazing these days!" thing that people are pretty much required to say to you meet up. And, sure, "You fight good," may not be grammatically correct, but we like it. And we're sure that if you rack your brains for a minute or two, it'll dawn on you just which film this little one-liner comes from.

Question 2

"I can read!"

This one really shouldn't be that hard. 'Course, to be fair, we are super hardcore Disney fans. We don't mean to brag or anything, but we can act out whole scenes from the films, and we have on numerous occasion. So it could be that because *we* are so well-versed in all things Disney and Disney quotes, that we're inadvertently allowing our profound Disney-based knowledge to interfere with our expectations of you all and *your* ability to recognize Disney quotes. Who knows? Anyway, guess the movie.

Question 3

"Yeah, still good."

Context is everything, because if you just looked at these three words all by themselves, you may not necessarily think anything of them. They don't seem to mean much one way or the other all by themselves, but once you remember what speech this quote comes from, once you remember the movie this line was in, then and only then will you, like us, burst into tears. Figure this one out, and pretty soon, your heart will be thoroughly wrenched. But that's the only clue we can afford to give you.

Question 4

"I am speed."

These three words came from a Disney movie, and we realize that that's not really helpful at all, but we're afraid that if we give you any more information, then we'll wind up giving the answer away and looking like a big bunch of ninnies—and since we *already* look like a big bunch of ninnies, we're just going to zip our lips. But first, we must ask you: do you know which Disney movie this quote came from? Good luck guessing!

Question 5

"Where's my supersuit?"

Oh, come on! Even we can't believe how easy this one is! We couldn't be making this guessing game any simpler with this quote, and if you're on the internet as often as we are, then chances are pretty darn good that you've seen a meme or two pertaining to this quote. We don't want to tell you too much, but we will say that the film this quote comes from was released some time between 2000 and 2016. Hope that helps!

Question 6

"Pinned ya again!"

Hmm. Well, we know that this line came from a Disney movie. No big duh there, right? But it's a good thing that we *do* know that it's from a Disney movie, otherwise we might say that these three words were said by us when we were browsing Pinterest the other night and we made the mistake of pinning something that we had already pinned at some point before. We know that in no way helps you figure out which film this line's from, but *shrugs*. What can ya do?

Question 7

"Bang the drum."

"Bang the drum"? Well...okay. We mean, we'll have to go pick one up down at the pawn shop, but they close at four, and it's already 3:45, it's going to take us at least five minutes to throw on some pants, another five minutes for a quick nap before we leave, then ten minutes to walk down there. As you can see, that's not enough time. So instead of actually banging the drum, we're just going to ask you if you know which Disney film this line is from. Well, do ya?

Question 8

"Here's your frog."

Where?! Oh, oh, right, this is just another line from a Disney movie. Not for nothin', but for a second there, we thought someone had our frog. See, we used to have a pet frog back in fifth grade, his name was Toadstopher, and one day, we got home from school, and he had escaped his terrarium. Our mom said she didn't know his whereabouts, but we've always suspected she knew more than she was saying. Anyway...guess the Disney film. Come on, you know you wanna!

Question 9

"I came home."

Every Disney movie is different. Each one comes to life with the vivid imagery, the complex characters, the elaborate storylines. But as unique as each Disney film is, they've all got a few things in common, and one of those things is the fact that each and every single one of them manages to pull at our heartstrings like a concert violinist. To be frank, this line could easily have come from any number of Disney films, so it's a toughie. But we've narrowed your options down to four to help you out.

Question 10

"Whole new world."

Scores of Disney characters pine for a life that is completely different than their own. They crave adventure and independence and the freedom to explore and display who they truly are. That's why it's so easy to relate to these fictional people, it's 'cause they're all so darn relatable, for crying out loud! Another recurring theme in Disney movies is the main character(s)'s desire to be truly, wholly and sincerely themselves. A nice enough sentiment, to be sure, but that doesn't much help you figure out where this quote came from. Care to guess?

Question 11

"Falling with style."

Okay, we don't want you to think that we're dissing Disney, because that could not be further from the truth. But we will tell you this much. We've spent our whole lives being extremely clumsy—we're talking tripping on air level non-coordination over here—and we've never mastered the art of falling with style. It's so out of hand at this point that we're beginning to suspect that such a thing is not even possible—at least, not outside of the movie that these three words were taken from.

Question 12

"A dangerous pastime."

"A dangerous pastime." We'll give you a hint here, these three words are said by a character in response to another character saying, "I've been thinking", which makes for a funny conversation. And it's very, very true, too, because thinking can be a dangerous pastime. Our cousin decided to spend some time thinking once, and that was when he decided to open up a pet rock store. This was just last year. We mean, what were you thinking, cousin Steve? This isn't the 70's, that's never gonna work! Anyway, which movie are these three words from?

Question 13

"I'm a damsel."

Alright, here's your hint, are you ready for it? These three words are said by a Disney leading lady. Which leading lady you ask? Well, now, that's for you to decide. If you're a serious Disney fan, the kind who whips out various Disney fun facts at parties and weirds out the other guests, then the answer to this one should be a real breeze. If not? Then you need to rearrange your schedule, free up your weekend and have a Disney movie marathon...OR ELSE!

Question 14

"Above all: self-control."

Guess where this quote came from. Go on, do it. Got any idea? We've got four options for you to choose from, best of luck trying to figure out which one is the *right* one. But hold on for just a second, we wanna talk about this. This is good advice. Self-control is so important, especially in this day and age, when vending machines have card readers and there's literally nothing standing between us and 20 Snickers bars. Nothing, that is, except for self-control.

Question 15

"He was sprightly."

"Sprightly"? Now there's a word that you don't hear in everyday small talk sessions. We can count on one hand the conversations in which the word "sprightly" was used, and that should help you narrow down which Disney film these three words came from, since that is such a distinctive word. According to the dictionary—the go-to source for all things, as long as it pertains to the definition of words—sprightly means agile, nimble, lively and full of energy. AND if you ditch the L and Y and spell it Sprite, then it's a soft drink.

Question 16

"Stink it up."

Ew, no. Why would you want to do that? Don't stink it up, stop that! Yuck! This Disney quote may be a tough one to pin down at first, and indeed you may not get it until we reveal the answer to you, but once you figure it out, whether you figure it out on your own or we have to tell you, you'll think to yourself, "Oh, duh! That seems obvious!" We'll give you a little hint, though, to help you out: this film was made in the 2000's. Hope that helps!

Question 17

"Ye have, laddie."

As if the quote weren't enough to tip you off, we'll lay this out for you. These three words were uttered by a Scottish character in a Disney movie, but when it comes to which Disney movie it is, you're going to have to tell us. Now, there have been a handful of Scottish characters in Disney's flicks over the years, but we're not about to tell you which movies they're in. Unless you know *exactly* who said this, then it looks like you're feeling around int he dark for this question.

Question 18

"My tail's froze."

Hmm. What can we glean from these three words, eh? Well, it looks like somebody, we suspect the character who is speaking, has a tail. And, furthermore, it appears that it is safe to assume that said tail is "froze". Things freeze by becoming cold, so somebody is cold and their tail really isn't taking it that well. Sorry, but we can't offer you any more hints than what we've provided in that break down, and we know it's not very helpful, but...

Question 19

"Thank you, Ms. Frou-Frou."

We don't know who this Ms. Frou-Frou is—well, actually, we do, because we've seen this, and every other Disney movie, loads of times, so we're familiar with all the characters—but we are in love with her nickname, and because the person who said these three words is thanking this Ms. Frou-Frou, we can only assume that she's a nice gal. Now, down to brass tacks! Take a moment. Think about your options here, and the quote we've given you. And...when you're ready...choose your answer. NO PRESSURE!

Question 20

"Like the river."

Water. It's symbolic, isn't it? And you know Disney's writers, those talented people are all about the symbolism, and it's worth mentioning that it's attention to detail like that that makes their films such cinematic masterpieces. Anyway, back to water, specifically, rivers. They symbolize a whole bunch of things, from strength and the sheer power of the elements, to steadiness and patience, to simply the passage of time, rivers are super symbolic and the things they symbolize are as seemingly endless as they are. Which film did these three words come from?

Question 21

"Have a bite."

Yum! Oh, okay, we're not prepared, we don't have a bib or a knife or a fork or anything, but we'd be happy to sample something for you. Man, we don't even care what it's a bite *of*, we're so hungry, we'll take it. Fingers crossed it's a donut, though, because we love us a sugary pastry. We would love to "have a bite" of a donut right about now. Sigh. Anyway. There are about a billion films these three words could be from. Take a guess from the four options we've got here.

Question 22

"Hello to Figaro."

We can't give you many hints here. In fact, scratch the M, make that *any*. We can't give you *any* hints here. Instead, let's break down the meaning behind these three words. You've got "hello", we think we all know what that means. It's a greeting. It means, well, hello. Next, we've got "to", that implies that the aforementioned "hello" is being given "to" and, given to who? Someone or something named "Figaro". Alright, so apparently we're no good at giving out hints, but you're the Disney fan, here, so you should be able to get this one no sweat!

Question 23

"Just one kiss?"

Like rivers, kisses are super symbolic in the wonderful world of Disney, too. Kisses signify true love, and they're so powerful that they often mark a turning point on screen. Think about how important "just one kiss" was in Sleeping Beauty. A smooch from her one, true love, that was all the napping Princess Aurora needed to awaken from her malevolent—or, should we say, Maleficent—induced slumber. A kiss can be the catalyst that shifts the paradigm, the spark that starts the fire. Kisses are a big deal! So, which film did these three words come from?

Question 24

"I'm a codfish."

Anytime you or someone you know is compared to or compares themselves to a fish, whether it's a codfish or a goldfish or a catfish or whatever else...we don't mean to be rude, but it's just never a good thing. It's not a compliment to be told you're similar to a fish. As a quote, though, this is pretty distinctive, and while it may not be a classic one from the film it's featured in, it's definitely one that isn't easily forgotten. Wanna guess which movie these three words are from?

Question 25

"Purty. Purty flower."

Back to symbolism. You know what else is used pretty frequently in Disney films? Flowers! Why, just remember Beauty and the Beast. The rose in the glass terrarium thing in the West Wing of the Beast's castle, it was a big deal, no? Because when the last petal fell? Well, it wasn't good news for the Beast, that's for sure. And the quote about how the "flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all" from Mulan. Yes, flowers are a big deal for Disney, and they're mentioned in this film, too.

Question 26

"A piecrust promise."

Pinkie promises are great and all, but we can't help but think that "a piecrust promise" would be that much more official because, come on! How could it not be? We would love to get some flaky, buttery pastry in exchange for making a promise, that is *so* much better than making a blood oath. But, we guess it's a good thing promises don't involve a piecrust, otherwise we would never stop making them, and go up a coupe pant sizes. Anyway, which film did these three words come from? Anybody know?

Question 27

"Stop bothering Kevin!"

We don't know who this "Kevin" is (which is totally not true; we know exactly who Kevin is, but we're not about to tell you), but whoever is bothering him had best knock it off. Not only has Kevin had it up to here, so has his defender, the person saying these three words from *this* Disney film. Think about it, people, the answer should come to you in a second. Take a look at the answer options and give it another thought. You'll get it!

Question 28

"Legends are lessons."

This quote is kind of what Disney is all about. Taking age-old legends and turning them into lessons for us all to learn. Because that's what Disney movies do; they teach you something in such a way that you don't realize you're learning it. They spin their yarn, and they do it so well, so subtly that you don't realize you're getting a message, but you are. Disney educates AND entertains, and we think that's the mark of an excellent storyteller. So, which film did these three words originate from?

Question 29

"Open them ears!"

Maybe we made this one too easy for you...could be, could be. Or, maybe this is a trick question. It could be that the obvious answer to this one isn't the obvious answer at all, and that we slipped these three words from *this* Disney film into the quiz to trip you up. Gah, that sounds just like us, to be so devious and tricksy. But, being the good Disney fan you are, you probably know exactly which movie this quote comes from. Prove it to us now.

Question 30

"Congratulations, San Francisco!"

Alright, here's your hint for these three words, and feel free to thank us because this is a pretty big one. These three words are spoken about pizza. The character who says them is voicing their displeasure over the fact that San Francisco has apparently goofed up majorly in terms of that most delicious and delightful of junk foods. But that's the only clue you're going to get out of us, do you understand? Now, guess which film these three words are from. We know you can do it! Or...can you?

Question 31

"A thief takes."

Um, well, yeah. That's what a thief is, by definition, a thief is someone who takes things. *Obviously*, Disney quote! We mean, what else would a thief be? Actually, this Disney quote brings to light another popular tactic of the Disney writers, they sometimes state the obvious, but not in a way that's bothersome or annoying, they do it as a reminder. The simplicity and the undeniability of statements like these help wake the audience, and, often, other characters within the film, up. Want to take a guess as to which film these three words are from?

Question 32

"I trust Becky."

We don't have any hard data, no statistics or anything to back this statement up, but it has been our personal experience that Beckys are very reliable. Anytime we've ever left anything in the hands of a Becky, we've always been able to rest easy because experience has taught us that it's safe to have every confidence in a Becky because they're trustworthy, competent and they know how to get things done. Disney knows Beckys are good people, that's why they included this quote in *this* movie.

Question 33

"We were voyagers."

"We were voyagers". Without context, this one sounds a little vague, and it might refer to any number of Disney characters! But, see, the problem is if we reveal to you the context in which these three words were said, then the answer will be far too easy to guess, so we're not going to do that. Instead, what we'll tell you is that this film is about a heroine who's just trying be herself and make her way through this topsy-turvy world. Got a guess as to which film this quote's from?

Question 34

"Who I am."

We've included some real curve balls in this quiz, some super tough three word quotes we're sure that not everyone will get. But, we figured we would throw you a bone this time, so here's one that should come to you pretty quickly. We'll even give you one hefty helpful hint, which should go a long way towards helping you arrive at the correct answer. These three words were said in a musical number in one of the following Disney movies. Guess which one.

Question 35

"Ooh, gift baskets!"

This quote kind of comes out of the left field, because of all of the things that the Disney writers have chosen to use as a symbolic plot point or storyline (rivers, flowers, etc.), gift baskets have never entered into that equation. And we'll tell you something else, even in the film in which this quote originates, gift baskets still aren't a major player. Think about each of the four following movies. Try to recall exactly what happens in each. And, when you're ready, give it a guess.

Question 36

"Awww, participation award."

Aha! Now here are three words that we can really deduce something useful from! Participation trophies, whether you love them or you don't agree with them at all, are a pretty recent development. These puppies really didn't roll around until the early 2000's, and they're still around today, which means this Disney movie must have been released within the past 18 years. That narrows things down a little! And, lucky for you, we've narrowed things down even further. These three words came from which of the following four Disney films?

Question 37

"The water's stiff."

Rivers are hugely symbolic in the realm of Disney, but water all by itself is symbolic, too, whether it's a part of raging rapids or the still, deep ocean blue. But according to this quote, it doesn't appear that the symbolism of water is at all relevant, does it? It seems like the fact that the water is cold—or, rather, has gone "stiff"—is the real thing that we need to pay attention to. That's the key to guessing which film these three words are from.

Question 38

"A funny girl."

"A funny girl." Huh, you know, that really isn't helpful at all. We know you're an avid Disney fan, and we know you're just testing your Disney knowledge here, but we've really put you guys through the ringer, so we're going to help you out on this one, just in case your brain is stalling and needs a swift kick to the britches. This quote is said about a Disney Princess, but that's all the info we're revealing on this one. The rest is up to you.

Question 39

"Change my fate."

Of all of the similarities in Disney films, of all of the shared symbolism and the lessons and so on, the biggest and most important thing, the one common denominator that ties them all together is...*drum roll*...fate. Destiny, that's what it's all about to nearly every single one of Disney's major characters. They're all the underdogs we're rooting for, just trying to be the master of their own fate—just like us! Which is yet another reason why they're so relatable. And because each Disney character is bent on controlling their fate, that makes it a little tough to figure out which film these three words originate from.

Question 40

"Funky-looking donkey."

If we didn't know any better, we would say that this quote came from Mushu, the delightfully funny little dragon sidekick of Disney Princess Mulan. But, here's the thing. Mushu *didn't* say this, in spite of the fact that it seems super sarcastic and snarky and, in other words, exactly like something he might say. No, no, no, Mushu isn't the source of this quote, but a character from one of the following films is, and it's your job right now to guess which one is correct. Good luck!
