The Dragon Ball franchise has been going on for a very long time now, starting out as a manga and then moving onto an anime, which is when people really started to take interest in the show! It's a crazy series, the sort of thing that can really get its hooks into those that like their shows do have a massive cast of characters that are getting up to weird antics that would never happen in the real world. What we want to do is see how many people can actually name as many Dragon Ball characters as possible! There are a lot of them after all...

Yes, we have put together a quiz made up entirely of Dragon Ball characters, and want to see how many people will be able to actually name all of them. Seriously, there are a lot of them! We don't think that even the greatest fan in the world that has spent their entire lives watching the series will be able to name every single one of these.

It's time we got started and put all of the Dragon Ball fans out there to the test, to see who really is the biggest fan out there.

This character is a perfect example of why we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Despite the fact that this man is huge and intimidating, he is actually quite calm and has a genuine care for the things around him. Even though he was created for the same sort of thing, he actually ended up despising the bad side, meaning that he joined forces with the people that we're actually rooting for. We don't know about everybody else, but we think that there's nothing better than someone realizing that what they're doing is wrong and that they need to change things up.

One of the things that we always quite liked about this character, as a child, was the fact that she was a tomboy but also had girly attributes as well. Looking back now, it wasn't actually that smart, but it felt like it at the time! Essentially, she refuses to let people treat her differently because she's a woman and has a huge temper on her. However, alongside that she also takes a lot of time getting into tantrums, annoyed at the way those around her are acting. Alongside this, she is also very smart, inventing things beyond our imagination.

The most important part of this character's personality is how intelligent he is, being used as an adviser by one of the most villainous characters that is found within the DBZ universe. It has to be said that anyone who is smart enough to advise one of the strongest characters in the series is head and shoulders above the rest of the people in the universe, and that should scare anyone out there that is hoping to take down the bad people who are plotting to take down their enemies no matter what it takes! We wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of this character...

This guy is known for being the main genius of his planet, which is probably a good sign of someone having some true intelligence. Throw in the fact that this man can actually speak thousands of known languages, and we think it's fair to say that he's one of the smartest people ever seen throughout the Dragon Ball universe. We don't think it's possible to get much smarter if I'm honest. If there's anyone out there that can speak more than three or four languages, we automatically think of them as being smarter than the average person, so this guy is taking it to the next level.

One thing that intrigues us about this guy is the fact that, even though he looks the same as he did when he first came on the scene, he is actually hundreds of years old and has been working as an attendant to various powerful people throughout the Dragon Ball universe. Unlike a lot of the people we see in the show, this character has actually proven themselves to be incredibly loyal, meaning that he does a lot of things for the people that he works for, whether that is advising them or just doing the general things people need doing.

The thing we all enjoy Dragon Ball for is the Saiyan's the alien race that has power well beyond the abilities of people found on Earth, which is why it's so important that they continue to have children with the Earthlings they fall in love with because that will help keep the race going. It's important that, even though they won't end up being full Saiyan's, that they make the effort to keep this power on the Earth, as this alien race has saved the human race from certain destruction on so many occasions that it's probably smart to keep them around at this point.

This character is a perfect example of how the human race refuses to let other people save them, never wants to think that the planet would have to be saved by someone else. We don't know why this is, as we would just be happy that we were saved from certain destruction, but for some reason it's this man that the humans believe saves the day, despite the fact that this man is definitely all bluster. Sure, the guy has strength and nobody is denying the muscles, but he definitely doesn't have enough to take on an alien from another planet.

Despite the fact that the alien races in this universe have a strength that human beings can never dream of, it is actually this man that trained all of the major good guys that we know from the universe. In fact, this is the man that originally invented the Kamehameha Wave that would go on to become the iconic attack of the show, the thing that people wanted to see whenever they saw Goku or Gohan end up in a battle. He is a man that has put in the time to become a true martial arts master, so he has earned the right to be remembered.

This is the sort of character that we really get upset about, the one that gets under our skin and makes us feel uncomfortable. This is because he has regularly proved to the world that he is incredibly sadistic, someone that finds pleasure in hurting the people around them, which can be seen when he enters into battle. That being said, he is very erudite, able to come across as very calm and collected with a high level of intelligence. The sort of people that can come across like this in person are the really dangerous people, the ones that then suddenly turn on others.

We've already commented on the fact that human beings and mortals are not as respectful as they should be of the people that continue to save their planet, but believe it or not, there are actually people like his character that have very little respect for the world of mortals. Anybody who has watched a lot of the series knows that the characters travel to various different places throughout their journeys, and this man refuses to accept that mortals should be allowed into the spirit world, that they just shouldn't be allowed to walk the same hallowed ground as him.

Despite the fact that she chooses to hold onto her feminity as much as possible while growing up, it has to be said that she most takes after her father, showing a level of assertiveness that most other young people would not have by that time in their development. She is strong as well, and refuses to compromise what she believes in or be intimidated by other people. Her father is a character that a lot of people are scared of, but even as a baby, this character was able to smile and laugh with him and not be scared.

Like we've already mentioned, this show has some pretty out there characters, and this martial arts expert that is a cat proves that more than most others we think. Not only that, but it's 800 years old, meaning that it surpasses many of the other characters in age. Even though he likes to play tricks on people and have also proved to be a very strict teacher at times, everyone admits that he's a good guy, somebody that wants the best for everyone that treats others well. This can be seen in how he treats Goku when he stops himself from stealing the water.

While we've already commented on the fact that people make us worried when they show themselves to be dangerous and powerful, while also proving to be pretty calm and erudite at times, there's also the characters like this one that have a new level of creepy. Not only is this character quite possibly the most powerful villain within the Dragon Ball Z series, but he is also very childish and playful. It's as if he doesn't even know that he has the power he does, and when the realization hits, it's easy to see that he knows if people don't play along, he can end them.

This character is an example of the way that Dragon Ball as a series refuses to accept that a character will always act a certain way, whether that's always act good or refuse to change their bad ways. When this man is first thrown into the series, he's given a personality that places him as a villain, a warrior that seems to only want to live for himself, no matter who it hurts. Even though he is always scared of women, the main thing that changes about this man is that he throws himself towards the world of good and courage.

This character doesn't just look like a cat, but actually acts much like one as well. Despite the fact that this character has such a huge amount of power, it spends a lot of his time lazing about and being playful with the things around him. Not only that, but he ends up becoming a supporting character to good characters within the Dragon Ball universe, despite the fact that he started out as an enemy to Goku and his mates. Yet another sign that there's always a chance that people will change, a good lesson to teach the audience for sure.

Rather than enjoying the defeat of his enemies, it has to be said that this character works as a villain, showing that he enjoys toying with his enemies and taunting them for their supposed lack of power. However, despite this darker side to the man, we do also know that he cares deeply for the people he has close to him. Not only that, but he can also be quite flamboyant, choosing to make poses throughout his fights. This is to show off his personality, but also to show his enemies that he's able to mess around while fighting them.

When we're younger, we often consider those that shout the loudest to be the strongest, and it's not until we get older that we realize this isn't the truth. This is exemplified to a large extent by this very quiet character who is also an extremely accomplished martial arts expert with the power to take down people much larger and louder than himself. He's also known for being a very loyal friend, namely to Tien, a man that he trains with a lot of the time. The two of them are rarely seen without each other, being the best of friends.

This is the most prominent character in the Dragon Ball series that is wholly human, not having any alien genes within him, but he still make an effort to work hard on his martial arts training. While he admits that he did not like Goku when they first met, training as they did under Master Roshi, he came to consider him a best friend. He is regularly used to inject some humor into what can end up becoming rather dramatic and draining scenes, unable to feel normal and comfortable with odd goings on as he is, after all, still human.

This villain has a dual purpose within the Dragon Ball series, wanting to take revenge for the fact that his father was imprisoned by Kami, but also wanting to show that he has the power to control others. His ultimate goal, which is thwarted in the end by Gohan, is to enslave all of Earth. The image we have provided here is actually a second form, a more powerful one that he moves to when he realizes that he must take on Piccolo and Goku at the same time, a feat that he is unable to manage in his normal form.

While she may have shown her powers in the past, she is still a princess, and even when she has engaged in battle it has always been through a flood of tears and rage. This is likely why this woman decided that she would not continue down this path once she was an adult, choosing instead to become a caring mother to her husband and children. She is often written as being nagging and overprotective, but this becomes less surprising when she is forced to deal with the loss of her husband, something she doesn't want to have to do with her son.

Despite the fact that he has shown himself capable of performing genuinely caring acts, as well as putting his life on the line in an attempt to help others and save the Earth, it is often only in an attempt to prove that he is the most powerful person around. His number one goal throughout much of his life has been to overtake the strength of Goku and prove to himself and everyone else that he is the strongest being to ever exist, that no warrior will ever be able to surpass his might not matter how hard they try.

This young boy has the power within him to prove that he is one of the strongest beings to ever exist, but unlike his father and brother, he often refuses to take on this power. He's more interesting in living the life of a child. He spends a lot of time with his best friend, Trunks, and despite having a mother that love structure, he is allowed to follow his own forms of entertainment as long and he stays out of trouble. Throughout the show, it's seen that he has a deep and sincere love for animals, which we can always respect!

While the Dragon Ball series has shown that it can easily come up with characters that are pretty vile to the core, we always thought this small alien took it to a whole new level. Most of the villains are still able to show loyalty to the ones around them, but this little guy has no respect for anyone. He shows no remorse in taking out his own allies if it means that it gets him closer to where he wants to be, often getting rid those who have outlived their use just because it satisfies him to do just that.

While he certainly is one of the most powerful characters that the protagonists come across, this guy doesn't show a bullish personality, rather choosing to highlight just how much more intelligent and erudite he is when compared to most other characters in the series. That being said, he also has an obsession with pain and torment, delighting in the destruction of his foes and the downfall of those who choose to stand against him. Rather than doing what he wants and then moving on, he will stick around to gloat at the expense of his enemies, which makes him vile to watch.

Being the brother of Goku, it's no surprise that this man has the trademark hair, but he's so much more than just a hairstyle! He is a conflicted character, one that is nothing like his brother or parents, choosing instead to be brutal and arrogant like so many other Saiyan warriors out there. He has shown mercy in the past, such as when he offered Goku the chance to become a member of Frieza's army, but those that get in his way are sure to have him come at them with a ruthless amount of force, stopping them at any means necessary.

Like so many other villains in the series, this is a man who loves destruction, taking this to an extreme level. This is the how the character spends his downtime, and how he finds entertainment in the world to keep him going. The first thing he asks of Vegeta when arriving on Earth is whether or not he can just get rid of an entire town for no reason whatsoever. While he's waiting for the arrival of Goku, he is allowed to ruin anything and everything that he wants to, as long as it only uses up a small amount of his energy to do so.

The Dragon Ball series is filled with a lot of weird things, the sort of things that are obviously impossible to explain in the real world, but of all of them, we think this woman is the one that confuses us the most. This poor woman has a disorder that causes her to switch personalities whenever she sneezes, with the woman we show you here being caring and loving. However, the blonde woman that she turns into when she sneezes is much more ruthless, only caring for herself and the things she wants, which is why she will go on sprees stealing money.

Does anyone else think it's weird that every single old man in this show is a really creepy?! Yes, this man is pretty selfish and is willing to overlook a lot of stuff if it means that he gets what he wants, but he's ultimately on the side of good. If this God is asked to make a tough decision, he is willing to make a sacrifice so that he can ensure that right thing happens. However, he can be pretty childlike when he wants to be, and has been seen throwing tantrums by the audience on numerous occasions when he hasn't got his way.

While he is certainly an intelligent character, this man will often let the anger get the best of him, coming across as a lot more crass than the other people that he fights alongside. As people can probably tell from his design, he fights for the baddies, alongside the people that want Frieza to succeed. He is a man of extremes, always rushing into situations without thinking, letting anger take over him, and if he's in a situation where he is against someone stronger than him, he will be overcome by a worry unlike any other, with only Frieza able to calm him.

When creative people decide to add time travel to their story, we always think it's a bad idea because it rips open so many plot holes, but if we're honest, we glad they chose to do it with this guy because he was always one of our favorites. We get to see this character as an adult before we see them as a child, and while he's an adventurous little child, as an adult,, he has seen too much destruction to not taking everything too seriously. He travels back in time to help the heroes of Dragon Ball, which makes him a great character in our books!

One of the things that the writers have to keep thinking of how is how to raise the stakes when they've already made their main heroes so strong, and we think they found a perfect balance with this villain. Rather than just being a single character that can occasionally change form, this is a being that was made to be perfected, created to take in the form of other characters to become more powerful. Not only that, but he has seemingly endless regenerating health, meaning that to defeat him, some of the heroes had to try and get a little bit creative!

Despite being one of Goku's best friends, this man takes things a lot more seriously. He didn't start out as a friend, actually being a ruthless enemy to Goku, who he wanted to take down no matter what the cost. However, he creates a bond with the man through mutual respect for his fighting ability and sense of honor. This is then made even stronger by his bond with the son of Goku, Gohan, who he helps train into the Saiyan master that he eventually becomes. This respect for strength is what brings him into the Dragon Team and fight for the good guys.

Rather than most of the other antagonists on this list who delight in helping those who need it, this is just someone that Goku and Bulma came across while they were once searching the Earth for Dragon Balls. He is actually a coward, and has no problem with admitting that to anybody who happens to ask, his fighting skills not being what gets him through life. He is also rather perceptive and cynical, meaning that he's unlike pretty much any of the other protagonists or antagonists, who are either angry or choose to take naive or goofy look at the world instead.

The main character of the series, everyone should know who this man is. While he is shown time and time again to have more power than pretty much anyone else that has ever been introduced throughout the series, always awakening more potential within himself to become faster and better than before, he chooses not to take life too seriously. He loves food, and wants to enjoy the times when he's not being forced to fight to save the Earth, instead spending it with his family when he can, training when it seems fun and seeing his friends for some good times.

While she is calm and collected like her brother, she has a sarcastic streak that makes her stand out from the others, her humor proving to be rather sardonic at times. While she starts out as someone that wants to take down Goku at all costs, she eventually turns to their side, being offered a chance at a new life. She settles down with Krillin, and they have a child together. We enjoy it when they choose to allow the bad guys to become the good guys, highlighting that negativity is always a choice that can be overcome by humanity!

Anyone that has spent a lot of time watching the Dragon Ball series will recognize this character, but that doesn't mean they'll be able to remember the name! Being a God, this character has an immense power unlike any of the other characters found within this quiz. He is summoned by collecting together all of the Dragon Balls, and once he has been summoned, he is able to grant the wish of whoever summoned him. While he is fundamentally kind at heart, he has been shown to have somewhat of a temper, threatening those that get on his nerves and even attacking another dragon.

Being the guardian of Earth is a pretty huge job, so it's not as if it would be handed off to just anybody. That being said, this small character doesn't seem particularly imposing, his power being much more than his stature would imply. He looks very similar to Piccolo as a child, but he grows older during his appearances in the series, and this leads to him having his own aesthetic, even changing into the attire that is befitting a character of his power in the universe. He takes over the position of Earth Guardian after Goku requests it of him.

While she is mainly an Earthling, this young woman has the power of a Saiyan bubbling within her, which is likely why she was such a confident child, very sure of herself at an age well before most people would have gained the confidence to stand up for themselves. That being said, she has made it very clear that she doesn't approve of the fact that her parents have alter-egos that allow them to look after those. She finds it embarrassing that they dress up and go play hero, rather than being who they are and showing that to the world.

The first thing the audience realizes about this character is that he's hugely strict, ordering around the men underneath him and making sure that they do as their told. That being said, he is also very loyal, and while he may be loyal to the wrong people, he does not cross those that he works with. When fighting those that he is against, he is ruthless, but also shows that he has an interest in honor, never wanting to use underhanded techniques to win against those that stand against him, which is something that not a lot of enemies have in this universe!

When we are first introduced to this character, he is an enemy, a character that seems to revel in the fact that they cause mischief and pain while offering no reason for his actions. This obviously confuses and upsets those that he hurts, something that he enjoys. However, he ends up redeeming himself, and when he is given a chance to be alive again, he goes onto care for the beings of Earth, rather than taking them out as a way of working through his own dissatisfaction with life. We always like his character, and we're glad he turned good.
