There are many places you can live as a young adult. You can live with a roommate, with a significant other, on your own, or you could even live in your mother’s basement. No matter where you are living, there always seems to be a good reason for it…for the most part. The problem with living in your parent’s basement well into your 30s is that you could be taking advantage of your parent’s kindness. Why would you live in your parent’s basement for so long? Is it because they overprovided for you, and you don’t see the need to move out? Or are you afraid to take the next step?

If you are out on your own, there is a world of possibilities that opens up to you. You get to have your own space, and live life on your terms rather than on your parent’s terms. You can be spontaneous without checking in, and explore things without a rhyme or reason. But do you live in your mom’s basement or are you living out on your own? I bet we could guess.
